  9. Were you in a canoe? :D No I was on the bank. Heres what happened - It was about 11 PM, I hooked a big one, about 4-5 lb bass. Yelled for a buddy to give me a hand. I caught him on a shallow crank bait with 2 treble hooks, so I kinda scooped him up on the bank by its belly instead of lipping em to avoid getting nailed by the treble hooks. So I got it on the bank, as it was flopping, it broke the line, and the crankbait was still in its mouth (this lure was red hot, and the only one I had). Fish started flopping, and landed back in the water. My buddy had his IPhone on, I saw the fish laying on its side just a few inches below the surface of the water. I knew that any moment the fish would kinda wake up and bolt, so I bent down in the water to grab to try and scoop the fish up. I put one hand in the water to try and touch the bottom, but I didnt realize how deep it was, and since it was deeper than I thought, nothing to brace myself, I rolled right in. The only redeeming part of the story - a few minutes later, the fish jumped a couple times trying to throw the lure. The fish succeeded! So later I swam out and picked up the crankbait and retied it on my rod (luckily crankbaits float) Thats what you get for using treble hooks. :P I despise treble hooks. I only used them on crankbaits and some topwater lures because thats how the come. I lose so many more fish on treble hooks than single hooks its not even funny

  11. I pulled a Bill Dance on Friday night fishing. I reached down to land a big one, and I somersaulted into the lake
  12. I had forgot but remember the film was originally to be called Revenge of the Jedi. How does that play into the meaning? Discuss. The Jedi took "revenge" against the Empire by killing Darth Vader. But since Jedi are supposed to be above the idea of revenge, and instead only work for good, the name of the movie was changed to reflect this. Also, I am apparently a big nerd. You mean the emperor... they didn't kill DV, they converted him Yes, the Jedi Order "returned" when the Emperor was killed (also with Vader returning to the Good Side), thereby destroying the Sith. What always interested me about Jedi philosophy in these episodes is how unflexible the Jedi were in dealing with the Sith. Yoda and Obi-Wan never even considered trying to "save" Vader. Their only solution was to kill him.....even when he first turned to the Dark Side in his youth. Ironically, Palpatine was right about the Jedi in a way. The Jedi and the Sith were indeed alike in some aspects. Both thought in absolutes...... Don't they only say that Vader must be destroyed? That's not the same as killing Darth Vader. A return of Anakin from the dark side effectively destroys Vader. http://www.coetail.com/erussell/files/2013/03/geekometer.png In Revenge of The Sith, Obi-Wan saw Anakin as a lost cause. At the beginning of their epic battle, he drew his light saber and said, "I will do what I must"..... In Return of The Jedi, Obi-Wan still saw Anakin/Vader as a lost cause..... Obi-Wan: Your father was seduced by the Dark Side of the Force. He ceased to be Anakin Skywalker and became Darth Vader. When that happened, the good man who was your father was destroyed. Luke: There is still good in him. Obi-Wan: He is more machine now than man. Twisted and evil. Luke: I can't do it, Ben. Obi-Wan: You cannot escape your destiny. You must face Vader again. Luke: I can't kill my own father. Obi-Wan: Then the Emperor has already won. You were our only hope. Yet he does not say that Luke must kill him, only face him. Remember Ben is less than transparent with Luke, manipulative, even. You're right, but in all the Star Wars films, the Jedi's philosophy and actions have shown that their "solution" to the Sith is to kill them. Dooku, Maul, Palpatine, even Anakin Skywalker. The kill order is always implied, not spoken outright. That is why I think the Jedi and Sith are more alike as the Jedi say, as Palpatine argued. In the original trilogy, do Obi Wan or Yoda even once say that Vader or the emporer needs to be killed? Does Obi Wan try and kill Vader in a New Hope?
  13. My 6 year old son was asking me questions about Star Wars. In trying to provide an explantation to his questions, I realized I didnt know the answer to this question. I guess my assumption was that the "Jedi" referred to in the title was Luke Skywalker, returning after getting his butt kicked by Darth Vader in ESB. However, could the Jedi be Darth Vader, who had a change of heart and went from being a Sith to a Jedi? Or could it be the return of the Jedi movement or whatever you want to refer to it? Im sure others have thought about this, what do yall think?

    Clockwork Angels

I consider The Wreckers one of the real stinkaroos. That and Wish Them Well. P.U. Just my opinion of course. Enjoy... The Wreckers does absolutely nothing for me. There are some Rush tracks I care much less for than the average guy, but I cant figure out why people love this song
  15. Dont care where, I just hope it sounds better than R40 or TMT
  16. Bob Sacamano from Seinfeld. I cant find any pictures of him.
