According to the bands site, Exit… Stage Left, the band’s second live album, was recorded at The Apollo in Glasgow, Scotland on June 10th & 11th, 1980 and at The Forum in Montreal, Quebec in March 27th, 1981 Yeah, I know what they state as the sources but in this recent thread, I speculated it may not be 100% so http://www.therushfo...for-lvs-on-esl/ Interesting that the boots are hard to find for these songs.

http://www.digitalrushexperience.com/database/review.php?RecordingID=1024 Looks like this is the only boot of the dates used of the album.

I agree with Grace Under Pressure right there with it. Your signature is getting ridiculous. :rage:

Are there any audience recordings of the shows-6-10, 11 1980 and 3-27-1981 in existence so one could compare the real recording with the later 'polished' version that showed up on the album?

How late were they? The venue I am going to has notoriously long security lines-hours-so I am worried I will miss the beginning.
-
Since there is no opening act, are they starting on time for this tour?

Why give those sacks of shite any attention?

It's the F*cking Catalina Wine Mixer!

No need to buy this. Upscaling is pretty much worthless. Just play the standard dvd in your blu-ray player and it will upscale it.

What do you care what it matters?

Was everyone standing the whole time?

Too much. They should allow individual shows to be purchased. Metallica has done this and it's great. I bought the concert I went to and I bought my sis-in law the show she went to years before and gave it as a present. She loved it!

$50 is just a gouge. It's insane. Although this shirt is bad ass! http://www.rushbackstage.com/images/products/RU/R4/RUR4MTESTR036_000.jpg?preset=details

Rush could give two shits about what label they fit into and I concur. It's irrelevant. Their music transcend genres.

What's is the heaviest Rush song? Something For Nothing is up there for me. Tempo and heavy shredding.
-
OUCH! That hurts.

Vinyl is not just about it's sonic qualities. It's about the experience. Getting up, putting it on, looking at the artwork, liner notes. Not being able to jump tracks easily. It really supports listening to an entire album as an event. For that I support it's resurgence.

Oh boy. Those are horrible! Get the original CD's. Much better than the 97 botch job.

Order 3 of each. Return other 2. Hopefully one will be good.

Rolling Stone Magazine. Is it about time to be on front??
Rockosmith replied to robertrobyn's topic in Rush
Rolling Stone is a steaming pile of dung that has lost all credibility years ago. It's garbage. -
Are you guys serious? You call yourself fans? http://www.rush.com/12-months-of-rush-14-albums-from-mercury-era-for-release-in-2015/

In the End. Love this song. Really hits me emotionally in a good way.

Bought Exit...Stage Left on cassette in 1987 in prepareing for a 2 week family vacation from hell. Had heard Tom Sawyer on the radio a bunch and I always liked live albums. Stuck in a VW Van and traveling over 2K miles I played that tape non-stop. First stop I could I bought Hemispheres on cassette at K-Mart. $4.99. Listening to Hemispheres was like an out of body experience for a 14 year old. Hooked ever since.
