  1. Yeah, Xanadu live just blows me away every time - I have to go with that! Xanadu!
  2. Cool, vinyl! As you can see by my name, I may have a record or two kicking around the house! ;) Still looking for that mint copy of 2112, but I have everything else stored nicely in my collection. I listen to my records constantly, so I tend to go through copies of records as the years go by. Lately, Power Windows is in high rotation my my decks (Two Technics 1200 MK3D). The production on PW is STILL impressive to me, all these years later; sounds amazing on vinyl!! :)
  3. The Camera Eye is a seminal achievement. As good as the rest of MP is, this takes the cake.
  4. I feel like the lyrics are even more relevant today than they were 30 years ago...
  5. I had trouble choosing a track on Signals, but ultimately went with The Analog Kid; it's just such a brilliant piece of music. I don't recall which tour it was, but I remember being blown away by how tight they were on the tempo change into the chorus. Also, the guitar solo is probably the best on the record. A great Alex moment!
  6. To me, P/G is THE record. Not only my favorite Rush record, but one of my favorite records, period. I can't find a weak moment on it, and I still listen to it almost every day. The funny thing is, I HATED this record when i first got it in the 80s while I was in high school. What was I thinking?? The best track on the record is Between the Wheels, but I can make an argument for Afterimage and The Enemy Within, as well. The guitar work on Afterimage is brilliant, groundbreaking, and was completely unique at the time. The solo is ridiculous, and the lyrical content is some of the most hard hitting Neil has done. However, I think Between the Wheels tops it. Something about the immensity of the track just blows me away every time I hear it. The live version on R30 somehow raises the stakes, and to this day is one of my favorite live Rush performances. The rest of the record is sick, as well. Red Sector A is another one that live, is just riveting to experience. I love this record!
  7. P/G is my favorite record, but PW is JUST behind it. If you ask me tomorrow, this could be reversed. :D Marathon brought me to tears the first time I saw Rush live (HyF tour), and has forever been one of my favorite Rush tunes, so Marathon it is. New to the forums! Hi! :)
