  5. QUOTE (Cygnus @ Jun 5 2006, 07:01 AM) This is for all of you Bass fishermen and their wives. Dear Dr.Phil When I retired, I could hardly wait to spend time enjoying my favorite pastime -- bass fishing. I got my own little fishing boat and tried to get my wife to join me, but she just never liked fishing Finally, one day at the Bait & Tackle Shop, I got to talking to Sam the shop owner who it turned out loves bass fishing as much as I do. We quickly became fishing buddies. As I said the wife doesn't care about fishing. She not only refuses to join us she always complains that I spend too much time fishing. A few weeks ago Sam and I had the best fishing trip ever. Not only did I catch the most beautiful bass you've ever seen, only a few minutes later Sam must have caught his twin brother! So I took a picture of Sam holding up the two nice bass that we caught and showed the picture to the wife hoping that maybe she'd get interested. Instead she says she doesn't want me to go fishing at all anymore! And she wants me to sell the boat! I think she just doesn't like to see me enjoying myself. What would you do? Tell the wife to forget it and continue my hobby or quit fishing and sell the boat as she insists? Thanks, PS Enclosed is a picture of Sam with the two bass we caught http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v703/RushForum/bass.jpg Dear Fisherman, Get rid of that narrow minded wife. That's a nice pair of bass! DR Phil UMMM......someone help me here... I'm not seeing the fish, there are supposed to be fish in the pic somewhere???

  8. Hijacking my on thread here but... If there was ever a case to be made for attempting remakes of classic shows, the new BSG is it!!! That has taken all the best and made it better. I've been dying to catch the original mini-series on Sci-Fi.
  9. This occurred to me while posting in the SW thread. I was disappointed but intrigued about Season One. The premiere was awesome IMHO bu the rest of the season seemed kinda flat and predicatble at times. Season Two seemed to be going in the right direction and got more and more interesting. I kinda lost track of Season Three. I had just moved and my schedule kinda interfered and I got sloppy with the VCR. I still dont think I saw the season premiere about the Xindi (sp??) attack. I think the best thing about Season 4 so far has been this last episode with the Evil Universe. Didnt think it was going to be that good and cant wait for the next one. I think they could do an entire Season 5 outta the Evil Universe!!!! Any other thoughts?? Favorite episodes?? Characters?? or am I
  10. I think the novels (dark force trilogy etc) did a lot to kill any idea for movies 7-8-9. The only thing I can see for future movies would have to be with Jacen, Jaina and Anakin and Mara and Lukes kids (do they have any havent got that far with the novels). I would eagerly watch a TV series. How could it suck that bad? After the last Trek series, I think that franchise is going to be down for a while. I enjoyed it and will miss it but it wasnt the greatest thing to come out of Paramount.

  12. Didnt know ANY of this. Thats an awesome article. Im sure we all know of Neil's fascination with a certain single malt but this is new info to me.
  13. Yeah the premise was more than a little out there, but ahh its a movie and it made for good entertainment. I thought they did a decent job explaining the other physique type changes (got a kick out of the tummy tuck and the look on Archer's face!!) and the limitations eg blood type. My favorite scenes must be the leap off the oil rig and the "face off" b/e Archer and Troy with the mirror in the middle!
  14. QUOTE (Arndrake @ Apr 19 2005, 04:18 AM) The Borg have always been one of the most popular villains in the ST Universe. Knowing this, that was probably why the story line of Voyager took them into the Delta Quadrant. The writers knew that they could do many stories involving the Borg as Voyager traversed the quadrant to try and get home. Unfortunately, though I didn't actually see it, I have heard the Voyager finale was anti-climactic because the writers just sort of got lazy and played the "visitor from the future" and the "poof, you're home" cards. Yeah, the Voyager finale didnt do much for me either. They did some pretty wacky things plotwise (beaming the Doc thru the Hirojan (sp??) comm sys, the "long distance" phone calls towards the end) , I really thought they could have done better. I would have liked seeing the "voyage" not end, get them much closer but not really home yet. Oh well
  15. Mine is the monolouge towards the end of Castaway by Tom Hanks in his friends den. Kills me. Tho that Liv Tyler scene in Armageddon has to be a damn close second
  16. Again may be a very minority opinion here BUT I love what they did with the Borg in Voyager. I was quite a fan of that series and that was before Jeri Ryan!!!
  17. QUOTE (1-0-0-1-0-0-1 @ Feb 7 2005, 10:38 PM) This is easily the best drama on TV right now. Don't even argue with me. The production value and plotting rivals many feature films. If you're not watching this show, have your head examined. Discuss episodes, but if you tape the episodes and watch them later, you might want to avoid this thread until you've watched them. Just startd watching it this season, so I'm a little behind on some of the subplots but JC!!! This show has just blown me away. It twists and turns and explodes and jumps and DAMNNN!!! I gotta get the first two seasons on DVD or something if this wasnt the best one.
