  1. There's melodies.......it's INSANELY wrong to say there are none. Just not immediately graspable. I've found them......and granted while not as strong they are there. And there are good songs on here. Unlike VT which is an enormous pile of shit. ahhh. My daily VT bashing.......i feel good, lol Mick
  2. Much as i adore him......he ALWAYS has ridiculous hair. Mick
  3. I think that's just for this specific song, as it's a very soft acoustic ballad. But,he could use this tip: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/3/30/I_move_away_from_the_mic_to_breathe_in.jpg :laughing guy: You think as a singer he'd know that, lol Mick
  4. And James developed a breathing in the mic thing as evidenced by this vid. Love the song but.........GOD JAMES!!!!!!! lol Mick
  5. Lol. the thing is he does not sing to much in concert he's always walking on and off lol lots of instrumental passages. i like him. nowadays though he's lost control of his vibrato, lol Mick
  6. As much i like james's singing.....and i do........he has weird pronunciations, lol Mick
  7. There are plenty of atheistic lyrics in songs I really enjoy...some of their best songs, in fact. They're not combined with dull, dirge like music. And they're not as unrelentingly preachy. I'm an atheist and Wish Neil would shut up about it. He seems stuck lyrically nowadays. Move on, lol Mick
  8. Score is AMAZING. I love hearing the whole Six Degrees Suite live. Mick
  9. All Great tracks. Also every rush album as far back as Signals (Yes Signals) could shave off tracks. Rush forgot how to edit. Mick I wonder if maybe the idea is to fill up a CD, or to give us more...thinking more is better. But in this case, less is more. Anything over say 45 mins is pushing it for me. now these 66 min plus jobs.......to. MUCH, lol of course a concert setting is different. Strictly talking albums. Mick

  11. He'll just tell Snakes to eat his poo, lol Mick
  12. Hope is better. Monkey Business is to poppy for Alex. How do you Know missy? Did you ASK Alex? lol Mick Who cares what Alex thinks? We're the ones who get stuck having to listen to his guitar playing. ;) lol i got ya. And i like hope too. very much. Mick

  14. It has the main Monkey Business...... so thread's over, lol. Awesome Track. Mick
  15. Zumbi i know you and i don't see eye to eye most of the time. but I'm going to agree. It's my Fav newer Rush Album. i think it's TONS better then VT and CA. and yes the mix is perfect and why Nick what's his face and Rush chose to mix CA like that after Snakes.I'll never Know. I love snakes and will forever consider it underrated. Mick
  16. Man I HATE TOT. Trying to project an image they are clearly not. massive fail, IMO Great DVD from that tour though. Mick it makes me laugh when DT fans act like TOT is some super f***ing brutal album. I wish DT could find a way to be heavier without sounding so unconvincing or nu-metal. awake successfully pulled off a "darker" vibe, scenes and six degrees have some heavy songs that work. what were they trying to prove with train of thought??? They were trying to make songs for the crowds to go crazy to, destination: Japan. And they accomplished that, yes, but it was at the cost of a studio album. Hence why we got the awesome Budokan show. Much as i hate the album.......and hearing the songs live didn't help my view of it. the show still came off amazing. and the extented jams were great Mick

I can't even respect the attempt.....much as i'd like to say i do. And those nu Metal raps..........bite me, lol Mick
  18. That's another problem i had wih Portnoy. Dude stick to your kit and Harmony vocals. you're great at both. I loved portnoy's backing vocals. but lead? Just stop, lol Mick

  20. I suppose it's a good thing both discs exist then, as I only really care for the first disc and find the second lame. Five Degrees of Essential Turbulence: 1. Overture 2. The Glass Prison 3. Misunderstood 4. Blind Faith 5. Disappear Perhaps I should give the suite another try though.. I could do that today. To each their own. The Suite is my favorite DT Epic tied with Octavarium. I really can't stand the first disc. i'll have to try the first disc again sometime. Mick
  21. i wish SDOIT Was the 1 disc........meaning the suite. IMO There was no need for disc 1. Funny thing sbout DT.....i love the band but with their output. I either love their stuff or hate it. There's no i sorta like it, lol Mick
  22. I enjoy I walk beside you. Never enough........is reallly quite enough, lol Mick
  23. Good call. i didn't join but lurk a lot and.......holy shit, lol Mick
