Eletric Ladyland. So many great tunes. -
Raining most of the morning, and still is. We've been needing it, but it kept me from taking Rocky on his usual Sunday morning trip to the dog park, so he's in a down mood.

The Gris-Gris Man is no longer with us. I remember WABX in Detroit getting hard into "Gris-Gris", his breakthrough album. The title song and "I Walk On Gilded Splinters" was played a lot on the station. And his performance of "Such A Night" in "The Last Waltz." RIP, my ass. He's probably stomping around New Orleans arm in arm with Queen Marie Laveau at this moment. Stomp on, John!

From my friend John, a musician and electronics buff: "I'd like to do an old Chinese melody called Tu Ning." " Did you hear, the Energizer Bunny died. Seems he got his polarity reversed and he kept coming and coming and coming. "

From Doing Justice, by Preet Bharara (former Manhattan District US Attorney), on the steps taken regarding the Internet viewings of a Federal defendant accused of, among other things, cannibalism: "And he reviewed recipes for human flesh...(yes, they exist on the Internet, not all of which recommend fava beans and Chianti as accompaniments.)"

That would be the shit. Les has a talent for drawing musicians to him and putting out some incredible music. The Bernies Bucket of Brains mp3 gets some major playing time in my car.
