  1. haha no way!!! thats awesome! I was squished between two dudes, but i was directly in front of the speaker and Geddy's mic stand! I was row A seat 2! how about you? row A seat 7  thats so awesome!!! I do remember seeing a woman with black hair and a woman with blonde hair on the front row! i wasn't looking around too much.. haha. I was probably the youngest one on that whole row, all geeked out with all my rush stuff :P

  3. Front row @ MGM Grand in Las Vegas! http://i.imgur.com/i3FzPQb.jpg

  5. I definitely agree with this. I've never been to a meet and greet, but I had front row seats at Vegas, directly in front of Geddy, and I'd say 3 hours of staring at him is way better haha. I was doing what every hardcore rush fan would do im sure, and Alex came over and sorta leaned over and he looked at me and smiled, and I started screaming and he looked back over and winked. Geddy looked at me a lot, but he did one of his sweet bass riffs and he was grooving his head and then looked away, but those moments I believe are a whole lot better to experience. See, during the actual concert, you can scream and wiggle and fangirl and cry all you want, but at a M&G I'd probably awkwardly just stand there and cry and turn red. So, yes. front row kicks ass
  6. im so pissed because they filmed at the concert right after the one i had front seats at!!!!!!!!!! :'(
  7. My wife and I have seen them in Vegas 3 times. My impression was the same as yours. The crowd at the front were a bunch of comped gamblers and VIPs who didn't seem to be Rush fans (or at least, were no more than casual fans). Vegas is a city that repopulates itself every few days. A completely different dynamic than other cities. Having said that, if the go to Vegas this tour, we'll probably be there... right?? you are so spot on! ugh.. haha that makes me so disappointed. If they did come back to Vegas, I just don't know if it'll be worth going again because one thing I hate is being squished between drunk guys that record the whole show on their tiny flip phones that they wave in your face... but, I mean, its Rush! of course I'd want to go! I just... dont.... even know.. lol
  8. Seriously?!?!?!? ugh I wish I was there :'( It would've been so much more amazing with you there!!! I was squished between two old drunk guys that were like "yeah! uh... Tahm.. yeah- Swyarer... catch teh spit" it just wasn't really a fun environment..
  9. does anyone know if they're coming to Vegas? I got front row in November, and I was the only one on the front row that knew all the words and every beat and fill. As much as it doesn't sound right, Vegas isn't a fun crowd. So I have no idea if they're coming back around...
  10. wait, people actually voted for Dog Years?
  11. natural science isn't their most popular song, which is ok, cuz its kinda like a hidden gem... i always ignored this song till i was bored one day and listened to the whole thing and i was blown away!! Its not repetitive, and you can't really predict it, you know? thats why i love it! thats why i love rush! haha :haz:
  12. Excellent pic! :ebert: thanks! it was really fun to shoot that, even though it was only like 110 outside... in leather pants.... :P Where is that Arizona? In an aircraft graveyard? Is that a tail fin behind you? I wondered what that was in the background! :) Nice picture! :hi: haha yes, its a plane! its actually an old movie prop left behind from the movie '3000 Miles To Graceland'. Its way out in the desert of Nevada! Here's another picture of it :guitar: http://i.imgur.com/va2C2my.jpg I'd want you to play bass for me just based on these two pictures. If you are half as bad-ass on bass as you look, you'd be killer. Note to self: find a cool crashed airplane to serve as a backdrop! haha im not too shabby! If you gave me music, i'd learn it, if its not super complex lolol :P

    Lakeside Park

EDIT: So my mom surprised me and my dad with tickets to go to Canada, and see Rush play in Toronto! We went exploring all around to some of the cool places Rush sings about! Lakeside Park was definitely one of my favorites! So here's some pictures to go along with the great song! We also met fellow Rush fans there! It was really neat! LAKESIDE PARK http://i.imgur.com/T0SCd.jpg Midway hawkers calling "Try your luck with me." Merry-go-round wheezing same old melody. A thousand ten-cent wonders, who could ask for more. A pocketful of silver, the key to heaven's door. http://i.imgur.com/wMUFZ.jpg Lakeside Park, willows in the breeze. Lakeside Park, so many memories. Laughing rides, midway lights, Shining stars on summer nights. http://i.imgur.com/XR2aa.jpg Days of barefoot freedom, racing with the waves http://i.imgur.com/I4crJ.jpg Nights of starlit secrets, crackling driftwood flames http://i.imgur.com/cjB56.jpg Drinking by the lighthouse, smoking on the pier http://i.imgur.com/QrEMl.jpg Still, we saw the magic was fading every year http://i.imgur.com/XuUhs.jpg Everyone would gather on the twenty fourth of May, Sitting in the sand to watch the fireworks display. Dancing fires on the beach, singing songs together, Though it's just a memory, some memories last forever.
  17. At that rock orchestra camp, there were 2 groups, one for more beginners and one for more advanced players. And then there was i think 4 different combo groups, and one of the combo groups played Spirit Of Radio! I was super jealous! 2 Rush songs and I didn't get to play in either! But I did name their group! It was 'crackle with life' haha. and it was still fun to listen and rock out! :D I'm not in middle school anymore, but Mark Wood loves it here! When he comes back, I'm going to ask my old orchestra teacher if I can play with him again (I did violin for two years with him and one on guitar). Mark invited me to that Rock camp, said he needed guitarist how was it guitarist wise, by the way? He knows me here as the Rush kid and his son is a huge fan as well when he did his drum solo, I went up and told him I thought it was really Neil Peart influenced and he went on about how they saw them at MSG. Real nice guys, I look forward to playing with them again in a few months. :haz: whoa awesome!!!!! there were 3 guitarists there I think, including Mark's personal guitarist guy, Jon Bivona. It was really cool! After the final concert, I got my pic with Elijah and I told him he was such an amazing drummer and he's definitely the next Neil Peart, and he started laughing and said "hahaha aww thanks!!!!" Really nice family! haha. Are you going to mwroc this year? I'm not, no. I really like his shows here. He bought a house about 90 min from where I live, and mark just loves it here, enough so that we got the whole deal, him, his son, and at the last second, his wife too! You said you played in the show, right? he has a second house in New Mexico? I didn't know that! haha cool! Yep! I was playing the bass right next to Elijah! :P In Santa Fe, yeah. One of the kids moms was a realtor and found him a house here. Pretty cool stuff! The advanced hoedown part for guitar was always a blast to play too ;) sweet! I'm still trying to learn guitar :P but you should go to mwroc in '14! I'll be there with a bunch of other Rush fans!!
