  1. The book was very good. I read it back when it first came out and it was quite unique. Lots of copycats since.
  2. The book is much better than the movie.
  3. It's the RRHOFINO (rock and roll hall of fame in name only) Very true. They have already slid into pop territory, next thing will probably be country music.
  4. Love her in The Hunger with David Bowie.
  5. Guardians of the Galaxy 2. I liked it much better the second time around. I’m not a big fan of Kurt Russell, so his scenes were probably my least favorite. But the rest of it I loved.
  6. We used to cover this in the cover band I was in a few years ago. Fun song.
  7. Pretty soon they’re going to run out of nominees since there are so few rock groups anymore.
  8. Not sure how that really matters. Example: The Incredibles was universally acclaimed and has a 97% approval rating on RottenTomatoes yet you disliked it and thought it was boring. Fair enough. But if you asked virtually anybody, they would’ve recommended it, you would’ve seen it (because of the recommendation), but you would’ve disliked it anyway There are people that I trust that have the same taste as I do. Plus when people say what they disliked or liked about something I can tell. I didn’t see The Incredible’s when it first came out. It wasn’t until later that I rented it from the library that I saw it. I figured it wasn’t something that I would love but I gave it a chance.
  9. It’s been a long time since I’ve bought a ticket for a movie on opening day. Been burned too many times. Like to wait and see what people say about them before I see one now.
  10. I tried to watch that. Couldn’t get past Matt Smith being Prince Phillip. Talk about bad casting. I know! After seeing him as Dr. Who...but I guess in Season 3 they will be replaced with older actors to show the passage of time. Matt Smith was a Dr Who? You’re correct about season 3. Yeah. But I couldn’t stand him. Nobody has measured up to David Tennant.

  12. CCR anything beats The Eagles though I still like Hotel California.
  13. I always heard he was 5’10”. I think Alex is like an inch or so taller and Neil is like 6’4”.
  14. I loved him growing up. He had an awesome singing voice.
  15. As one of the official Hemispheres album representatives I take issue with your comments. :madra: Any more like that and we will require you to wear a prophetic 70s Rush kimono in public. Segue changes his mind every two days. I wouldn’t pay attention. :D
  16. Yep. Saw both when they originally came to the theater. Probably saw Tommy at least a dozen times and Quadrophenia a handful of times. Love Tommy a bit more because of its craziness. My mom even went to see it with me a few times.
  17. Closer to the Heart is a Rush classic. Just like Crazy On You is a Heart classic. I can’t say I like one over the other. They are both good songs. I have a lot of good memories of people singing along in concert with both of them.
  18. Sure, if you have to label it.
  19. Whole Lotta Love. I still see Helter Skelter as associated with Charles Manson.
