  1. I was just chillin' on the internet and found a page called "How to be a Rush fan", and one of the steps to become one (or so the guy who made the page said) was to make an account on 'The Rush Forum'. Then I was like "Shit, I need to do that". So hear I am one year later.
  2. I remember me an my family took a vacation to Yellowstone National Park and came across a herd of buffalo while in traffic. I then looked out the window only to see one buffalo sniffing another buffalo's ass and then looked at me in the van with the creepiest face. The funny thing is, the buffalo did it twice.
  3. You can raise objections, I won't be the judge. Sweet Jamaican pipe dreams, golden Acapulco nights.
  4. Welcome...and yeah. it's cool when it happens. Flying from Dallas to Madrid this summer it was mealtime and the flight attendant leans in with my food...Lo and behold he's wearing a RUSH lanyard to hold his ID. Turned out he was a huge fan and had just caught them at back to back shows. I was actually in Madrid and the rest of the Mediterranean coast over the summer, and it was Bastille Day when I was in France. I remember the first thing I did after I woke up was listen to CoS. Too bad nobody in France has the slightest clue what Rush is.
  5. Hey I know this topic is kinda dead, but I just want to introduce myself here. I've been on TRF for about 6 months, but actually recently started going on it daily. My picture kinda gives it away, but I'm a brony. Don't worry everbody else, I'm still a true Rush fan at heart, just happens that my third favorite thing is MLP.
  6. I basically love everything about Rush. I don't know why, but I just never see a problem with their music. One thing that I kinda don't like is all the lyrics about Atheism like 'Freewill' or 'BU2B'.
  7. This was a question for the survey on the Rush Fan Stories website. I just thought if anyone else experience any Rush sightings when you are not listening to their music or at their concerts. Sometimes at school when I wear a Rush shirt, there's always someone who comments on it and demands a high-five. I go to a small school that contains only a few hundred people, so it's kinda a big deal. I also hear plenty of Rush songs on the radio. And I'm not talking about songs like Tom Sawyer or Closer to the Heart, I'm talking about songs like New World Man and Distant Early Warning. If you have any experiences like these, share them. I'm always interested in this kinda stuff.
  8. I think everyone is missing something... RUSH!!!
  9. Just watched this movie last night. It's one of my all-time favorites. The story may seem a little dull, but the acting is outstanding. I truly love the idea of "fighting until your last breath" the movie portrays. My most favorite part of the movie is the music. I mean, it's not as good as Rush, but it's still breathtaking. http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8165/7237467700_6ba0aee915_c.jpg
  10. When I was 4, I had the same reoccurring dream every night for almost an entire year. The dream was about my mom and I loosing a race against my brother, and because of it, we got killed by a ghost. The last time I had the dream, I won the race.
  11. Well, they did play much better songs than BU2B, at least in my opinion. I really wanted them to play something from Test for Echo or Fly by Night, but they sadly didn't play that either.
  12. This is a tough one for me seeing that this is on my top 5 favorite Rush albums, but I had to choose Mission. Just the lyrics just make you 'fire your imagination', and the instrumentation for this song is one of their best sounding and creative. Plus there's the xylophone.
  13. 1) Out of the Cradle - Vapor Trails 2) Limbo - Test for Echo 3) Cold Fire - Counterparts 4) The Enemy Within - Grace Under Pressure 5) Second Nature - Hold Your Fire 6) Available Light - Presto 7) Between Sun and Moon - Counterparts 8) Making Memories - Fly by Night 9) Lock and Key - Hold your Fire 10) Hand Over Fist - Presto
  14. I bought three vinyls at some trashy flea market Hemispheres - $10 2112 - $2 Moving Pictures - $4
