  1. I was definitely thinking about Zep II. Mainly for Ramble On. I've heard many a later bassline steal from it. The definition of influential. I say zep # 1. Dazed and confused is the most iconic bass riff by zep imo.
  2. Rick james - Street songs . Superfreak has got be one of the most iconic bass lines of all.
  3. Bootsy Collins' stuff would be considered iconic funk, for sure. Yeah. I guess a bass line that is sampled by other artists can be considered as proof its iconic? Bootsy is the man! Groove is in the heart!
  4. Bootsy Collins' stuff would be considered iconic funk, for sure. Yeah. I guess a bass line that is sampled by other artists can be considered as proof its iconic? Boots is the man!
  5. Any of the early Bela fleck and the flecktones records. Victor is a beast. My fave bass record is hemispheres. Love me some Rick James too
  6. Indeed. Hair of the Dog is a 70's heavy rock masterpiece. Yeah, one of my very first 8 track tapes. Love it. Just learned love hurts is an Everly brothers cover.
  7. Now that's a great one! That whole record kicks much ass
  8. Oh, and if you don't have a season pass the tune you will hear is the pink Floyd favorite money....
  9. A must is right for resort and most backcountry skiing. I have had my head whacked plenty of times ( in case you can't tell) both pre helmets and bike riding with helmets There are better ways to kill brain cells than through impact.
  10. Into the lungs of hell / set the world afire - megadeth Slaughtered or 5 minutes alone - Pantera Backwoods- RHCP Black steel in the hour of chaos- public enemy
  11. Those of us who use cross country skis for downhill purposes! Telemark skier since 1990. XC beginning late 70's though it's been a while since I've kicked and glided deep in the woods. Nice list
  12. Check out btbams studio cover of bicycle races and live bohemian rhapsody. I got nothing but good things to say about opeth but prefer btbam. Dan Briggs is an amazing bass player. One of the best imo. Blake Richardson the drummer is top notch. Very talented group. Very complex music that is not easily digested but worth it. Imo Check out swim to the moon. North Carolinas finest!
  13. I never listen to music while skiing or biking. Too risky imo. But beforehand it's wake up dead by megadeth or me and my friends by the RHCP.
  14. more good news, since the incident is my favorite album by them Wow, I think it is easily their weakest album of the Harrison era. Time Flies was an instant classic but the “side 2” tracks were probably better than most of The Incident set. Me too but my brother loves it, so go figure?
  15. Maybe it's because his last two solo albums didn't go so well, the last one in particular being unlistenable. He also was talking about how he wished he could be a pop star and that was just straight up delusional I think he was being ironic when he said that at the time. To The Bone is a fantastic album, Personal Shopper meh… I don't think so given all the other praise he was giving to contemporary pop stars at the time + he covered Taylor Swift. I love the Taylor swift cover! I heard it before I heard the original. Not a Tay Tay fan but my daughter is. Great tune. Except for voyage 34. I liked all the future bites sessions videos.
  16. And continuation. And yeah, GH is killing it!
