  1. Lessons is the worst huh? Talk about a great album...smh
  2. Sorry to hear. I have as most people parted with animals naturally and by having to put them down. I lost my cat of 17 years a few months ago of apparently natural causes. She showed no signs of any issues and I found her passed when I woke up one morning. It was sad but I felt better about it than some of my past experiences with months of suffering etc. It's never easy...
  3. Lol. This is the way I prefer to remember his voice and one of the things that drew me to the band in the first place. This album was the first Rush I ever heard. A baseball friend of mine was playing it on his car 8 track coming home from a game we just played circa 1976. I purchased All The World's A Stage on vinyl not long after and was hooked. Great memories indeed...
  4. I remember it like it was yesterday. My brother and I were working on a brick laying crew in the dead of a Maryland winter when I heard the news on the radio. I was fortunate however to see them in all their glory the previous October with Pat Travers Band opening. I will never forget that show. I saw them twice after that but it was never the same....RIP
  5. Narps

    Oscars 2020

I wouldn't watch it at gunpoint...
  6. Jeannie for me but to be honest as a young adolescent at the time I preferred her evil sister lol. Also for the record Mary Ann as well...
  7. Looking forward to this one. I have watched all of their Rush reviews and quite a few others. Boston really blew them away. Appreciate the post. I have been looking out for them to post something...
  8. At first I thought it was gonna be all Rich Lowry lol. Makes sense the guy is from Hillsdale College though if you think about it. It appears to be a long listen. I'll have to listen to it all over time. Nice to hear the debut get some love...
  9. I would toss Power Windows and slide ATWAS in there for good measure. The best Rush years by far. It's interesting looking back on those years and Grace Under Pressure was the last Rush album I bought. They were losing me as many bands lost me in the 80's...
  10. No expert here but I would go with the Hellcat. From a practical point of view its much roomier and much cooler in my view. I am a bit bias because I have always said when I see one "when I grow up I'll have one of those" lol. Just my two cents..
  11. Yep, at least for me anyway and this will never change...
  12. If he got a nose job he should ask for his money back...
  13. In the thread Geddy: 'There Are Zero Plans To Tour Again' there is a link to a pic on Facebook of the three of them in October 2018: Seems we only had to wait til Friday to find out... https://m.facebook.c...&type=3 That isn't the pic I was talking about but thanks...
  14. I'm not sure where the thread is but somewhere around here there is a thread in the past year or so with a pic of Neil. I remember commenting on that thread that he looked ill. Very thin and frail and not in a way that someone just changed their diet and has lost some weight. I honestly hadn't thought about that thread until this past week. My point is that hearing of his passing didn't "shock" me. Deaths like these to be honest only serve to question my own mortality as I will be 60 later this year God willing...
  15. This situation takes privacy to a whole new level. In these times three and half years and then three days on top of that. Amazing and commendable to be honest...
  16. I will be on top of it every day and night. I have great sources too. Much appreciated. I wouldn't watch it at gunpoint... Sorry Narps. I was confused. I thought you were interested about a public memorial for Neil or a tribute concert for him. Oh no. I meant the Grammys I wouldn't watch. A tribute to Neal would be great...
  17. The entire world is mourning the loss of Neil. It breaks my heart, yet the outpouring of love will heal my heart and make it stronger. I want to play my drums at least into my 80's! :) If I'm like my dad when I'm 82 it will be a piece of cake! That's a beautiful thing. My dad is 86 and still singing in front of people and really well too. Not easy for someone who been doing it all his life. Drumming seems quite the physical endeavor to be doing at that age. Kudos to your dad...
  18. I will be on top of it every day and night. I have great sources too. Much appreciated. I wouldn't watch it at gunpoint...
  19. Not sure if anyone mentioned it but I did here Tom Sawyer going to commercial during the Niners/Vikings game today. No accident I'm guessing...
  20. I'm not shocked to be honest just saddened. Rush has been a huge part of my life since 76' and they have given me so much pleasure. I knew deep down that night in Atlanta 2015 would be the last time. RIP and thanks....
  21. Actually I showed it to Dad and he corrected me and said he found it at Goodwill a couple years ago, if that helps at all. The record I have is Amerika. I really enjoyed it! Very energetic and very snappy, but the lyrics never let up. Also read through the liner notes if you get the chance, there are some hilarious little inserts in there. I feel old because I actually bought it new was my point lol. I am guessing 77' or 78'...
  22. The fact they were in your parents old records hurts a bit lol...
  23. I googled it because I can't get to my album collection right now. I am pretty positive I have Life In The Foodchain and America. Flash And The Pan was another I bought back in the day. The reason I did was because they were a Vanda and Young project which tied them to AC/DC in some way. It was nothing like AC/DC but talk about weird but interesting music. It was to me then anyway...
  24. Believe it or not I have one or two Tonio K albums I bought back in the 70's. I had bands of course that I bought albums that were known commodities but I often bought albums just because I thought it might be good or different. This was one of those occasions. Appreciate the blast from the past. Kudos...
