  1. I enjoy this album, too. I'll jump on this bandwagon. :)
  2. I am just curious why you would prefer to see them outdoors..... granted, if its red rocks or the gorge where there is natural beauty, i understand that....but at a typical shed, i am wondering why you would prefer this over an arena... the negatives for me for an outside place......the weather, it could be disgustingly hot or really cold (see Alpharetta and Virginia Beach on the CA tour) and if its in the summer, the whole first set its still light out....and finally, if you don't get good seats, you are stuck way back but in an arena you can always get close by going side stage in the lower bowl... I've always enjoyed the concert sound under a night sky. Something about it just works with me. It's all about the sound. They always seem to come in September to Pittsburgh. The nights are cool, but the chance of crummy weather is slim.
  3. Awesome! I would love to see them outdoors. Hoping next tour they do the PPG Pavilion in Pittsburgh rather than the arena. My husband saw them during the S&A tour at the Pavilion and said it was great.
  4. He (as well as the other two) probably only accepts correspondence via the management company.
  5. Yep, they work wonders! I'll never go to a concert again - indoor or outdoor - without them.
  6. You know, you are so right. I tried to listen a bit without it and it seemed all the highs were just overtaking the mids and the lows. I didn't know if it was just me or what. Once I put the earplugs in, it filtered all those highs out and it sounded much clearer for me.
  7. Happy Birthday! I remember those days...I cherished them, but I love where my kids are now...11 and a few weeks shy of 9. They still love their mama without shame, but pretty much do everything for themselves. :)
  8. I have musician's earplugs. They are fabulous! No muffled sound whatsoever...and no ringing ears afterwards! Here is where I bought them: http://www.amazon.com/Etymotic-Research-ETY-Plugs-Protection-Earplugs/dp/B0044DEETC The standard fit me and the kids. We each have a pair. So much better than foam or cotton!
  9. Disturbing, indeed. Having looked up random lyrics of songs cited in this thread...it's disturbing the sheer number of those with a severe lack of songwriting talent can sell records.
  10. rayrushray AWAY! Thank you, rayrushray, for being the FIRST on my Ignore List! Would be lovely to have more folks follow suit. "Manage Ignore Prefs" just became one of my favorite links today! I thank you! :)
  11. Sheldon...another one? I'm rather disappointed in your lack of creativity around here!
  12. The beautiful mind of Sheldon Cooper couldn't come up with a better topic?
  13. "That's OK, I'm going to rock your body anyway I'm going to rock your body 'til Canada Day Everybody come and play Throw every last care away Let's go to the mall today!" Any HIMYM fans? :P
  14. Cup-o-Sludge coming up. It's the strongest I've got. What's on the weekend agenda, folks?
  15. AH....I'm in the mood for some frilly vodka...toasted marshmallow, perhaps. Kids are back from camp...they get so much out of it and love it every year. Warms my heart. They always get the best awards, too...ones that fit the personalities *I* see in them, not ones they put on for strangers. Love it, love it! Much better day today...so glad it is Friday. Thanks for coming to the bar, gals (and any guys that wish to join in). I'm loving the atmosphere here.
  16. The show was amazing! It was our third from this tour. We're 2 hours from Pittsburgh, so we saw that show first...then scored suite tix for cheap in Newark and then decided last minute to go to Hershey. If we could see them again this tour, we would. Ha! So thankful my husband loves the band as much as I do. Ice cold brew coming right up...thanks for the hug!! :)
  17. Grab a current tour setlist and go from there. I love what they're playing...if you don't like the CA heavy second half, replace with similar energy level songs that you do like,
  18. Had a good cry last night...and my hubby was so supportive. I haven't had a crummy week like this in ages. Felt good...now, onto the weekend!
  19. Don't be afraid to forgive. Forgiveness has nothing to do with relieving the other person of their wrongdoing...it is accepting the events, dealing with them and allowing yourself to move on from them. Forgiveness is so freeing, but a very, very hard thing to do. So proud of you for handling this whole mess with class and self-respect!
