  1. Eating peach skin/fuzz. I LOVE peaches but they need to be watered-down washed before I bite into one so the skin isn't as "harsh" on my teeth. Preferably, I like them peeled.
  2. I rotate my products a lot but right now: Shampoo/Conditioner: Finishing up some bath and body works stuff from Christmas. Rotating with Herbal Essences. Soap: body wash is B&BW Coconut at the moment. Face soap is Basis - my face is acne prone and this is the only soap gentle enough to not scrub or make me breakout. It just cleans. In times of breakouts, I follow with Burts Bees toner (all natural) Dove deoderant Suave salon-knock off hairspray Crest 3D whitening toothepaste.
  3. I used to love these! Lately, they have become not so funny, but the old classic ones. Brilliant!
  4. QUOTE (1 of the 7 @ Jul 26 2011, 09:43 PM) QUOTE (iluvgeddy05 @ Jul 26 2011, 03:37 PM) I got a new job! In my field! At a prestigious University! No really, I did. I'm very excied about the opportunity - and to leave my current position and way. too. long. commute behind! Awesome! I'm thinking Cornell?, but regardless, congrats and good luck in the new job! Bingo! We have a winner

  6. Shoes. Running. Married to the garlic farmer.
  7. The moment I knew I won front row Rush tickets. I actually screamed aloud, on the phone to the radio. My father thought I had fallen or something bad happened and it scared the sh*t out of him Of course, teh show that night is including in this "happiest moment" package.
  8. Really? All this hoopla and no emoticon?
  9. Dear foot/ankle/shin injury, Whatever you might be, quit your hissy fit, get over yourself and be happy again so I can continue training for my marathon. Signed, One pi$$ed off runner.
  10. Niice. I'm torn on the issue. I like the ritual of getting ready for work and going somewhere to do it, but now, living an hour away from most available jobs (including the one I have), working from home would be glorious. It would, however, be too close to my kitchen and I sadly would eat more at home than at work.. If I could work half at home, half at the office, that would be best in my world.
  11. Person B. But, I am biased: we built our own house and had to contract out some services, so we dealt with many "Person Bs"
  12. Most of these protestors are against a law wearing a helmet, not the helmet itself. They don't want the government forcing them to do anything, in other words. Seatbelt protestors are the same way.
  13. Had a friend see this on Broadway a few years back and raved about it for months after.
  14. QUOTE (1 of the 7 @ Jun 21 2011, 10:17 PM) People here are starting to complain about the heat to make small talk, then you can see them remember last winter, shudder, and get quiet Crippessakes!
  15. Your summer, Mara, is the Northeast's winter.
  16. QUOTE (ghostworks @ Jun 17 2011, 09:50 AM) and we'll end this particular triptych with the one that 'started it all' for me http://www.sixthseal.com/archive/February2006/the_macallan_scotch_whisky.jpg That's some swanky lookin' bar there, gw.
  17. QUOTE (Xanadu93 @ Jun 17 2011, 12:07 AM) QUOTE (doublereeder @ Jun 17 2011, 12:52 AM)People who claim Gaga suck generally have not listened to an entire album, much like those ignorant people who say Rush's only good song is Tom Sawyer. Been there, done that - I actually bought her new album, sat down, and listened to it with a completely open mind, without any preconceived notions about her, her fashion choices, or any of that stuff. I listened to the record, start to finish (plus some bonus tracks), and it really didn't do anything for me at all. It wasn't terrible, but it didn't impress me, either. Believe me, I want to like her music... I really do. In interviews, she sounds very intelligent, but unfortunately, it's not enough for it to automatically make her music better. (I will concede, however, that "Bloody Mary" is a pretty cool song from the new record, and I also like "Poker Face". Sue me.) Born This Way (the album) has grown on me but the first couple listens, I was so so about it. I still think The Fame and Fame Monster are better. Honestly, the whole album is very theatrical for me; as in, I could see these songs as part of a musical (think: Rent/rock opera). Anyhoo, my general Gaga comments: For those comments about her dressing like a freak and claiming to be who you want to be? Um, that's who she wants to be. She's not your typical t-shirt and jeans kinda gal... As for the meat dress, it was disgusting but I thought it was brilliant. I watch the MTV awards (I think that is where she wore it too) and you could see how many other pop starlets were trying to outdo her, outfit wise (Ke$sha wore a trash bag?), to garner attention - then Gaga shows up wearing meat. Win! In general, I appreciate that she is using pop to spread positive messages and write genuine songs other than "DJ! Turn the music up!" /end
  18. Senseless for me since our yard is still a dirt pit, or mud pit in times of rain which seems to be 3-4x a week.
  19. Wow, I don't come here for a while and look what happens
  20. QUOTE (Mara @ May 27 2011, 08:24 AM) (BTW, most of those people who got cars had some IRS trouble with the taxes, something the Oprah team failed to consider when making that generous gesture). I am not sure I would ever want to win a car for the reasons being I'd have to pay the damn taxes on it, and my car insurance would go up. Just give me something smaller, like Rush meet n greet tickets
