Pretty good question actually. I’ll have to go with Vital Signs. Nothing else on MP really has that reggae influenced sound to it, and it’s a pretty prominent element of VS.
The spirit of radio is the only reggae influenced song on permanent waves.
Imo witch hunt is the most unlike other songs on MP.
My vote goes to Tai shan.
Yikes. What a dud

First may he RIP.
His rock and roll tweets are too funny.
Steely Dan fans rejoice.
Jabronis watch out. Lol

Les said he's making a new Claypool Lennon album atm so another tour is likely in the next year or so. It'd be cool to see Primus/Frog Brigade/Claypool Lennon in a three year span.
For sure. This will be the 4th Claypool band for me. I have already seen Primus, sausage, CLD .
Les stays busy for sure. I read an interview where he said he is recording with Billy strings! That should be sick when and if it's released.
My big Claypool regret was not catching the colonel Claypools bucket of Bernie brains. It was before I realized how incredible buckethead is. Big mistake. Buckethead and Bernie worrell!
Les may play with buckethead again but Bernie Worrell is now dead. I did see Bernie once with his band the wo warriors.

I had no idea that was Roger's son. Les did a lot of Roger's vocal parts, but Harry sounded great when he had the lead.
It's also quite a trip to see John Lennon's son absolutely nail David Gilmour's guitar playing. He knocked it out of the park.
Check out the Claypool Lennon delirium if you haven't yet. That was my last live show, pre covid and it was great.

Hemispheres is my fave studio record but ATWAS takes their studio work to the next level. Aggression and precision. The birth of prog metal imo.
Perm waves. Natural science being my fave.
Different stages because of disc 3.
Vapor trails. Again aggression and precision but way more emotional.

Les Claypool's band was really really good. Even down a member, you're definitely in for a treat.
I am stoked. Sean Lennon and I just read that Roger waters son, Harry waters is singing and playing keys. Strangely enough I saw Harry play with ozric tentacles on keys back in the day.

Has the US Tour been announced yet?
Just announced
Hevy Devy and animals as leaders are the opening acts.

Les Claypool fearless frog brigade. Playing animals in its entirety.
But, I am going for the opener.
Adrian belew and Jerry Harrison recreating the talking heads remain in light tour.
There are several videos of that tour on youtube. To me it's easily the high point of the talking heads live.

Polyphia - remember you will die.
Next level mostly instrumental group from Texas. Have not been this impressed with a new group in years. Easier to digest than most instrumentals and just super tasty acoustic playing.
Tons of videos on YouTube.
Try playing God which is mostly acoustic or ego death which features Steve Vai. Other songs have rappers and pop singers.

Moving pictures
Perhaps rush and Hugh Syme were peaking at the same time?

Honorable mention to All the world's a stage. Simple but indicative of its contents...

Absolutely love that performance. I never cared for ITIGB much when I was young.
Now I realize the brilliance of the lyrics. Crazy energy and I would of loved for it to have been included on ATWAS.

I could not get that link to load?? Likely user error on my part. Here's another link and some info. Like trying to raise a million dollars and that Neil's old cymbals will be melted down for metal.

May he RIP.
Hair of the dog was one of my earliest music purchases via a mail order record club when I was 10 or 11. One of those, get 8 records for a penny deals. Great tunes. Killer cover art too.

Over the years I've come to appreciate John Paul Jones' keyboard contributions to Zeppelin and so put him their class as well.
On that note I'll put his intro to Your Time Is Gonna Come out there as an all time great.
Yeah, it is great . carouselambra is another fantastic keyboard intro.
