  5. Cheers Curly . The Hemispheres program . http://i185.photobucket.com/albums/x117/coxy2112/2014-01-26142033_zpsc8a67449.jpg
  6. Jeez , had me for a minute . I`m just hopin I get to see out the last tour . I can`t imagine when I`m in an Old people`s home having a carer helping me on with my tight Rush T.Shirt and wheeling me to the Manchester Arena . Would they put up with a Rush week on my I Pod after the gig ? .
  7. I`ve been in the dungeon . http://i185.photobucket.com/albums/x117/coxy2112/2a864633-57da-4351-a550-c12db06ef057_zps7156b68f.jpg http://i185.photobucket.com/albums/x117/coxy2112/5b014e14-ef40-44d5-a1b9-7c89daa0e38b_zps60841f88.jpg
  8. I still have the pamflet with the Max Webster sampler "vinyl" they gave out on that tour. (least I think it was that tour) God yeh , I remember it ! This was the only time I remember seeing Webster with Rush . It was the Tyler Gang on the Farewell Tour ( my first ) They made a big impression on me when I saw them , and I seeked out their albums and of course how good was Battlescar at the first hearing .
  9. They are a great band . I bought a few of their albums and I have a 7 inch Pic Disc of Paradise Skies somewhere in my dungeon I saw them with Rush on the Hemispheres Tour 1979 .
  10. My first one was Hold Your Fire . I`m pretty sure it was the first , I have bought all the Rush albums as they`ve come out so I know its not Presto
  11. Easy . It came out in the 80`s . Everything I loved in music was destroyed in one swoop thanks to a Calender date . 80 . Not only E.L.O. suffered . John Lennon The Who , Floyd , Yes , McCartney , Sabbath , Purple , Supertramp , Neil Young , Joni , Fleetwood Mac , Dylan (well maybe he was in decline from 67 ) etc etc etc In short the album is crap compared to the brilliant albums E.L.O. released in the 70`s . The 80`s for me was like I just been dropped on the Planet Music Hell , where people started cutting their hair (even Rush!) , wearing tank tops , listening to Phill Collins dance songs . Margret Thatcher ruled our Country and Keyboards and Video`s became the essentail part of every god damn song that came out . I hated the 80`s Everything about it . Once we got out of that decade things started getting back to normal . This album (Time ) is proof of everything I`ve said above is fact . I hope this helped .
  12. Steve Hillage, Old http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SyrxtVnc-28 And New .
  13. Not forgetting Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds
  14. Me too And me . ( I saw the light in 1978) Best band ever debates . They are a nightmare and I do think The Beatles are the ultimate , but I was just a bit to young to live the experience . But from 1978 to 1982 Rush were the best band ever . Zep, Floyd , Yes , The Who, Stones , Tull, were in decline then . :finbar:
  15. The thing is with The Beatles they changed with each album and thats the beauty of them . Sgt. Pepper two me is the perfect album out of them all . Which is just my opinion , as to most people it`s Revolver , Abbey Rd . etc . The most debated debate in history of Pop Music I guess . Talkin of overated albums ! I can`t get my head around Pet Sounds being up their with the greatest albums . Apart from to songs I think the rest of it is short boring songs . I should know I have it . Sorry . Again with Love . I don`t like that either .
  16. I would be interested in why you think Sgt. Pepper is overated Segue ?
  17. Why doesn't Sgt. Pepper have Strawberry Fields Forever or Penny Lane? Why doesn't Revolver have Rain or Paperback Writer? Why doesn't the White Album have Hey Jude? I still don't know! Sgt Pepper's lack of Strawberry / Penny is what pushes Magical Mystery tour up above it. I can help . The Beatles always prided themselves of not ripping of fans by putting singles on albums . Sgt. Pepper for me the greatest album ever , took more time than usual to record than the last Beatle albums and E.M.I. were getting a bit nervy and asked the Fab Four for a single . At the time The Beatles had two songs ready for their new album Pepper . Strawberry and Penny Lane . So on the 17th of Feb 1967(My 5th Birthday !) they released one of the finest singles ever to grace the charts. Magical Mystery Tour was an E.P. Hey Jude . Single . so no chance of it appearing on any official album . Let It Be was never meant to be released at the time . They released Get Back / Dont Let Me Down in April 1969 . By time Let It Be came out in 1970 The Beatles had split up You get the roof top Get Back version on the album , so still no Single on an album . Finally in 2003 Don`t Let Me Down was put on Let It Be Naked . ( All different versions ) (Well Naked, no Spector production ) Simple . The albums then as now are all masterpieces and are not going to be messed about . Why would you want too . ;) A bit of Trivia . There is one Single track that did appear on a official Beatle album . Yellow Submarine . But the album was a Soundtrack Track to .. Yellow Submarine . The Beatles didn`t really think of it as a proper Beatle album and only recorded "New " songs once they had seen the dailies of Submarine and saw how good it was . All songs that didn`t appear on The Beatle albums can be found on two brilliant albums Past Masters Vol 1 and Vol 2. Past Masters Vol 2 is the best Comp album ever made I.M.O. Hope that helps . ;)
  18. Riddick - Great Sci Fi romp . On the same plain as the first film . The Purge - Not Bad . Hours - Not a bad film either . My first Paul Wakler film .

  21. Or maybe ones have and the new releases pale in comparison to a golden oldie reissue. I have heard many albums from this year, and yet none are truly as good as the Fleetwood Mac Rumours reissue bonus discs with alternate tracks and demo recordings. If ones feel a reissue or remix is an album of the year, then perhaps that is because nothing of the last twelve months did anything for them. Only about five albums pleased me this year. One is a remix, the other a reissue. I haven't enjoyed 2013 that much at all this year. Bu a host of discoveries have made this a great Year: the missing Rush albums, Massive Attack, Jeff Wayne...Stevie Nicks...if I made a top ten of the best albums new to me this year, only two would make the grade! I see what you mean , but when it comes to the best album of 2013 , it should be an album of 2013 so how poor the year has been . Best Reissues of 2013 . Whithout doubt Rumours .
  22. I nearly pissed my self when I saw this . http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XERztVh-6y4
  23. I don`t want to sound like an old stick in the mud . :eyeroll: But . Having a reissue as you fav album of the year is a bit sad. Your not giving the oppertunity to up and coming bands and hell even your old fav bands that are still producing new stuff . :finbar:
  24. It`s a tie . Raven , All Hell Breaks Loose, The Theory Of Everything . One I`ve not heard but I bet It`s a cracker . Twenty Seven Club . Magneta .
  25. I`m towards the end of season 3 . It`s my second time around . :D-13:
