  1. In AC, I specifically remember when they got to Limelight, the place erupted. Before that, Subdivisions warranted a big welcome,Big Money & Force Ten only got big reactions after the solos, and when they started Grand Designs, I had this guy a row behind me go "What the hell is this song?" But anyway, Territories was well recieved after Geddy's heavy bass part at the end. The Analog Kid was a part of the show where alot of people were raving and roaring(or perhaps drooling) over the solo and beginning of the song. Bravado came over ok, and Far Cry had a pretty big reaction, probably since they have played it so many times over the past couple of tours, people are starting to get used to it. During the CA Set, Caravan only had people erupting when they first came on and after Alex's Solo, CA had crowd interaction, like many other places, during "as if to fly," but was otherwise politely recieved. The Anarchist is where things started to take off and everyone was really getting into the set. Same with Carnies, but this time it ended with a bang. The Wreckers came around, and some people were becoming restless and making beer runs. When Headlong Flight came around, that got one of the biggest reactions of the night, it was crazy! Halo Effect/Alex's Solo lost some people again, but then SCoG gained everyone back! The Garden yieled a great reaction. Manhattan Project got polite applause but many people didn't recognize the song. Actually, after the show I met up with one of my teachers who had been at the show, and, she is more of a casual friend, she thought that song was Prime Mover. At least its the right decade. Anyway, The Percussor and Red Sector A were well recieved, and then YYZ - 2112 the whole place was jumping! It was a great show overall!
  2. I really enjoy the last couple of moments through TS where Alex is interacting with the audience... After the line "The world is, the world is/ Love and life are deep/Maybe as his eyes are wide" he either says "What is that supposed to mean anyways?" or "Did I play that right?" I can't figure out what he says but after that he is just pretty hysterical... Also bass solo at the beginning of Where's My Thing? and the section in Headlong Flight where it transitions to "The days were dark and the nights were bright, hey man blah blah..." That is a great scene with the guys at center stage jamming
  3. Show Don't Tell, The Pass Dreamline, Bravado, Where's My Thing?, Ghost of A Chance Animate, Stick It Out, Cut To The Chase, LTTA Driven, Limbo One Little Victory, Ceiling Unlimited, Ghost Rider, Peaceable Kingdom, Vapor Trail, Secret Touch, Earthshine, and Sweet Miracle (Now that the remix brought it new life) Far Cry, Armor and Sword, Workin' Them Angels, Main Monkey Business, Larger Bowl, Mal Nar Caravan, BU2B, The Anarchist, Carnies, Seven Cities, The Wreckers, Headlong Flight, The Garden Pretty extensive list if you ask me, maybe too extensive :)
  4. I absolutely love the wall of Geddy's before the chorus of Far Cry (oooo OOOOOHOHOo). It gave me chills the first time I heard it, and every time I hear it today, it still does...
  5. I mean it sounds similar, but even if it is the exact same part, the songs are completely different. This is like comparing Pink Floyd's Goodbye Blue Sky and Metallica's Fade To Black. Eventually, songwriters are going to have to recycle material, new and old. There are only so many riffs and sequences of notes that are rhythmic enough to fit together.
  6. The online ordering system was terrible last night! I was really starting to get frustrated since the closest theater to me was on the list, but I couldn't order tickets from them :/. Luckily, there's a theater in Hightstown (NJ) that has it playing and I got tickets for that showing. I'm so excited!
  7. @losingit2k Unfortunately, unless a revelation happens with the guys in terms of managing a nice long show, I fear the set may look more like this.... R41: The Time Machine Too Tour. Set 1: R41 Instrumedley: (Working Man, By-Tor & the Snowdog, The Necromancer, A Passage to Bangkok, Cygnus X-1, Hemispheres (Prelude)) Limelight Caravan Where's My Thing? Leave that Thing Alone Main Monkey Business Limbo Show Don't Tell Clockwork Angels YYZ/Drum Solo The Spirit of Radio 2112 (O/T/F) Encore: Far Cry Tom Sawyer La Villa Strangiatto
  8. I think it would be an interesting format if they broke the show up into 3 sets. It would be the same number of songs as previous, but they get 15 - 20 minute rests in between each set. So, for example this past tour they could have had the 1st Set, CA Set, and then the Oldies Set. I don't know if this would cut back on the strain on them all, but I don't see why they shouldn't try it...
  9. Better quality version on Youtube thanks to Rounder Records!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4l7Lpg3C_UI This video looks awesome! I cannot wait for the final product...32 Days! The time is soon again!
  10. I was actually at PREX on Friday, and they had plenty of copies of VT, but I decided to pass since they had a copy of CA on vinyl. Now that I see the print, I want one!
  11. I actually ordered the 89'-07' boxset from amazon and got the free standard shipping of 5 - 8 days... It arrived at my door on release day when I came home from school!!! I was amazed at how quickly they ship! That may be just because of my area being close to a local hub (Trenton NJ), so results may vary...
  12. You need to get yourself "Beyond the Lighted Stage!" http://www.amazon.co...e&condition=new Its a must have for any RUSH fan! I beat ya to the punch! Here's my actual collection minus CA, p/g Vinyl, VT remixed CD, and the 89-07 boxset : :D http://instagram.com/p/cmDgnjIViQ/
  13. My 10th grade english teacher is the one to blame for getting me hooked, keeping my Dad up at night while I blast their music, and for spending massive amounts of money on CDs, Blurays, merch, and other swag... He preached to me that RUSH is one of the greatest bands, and (at the time) I shrugged it off as whatever... I had heard 2112 (just the title track) through Guitar Hero and thought that it was epic in its composition. It also had been the heaviest thing I had ever heard... One night, about a month after my teach preached, I saw the Time Machine Tour was on VH1 Classic to promote it being released(before it came out). I decided to sit down and watch it because I had nothing better to do. At first , especially during the opening video I was saying to myself, "What the hell is this crap and who are these guys?" But I recognized TSOR as soon as they started playing. I ended up watching the entire abridged version on VH1... I was blown away by the entire performance, I knew I needed to have it, but unfortunately I had to wait until my birthday in January to get it. But during that time, I purchased copies of MP and 2112 and started playing them incessantly. That held me over for about a month and then I started listening to Fly By Night and PeW. I finally got TMT for my 16th birthday and over the course of the next week, I watched it every day, and sometimes even twice a day. I knew after that, that I had truly found one of the greatest bands in the world. I then proceeded to buy the rest of their back catalog and then when CA came out, I bought tickets to go see them. Its been a long road, but I've become Rush junkie every since I first laid my eyes on that screen. I've already got a buddy of mine hooked in less then 3 months! It is contagious this stuff haha...
  14. Here's something I noticed and I can't figure out why this is... Why are there no lyrics/liner notes for "Feedback?" Were there none originally in the first release?
  15. Just ordered my copy of the Blu-Ray and CD :7up: . I'm so excited, it looks really good! 44 days left! The time is now again!
  16. Keep holding on so long Cause theres a chance that we might not be so wrong We could be down and gone But we hold on
  17. I knew this was going to get us into a weird area...
  18. I mean, they sound much clearer and accented. There really weren't major differences, but they were really subtle. It just felt cleaner. I mean maybe its a placebo effect where I just think it sounds better because it supposed to be a "Remaster." I think its worth it, but I'd like to know more about what you'd consider to be the next stage of ballsiness, and I can try to answer questions... Sorry for the double post, but in terms of bass definition and the bottom end, there is a clarity present that differs from the original track I have. Now, there is a little bit of volume editing. I think this version has been made louder is some parts, but its not throughout the entirety of tracks. I personally prefer these versions to the others. I am not an audiophile by any means though, so its up to you. Like I said before its great value regardless, but if you already have the albums 2 times over or 3 times over, whats the point for a 4th?

  20. After listening to these, I feel that there is a crisp definition to them... Maybe they were just tweaked/are the itunes version updated version on CD. They sound very good regardless! Awesome! Thanks for following up on that! I never picked up the 2004 remasters, so I was thinking about getting the whole set, but I wanted to make sure they had been remastered. I don't like the sound of my original Presto and Roll the Bones cds. I'm hoping these are an improvement. It's honestly worth the value at like $5.50 a CD...

  22. Walmart carries it! My friend picked up a copy for me today at my local one...
  23. No sleeves? What do you want for 50 bucks 37 bucks on Amazon. The sector boxsets came with sleeves and were priced within the same range. I personally could care less if they came with sleeves. I just wanted to point that out for anyone who would be expecting it...
  24. I just received it today, so I haven't had a chance to listen to it yet. If anyone cares about the details of the boxset itself, the size of the box is about half that of the sectors. The provided booklet is simply lyrics, no pictures at all. The albums are ok, feel a bit flimsy but still cool. I think they are accurate reproductions, don't hold me to that one. They don't have sleeves for the cds though, so they may get scratched. All in all though, its great value! I wish we would've gotten the old VT along with the remix... Just would have been interesting. I can't wait to listen to this stuff!!!
  25. I think in that chorus, and in other songs like Peaceable Kingdom, certain vocal harmonies that were buried in the original mix are now more in the foreground. I think your right on that one. If you listen closely enough to the original edits of songs like Ghost Rider and the two previously mentioned, I get a sense that they are there, just covered up by the grumble and the prominent main vocal track...
