Is it worth watching? It's not getting high praise in Denmark.

It's decent enough. Far from the worst thing I've seen this summer, if that's any recommendation.

If Dunkirk is a 10 how would you rate it? :D

    6. Tolerable, and much better than 90% of the garbage put forth this year.

    That's good enough for me.

Didn't think there was much to this film, but when it turned up on Netflix I gave it a shot and was surprised of the aftermath for the pilots.

I keep meaning to watch it. Glad to hear that it is interesting!

I have looked at this several times to watch but never have. Seemed like it would be boring. Glad to hear that it's not.

I think a part of that is Clint Eastwood's directing. He keeps the running length to an hour and a half. Any longer and it wouldn't stick together.

  3.

    "How soon can we land?"

    "I can't tell."

"You can tell me, I'm a doctor."

"No, I mean I'm just not sure."

    "Can't you take a guess?"

    "Not for another 2 hours."

"You can't take a guess for the next 2 hours?"

I love dry humor like that

  4. I hope all you tall guys didn't hog the front row at Rush concerts, because that would be mean ;)

I sometimes get self-conscious about my height when I'm at a gig, but most of the times if I'm standing in front of very short people, I let them stand in front of me. That's usually females. The guys can see just fine. Happens almost every gig I'm at.

When I was in Amsterdam with my mother and brother seeing Rush, a group of 3 men were standing in front of us. My brother is roughly the same height as I so we could see just fine, but my mother isn't near that high, so when then the 3 men noticed she was having difficult seeing, they rearranged so that my mother could see. They didn't have to since it was general admission on the floor, but they showed great courtesy.

  5. I have shown my appreciation by buying their records and DVDs. I would perhaps have done it regarding a gig if the price wasn't too steep, but the chance encounter would mean a lot more. But in all honesty I leave celebrities to themselves whenever I see them.

  6. I worked with a woman from Trinidad in the seventies who used to invite me over for ratatouille. It was so good.

She had a beautiful apartment on East 72nd Street. It must cost a fortune to live there today.

Weren't a lot of apartments in the 70s rent controlled?

  7. Portobello burgers with fried kale, radicchio leaves, beef patty with onions, mustard, jalapenos and one egg, topped with a poached egg on one of them. Oh and I made this most delicious lemon-mint creme for it. No bread - that's what the portobellos are for.

And then I had this for dessert (not the whole cake, just a slice). It's a banana-chocolate cake covered in chocolate and powdered sugar along with homemade praline.

  8. Going to the library and borrow some cook books. I'm tired of having a bloated stomach so I'll see if I can start eating more healthy. After that I will make a plan over what I'm going to eat next week, and do the grocery shopping.

I'm also going to bake a banana-chocolate cake, but after that I'm going to be more healthy. Until the next cake.

    And clean my room.

    Are you a beer drinker?

    Yes, I must admit.
