  1. Yeah chicks in steam punk skimy skirts and their tits popping halfway out would be horrible......ummmmm yeah....cause I am married....and it would distract me..... Are you nuts man? I hope their next album is titled Spring Break and the drum kit is made from thongs. Scenery is part of the fun of going to concerts. ALthough my wife will be right next to me so its the sly look over the beer cup for me all night. Ill still get caught and get a nipple pinch like I always do. Good thing is if the chick is hot enough my wife usually says something like "Jeez I dont blame you, that girls body is just incredible."
  2. I hope they do NOT replace TBE or Middletown dreams ith Limelight. I love limelight, but if they didnt even play one song from Moving Pictures I would be fine with it. I want a deeper setlist. Grace under pressure was the album that made me a Rush fan. I really want to see TBE.
  3. Could be worse, my first concert ever in 1984 was Men At Work. Ive gotten better taste in music since then.
  4. In the End or The Necromancer (from 8:38 to the end is magical, no pun intended)
  5. QUOTE (tullfan @ Sep 9 2012, 06:23 PM) Rush gives their 70s fans a middle finger on the CA Tour. With ticket prices averaging $100.00 + this is what they do ? By what I can tell on this forum many of you are younger and have no problem with this, but you know what, Rush became popular during the 70s. Us older fans went to their shows, bought their albums, t shirts and tour books. Had a great time. This all came to a head when Moving Pictures came out and Rush was king. Record sales through the roof. All was well in Rushworld. Signals came out and was great and then they get the bright idea to not use Terry Brown and start dropping their epicness for a bunch of lame 80s records and set list that started the trend of completely ignoring their past along with a segment of their fan base, you know, the ones they gained their popularity on. It's very insulting to do this to the fans that got them there, but apparently there are other generations after who seem to love their post 1985 stuff. That's fine, I just think that Rush could put aside 45 minutes in their set list to please the older fans. After all that is the least they could do and they #!#@%ing know it. Instead they take the "This is what we are going to do and we can care less about the fans" attitude. O.K. fine. I give up. I will not be going to this show. The first Rush tour I will miss since the Hemispheres Tour. I was a diehard and they threw fans like me under the bus. I'm sick of it !!!!!!!!!!! Must be nice making tons of money playing a bunch of songs some of us don't want to hear, oh and by the way, make sure no one steals your t-shirt money Rush because you don't make any on the concert ticket. Give me a #$@%ing break. I am 41 and have been listening to Rush since I was 12 (Thank God for older brothers with good taste for music). I have to call sour grapes on this post. Would I love to see them play 2112 in its entirety? Hell yes, but I know it is never going to happen again. Hell my favorite Rush song ever is In the End, in fact I love it so much it was the song my wife and I had our first dance to! However, they are never going to play that either. Fly by Night is never coming back, Bangkok, Bastille Day, Hell I would give a kidney for Fountain of Lamneth! The reality is Geddy cant hit those notes anymore, plain and simple. I dont think Neil ever wants to play La Villa again either, I was incredibly supreised when they played it last tour and I knew it was most likely the last time I would see it. The boys are in their 60s now, be grateful they are even touring at all. They have reached the place all of us are envious of: They can work on what they want, when they want. We should all be so lucky and not begrudge them for it.
  6. Id take them both. You never know when just by design it may be their last tour, let alone the unpredictability of life itself. I for one, will go to every Tampa show they play until they hang it up. When they are gone, they are gone and I dont want to say "I wish I had seen them on XXXXXX tour"
  7. I cant imagine they would lose SCoG. It is absolutely meant to be played live.
  8. 2112 in its entirety would send me in to sensory overload. As long as they are bringing stuff out of the back shelf and being completely unpredictable is it too much to ask for In the End and Fountain of Lamneth? Ok just gimme 2112.
  9. QUOTE (ALifeson85 @ Sep 7 2012, 07:43 PM) PLEASE let Jacob's Ladder end the first set...PLEASE let Jacob's Ladder end the first set...PLEASE let Jacob's Ladder end the first set... If Jacobs Ladder ends the first set the universe will shatter from the sheer volume of awesome!
  10. My subwoofer has just devoured my dog....I am ok with this.
  11. Wheres my thing is such a jam!!!! Is this seriously true? God, I have waited forever to see this one live.
  12. Is anyone noticing there seems to be a thread running through the setlist as far as lyrics go. Its not so much a political message as it is a cause and consequence message hat is weaving its way through the lyrics to these songs....I could be reaching I admit but these are some very lyrically charged songs.
  13. holy crap if this is real Nov 3rd cant come soon enough! I need some CA though! Gotta have Anarchist and Seven Cities. p.s. If they somehow pull out In the End I will streak the Tampa show, someone bring bail money please.
