I would have to agree this was their first great album while the first two were good/okay.

I realize he definitely can't sing like he used to. I also realize that he's in is 60's and for his age sounds pretty damn good. Sure, the singing isn't the best nowadays but I'm still gonna enjoy listening to Rush regardless of the flaws.

I agree he still has some mush-mouth. But I think this is light years ahead of the previous 2 versions.

Yeah those are the real toughies for him to sing. Far Cry sounds bad now as well.

A lot of people make it seem that everything after p/g is crap when they just got less consistent with good songs. There's still some fantastic songs on the less-liked albums.

A thread dedicated to Power Windows, which IMO is some of their best work and perhaps Geddy's best bass work. My favorite song from the album is Middletown Dreams.

Just blasted this on my 5.1 system. Sounded phenomenal even though it was from YouTube. Can't wait to get my hands on the Blu Ray.

8/4/13 and 7/9/15 were magical shows. Especially when Paul Rudd came onstage for YYZ in 2013 :D

Yeah the band talked about remixing Caravan and BU2B for the actual album. Headlong Flight sounded much better as a single too.

The actual quality is better than the audio in the video because YouTube compresses audio when you upload a video.

Ive been telling folks here for Damn nearly a YEAR that CA was well recorded. Now people May start to believe me. It was well recorded, but the sound wall destroyed the good recording.

The FLAC version of CA that you get the download link to from the vinyl sounds so much better than the CD. I also used some EQ to make it sound even better. It sounds like a completely different album compared to the sound wall we all know and loathe. The drums actually punch, the bass sounds clean, the guitar is growly but clear, the vocals are powerful, and everything can breathe. Makes it a much more enjoyable listening experience :)

Why not a 5.1 Blu Ray of CA remastered by Bottrill? I would pay for that!

The Kansas City show was amazing. Great crowd and the band was on fire.

I like/love all the 80's albums. PeW: fantastic album with more experimentation into pop-y songs but still proggy on songs like JL and NatSci Moving Pictures: another fantastic album from start to finish including some of Rush's biggest hits. The Camera Eye is a masterpiece. Signals: delving deeper into synths creating a deep and more powerful sound. Great songs, great album. Grace Under Pressure: more synths than Signals but some of Mr Lifeson's best guitar work. Great production and great songs (except maybe Red Lenses) Power Windows: all great songs, great sound, and some of Geddy's finest bass work. Energetic and exciting album. Hold Your Fire: the pinnacle of synth Rush. Almost perfect with Tai Shan being the exception. Love the drum set Neil used for this one too. Great song writing and synth melodies. Presto: back to a more rocky sound. This album blasts out of the speakers with energy and also includes some unique song-writing. Very good job by all three guys. Only complaint is the tinny production which could use some more balls.
