  1. I think Glee should resume the wearing of the too-tight pants.
  2. I remember when I first saw this, I was like holy sh**! Look at that setup. And the double neck Riki! The small venue is very cool. :geddy: Nobody on this thread is looking at the setup, the bass, or the venue... Yeah well, Tough. I am! Don't be so damned selfish. :P I'm not! You can take the equipment you like and I'll take whatever you don't want.. :laughing guy:

  4. The live version of this song is fantastic! I was listening to it this morning as I was getting ready for work.

  6. Duran Duran kicks ass. IMO they are the closest comparison to 80s Rush Duran Duran kicks ass. IMO they are the closest comparison to 80s Rush I remember them quite fondly myself. Oh wow, I thought I was the only one...
  7. But admit it, you'd go gay for him. Don't put me on the spot! It's totally fine, when Geddy was singing you call me you call me during the Analog Kid my husband kept holding up his hand like a phone to his ear and singing that line to Alex. The flirtation got him a shirt before 2112.
  8. But admit it, you'd go gay for him.
  9. Oh stop, just wait until you're 80, you'll miss these days. Oh yeah? Let's see how you feel when it happens to you. Hey I know I'm not going to feel so hot, or maybe I will, who knows? I just know what people in my family have told me and I appreciate their wisdom. i know my grandmother would have killed to be in her 60's again.

  11. Wow, I freaked out there for a minute and thought I had blacked out on a month of life.
  12. At first glance, I thought he was holding something else since the black bass blended in with his black jeans. But I thought to myself, Geddy wouldn't pose for a picture like that! I thought the same thing, Lorraine! Me too. I did a double take ... I could look at (and listen to) Geddy all day. He is the coolest man on planet Earth. :sigh: I've returned to the gym and for a long time my formula was to listen to really fast music, dance, rock, etc... to keep me moving but sometimes I felt like harder music was a bit too much so instead I've resorted to listening to My Favorite Headache quite a bit and it just kind of mellows me out but keeps me going. His voice keeps me calm and motivated at the same time, along with a couple of other male musicians, but he's generally my go-to.
  13. My husband is really good at doing almost any sort of handywork so I usually just ask him to help with things. Personally I've done some brick-laying and painting for home building/rebuilding on missions trips. Around the house I don't really do much because I have my husband heh. But a couple of years ago our neighbors had thrown out a rusty metal chair that I thought could be beautiful again so I took it from the trash pile and we cleaned it up and painted it a pretty turquoise color. I'd like to do more DIY things, like I was designing and planning turning our front coat closet into a "craft room" for myself but just the tool rental alone to build the desk and shelves I wanted would have cost more than buying a few pieces. We ended up putting a bookshelf in there instead and it's now a very nicely organized coat closet.
  14. Uhm I worked two jobs with ONE day off per month while I was saving up for my tickets so don't make it sound like I'm "privileged". I work my ass off for what I want in life. Also, on that one day off that I did have I spent it driving 127 miles each way to go help my 84-year-old grandmother out. Front row - Anaheim + San Diego 2012 Fourth row - Salt Lake City 2013 Third row - Denver 2013 Anybody that doesn't like it can kiss my exhausted...
  15. Thanks for dropping by. What's funny is that TRF is seen by some folks at CP (me included) as something of a safe-haven for fanboys...but clearly it's not safe enough for some! (Or maybe I should just return to SOCN and quit posting here? ;) ) Yeah, do that, hehehe.
  16. Geddy sure seems to still be getting better at his instrument...the other guys, not so much, You sure like talking about Geddy's instrument.... I love the way he pounds it. :)
  17. Geddy sure seems to still be getting better at his instrument...the other guys, not so much, You sure like talking about Geddy's instrument.... Well it is lovely. Wait, what?
  18. Have you heard Geddy sing the last few tours? He's not "getting away with it" any longer. And both Alex and Neil have slipped on their respective instruments. Geddy's bass playing is still top-notch, though...it's to watch him play that's pretty much the only reason I even go to their shows any more. I went to 6 Clockwork Angels shows and the RRHOF, I didn't have any issue and I don't care. That's cool...we're all tone deaf to some degree or another. I'm not tone deaf and that's not what I meant. I just said I don't have any issue nor do I care, as in I don't care to look for flaws when I'm just so excited to be there.

  20. You may not be aware of this, but this thread asked for opinions...presumably all opinions are welcome, yes? The truth of the matter is it could be considered "selfish" to want them to keep touring. A case could be made both ways given their age and the wear and tear on them as human beings. I would love to see them again but not at the expense of hurting them or worse.... Where did I hear that before? :laughing guy: I agree completely. Equally selfish to put pressure on them to continue touring. When you get to be their age, maybe you will understand. :codger: There is a difference between "wanting" them to tour and putting pressure on them. I don't know them so there is no way I could possibly pressure them, I'm just over people telling them to stop when the band is saying they can do more/plan on doing more. Geddy is 29 years older than I am and he runs circles around me, I can't keep up with the man when I go to concerts so I think he's fine, he's in better shape than I am. Pressure is put on them to tour by wanting them to tour. Management knows money, lots of money, can be made, and they in turn put the pressure on Rush to go out there and do it. He may very well be in better shape than you, but he is still almost thirty years older than you. Bah, keep in mind they are musicians and the best way to practice and use their craft while they still can, is to make new music and/or tour. Like, there are certain things I am going to do with my body as long as I can get away with it (run, yoga, etc...).
