  1. I've listened to the new album a few more times and it's starting to grow on me. I need to start diving into the rest of their catalogue.
  2. I own Blackwater Park, Deliverance and Damnation, so I picked this one up on a whim on Saturday. WTF is this mellow shit? I need my growls.
  3. Are the two videos shown in theatres, the one with the different musicians showing their love of RUSH, and the animated Neil video, available anywhere?
  4. I just fired up the DVD for the first time, after seeing this once in theatres. 12 minutes in and I'm already on the verge of tears. A 27 year old male shouldn't be able to cry watching a music documentary.
  5. I like Nickelback. They did a show in my hometown back in 95 at the University, which is on top a hill four miles from anything. They got noise complaints in town and had to stop playing early. Ever since then they've been big around here, and everybody likes them. I've seen them 4 times Great band.
  6. You might have forgotten Foreigner . . . . And Cheaptrick.
  7. I was only able to listen to 29 seconds but WOW!!!
  8. Sorry to prove you wrong with your stereotyping, but I'm almost 30 and listen to Rush since 2007. He mentioned teens just getting into rush. You've been into Rush for nearly 10 years, so I don't think your included in his stereotype.
  9. 21 stars out of 12. Uncomparable, yet just as epic as side one.
  10. I am too lazy to look (well, not lazy, but I'm at work right now)- can you tell me what the price was? $161.68 including shipping for the Super Deluxe version, in Canada.
  11. I'm very interested in the Super Deluxe version. But then there's the version with the skateboard and the T-Shirt. What do I do? I need to win the lottery.
  12. Three kickass songs released so far. METALLICA IS BACK.

    New rumor

Excellent question. I wish I could figure out a reason why they WOULD make an album if they can't monetize it. So much effort and time - and they have so many other interests outside the band. I just don't see it unless they can somehow feel satisfied AND get paid. I could see them making an album and then playing a one-off that is filmed for DVD or broadcast live, or something unique like that to promote the album. Geddy has also talked about using Rush in the capacity of filmmaking. So maybe the new album would function as a new Rush album / soundtrack? Albums do not sell anymore. What did CA sell 220,000 copies in the US?? CA was Neil's last labor of love writing, he is not doing that (spending that much time) again. Geddy and Al will have a project here or there, but Neil's dedication is to his family now. Unless he runs out of money... How would he run out of money? Last I heard he was worth like 22 million or something. This is not a stupid man that will throw money away at the drop of a hat on stuff like gambling and drugs. Back in 2000~ when he wait on his cross country bike ride, his accountant called him and told him he had to stop travelling, because he was spending more than what was coming in. It could happen again.
  14. I ordered a Tragically Hip shirt online on Monday the 25th and paid extra for express shipping so that I would have the shirt by their show on the 30th. It's now been two weeks and the order still hasn't been processed for shipping yet. If I knew it would take this long before they even process the order, I would of got free shipping.
  15. I'm 26 now. Time to start being more of an adult. :(
  16. Thanks everybody, it was the best birthday I've had this year.
  17. I was so thrilled to hear that song! And, heh heh, it was funny that the boy band (N'Sync?) was playing right across the street the same night. Not N'Sync… I want to say it was One Direction but I'm not positive. Whoever it was, they were oddly in quite a few cities at the same time as Rush throughout R40. Yes it was One Direction. And in 2013, they were playing the night after The Clockwork Angels Tour. Hmm, there must be a connection! ;) Or none...menaing that the bands' demographics are so disperate that scheduling them against each other is no concern. So, Gina,...which TRF member do you think is going to drop in to prove me wrong with "I had the hardest time deciding which show to attend...."? I'll place my bet on Segue Myles ;) I'll take those honours. Look at post #37, http://www.therushforum.com/index.php?/topic/91346-2015-0717-vancouver-bc-rogers-arena/page__st__20

  19. I'm against paying for bootlegs, but I want both the Blue Sparkle and Across the Airwaves.
  20. It's now one year since this show and the fourth time they played Losing It.
  21. I haven't been able to listen to them since the R40 tour ended, without feeling sad. It's weird considering I used to listen to them all day long for weeks on end.
