  1. I don't think Rush will make another album. Neil is done after August 1. But I'm pretty sure we will see a Geddy solo album sometime in the coming years.
  2. I told one of my friends about Rush about a year and a half ago and played her 2112 Overture/Temples of Syrinx
  3. Deep Purple - Come taste the band (my favourite album by any band ever) Deep Purple - The Battle Rages On Black Sabbath - Cross Purposes (My favourite Sabbath album)
  4. Permanent Waves, Moving Pictures and Clockwork Angels
  5. I saw Alice Cooper this friday (July 3rd). I've been a fan of Alice for a long time and this was the first time I saw him in concert. It was f***ing amazing!!! In fact one of the best concerts I've seen :haz: :haz: :haz:
  6. Dream Theater is currently on tour in Europe so far having played shows in Belarus and Poland. The set list has been the same for both gigs and they're playing one song from each album. Below is the setlist from the opening night in Belarus. http://www.setlist.fm/setlist/dream-theater/2015/palace-of-sports-minsk-belarus-53c96b61.html
  7. I hope we get another great album. they're on a roll with the past 2. I thank Mangini for the re-newed energy. Mick I hope it will be an album that features good melodic prog metal just like the previous two they've done with Mangini behind the kit. I agree that Mangini truly has re-newed the energy in the band, especially since their last two albums with Portnoy are too hard rocking for my taste. When I listen Systematic Chaos and Black Clouds, what I hear is a band that says "we're gonna write as hard rocking songs as just possible, no one will ever be able to rock harder than this bla bla bla" But anyway, I'm truly looking forward to their new album! To be fair the whole band wasn't saying then.........just Portnoy. Did i mention i'm so happy he's gone, lol Mick True that. When Mangini became their new drummer, they finally became a democracy.

  9. Dream Theater is currently rehearsing for their upcoming summer tour of Europe which starts in Minsk, Belarus on June 25. Here's a photo of Jordan Rudess and Mike Mangini in rehearsals! It's gonna be very exciting to see what songs they play on tour! https://www.facebook...?type=1 Also, I expect that we will in the coming 2-4 weeks have detailed info about DT's upcoming new album which they started recording in February. According to James LaBrie they will start touring the album in January 2016. That tour will see my first DT concert.
  10. :rush: has been very important to me. Some of you might know that I am a drummer and has been since the age of 12 (I'm now 18 but turn 19 in October). Since I started listening to Rush (which I did in late 2012) I feel that I have improved like never before on my instrument, so they have been quite important to me because they have helped me improve as a musician! Long live :rush:
  11. In my time of Dying and Achilles last stand by Led Zeppelin
  12. That would be really cool.
  13. I hope they will hire David Bottrill (who produced Vapor Trails remixed and the T4E footage on the R40 box set) to mix/produce the DVD. I'd also like to say that I think it is fantastic that they have recorded a show every tour since their come back onto film, so that people who aren't able to attend a show in person gets to see the tour as well. Personally I've only seen them on the Clockwork Angels tour, so I'm glad they have recorded a show every tour for a DVD release!
  14. http://www.rush.com/rush-to-film-r40-live-tour-in-yyz/ This has been rumoured for some time but now it's been officially confirmed that the band will film the two Toronto shows on June 17th and 19th!
  15. Power Windows: Middletown Dreams Hold your Fire: Prime Mover Presto: Scars Test for Echo: Test for Echo
  16. The Beatles Deep Purple Black Sabbath :rush: Dream Theater
  17. Heard Like a rare and precious metal beneath the telegraph Actual: Like a rare and precious metal beneath a ton of rock
  18. Which book? I've read them all so it's hard to tell. I just remember the comment. Ok
  19. Heard Monday warrior Right on to the fridge the other day Actual: Modern day warrior Right to the friction of the day
  20. I discovered Rush when I was 16 years old in late 2012. Two classmates of mine recommended me to start listening to Rush and so they played me The Spirit of Radio. I thought the song was great and I was especially impressed by Neil's fantastic drumming, so I decided to start listening to the band. At the time I discovered them they had just been announced as the headliners of the Sweden Rock Festival 2013 which takes place the first week of June every year. I went there to see them along with my older brother, who also is a Rush fan, and the band put on an amazing show. The concert is without a doubt one of the three best concerts I've ever seen.
