  1. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is slated for a July 13, 2007 release, says WB. Ok so this might be a problem or really brilliant, I heard it both ways. The Final Harry Potter book is rumored to be released on 07-07-07, which we know from the series is a magical number. Some are saying that they arent going to release the final book and the movie (on the 13th too!) at nearly the same time. I disagree! Nothing wrong with some Harry Potter hysteria! Link to news
  2. Well it seems Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe) is getting much older, for D In case your wondering he will be 18 in a little over a year so I am not that gross! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v408/pixey/dan7scan.jpg
  3. Just found this myself today. Your absolutely correct, it is extremely powerful! This is a movie you know you will have to bring tissue to. I have never cried over a movie but there has never been a story like this.
  4. Damn you are all rough! Lots of movies on your lists that I love! The Crying Game- Cmon, you KNOW its the worst. The Constant Gardner- Yes I know Oscar Nominated but man BORING!
  5. I was an excellant driver, its other people that dont know how to drive! Been in 4 accidents, none my fault, 2 were women drivers and 2 were men drivers. Men are just as stupid sometimes!
  6. Completely agree GG. Joaquin did an excellant job and deserves an Oscar. He certainly did his research on Johnny before the movie, he had it down pat! An amazing movie and an Amazing performance by Jaoquin!

  10. Update: David Heyman (Producer) is saying that they have every intention of having Oldman play the rle of Sirious but scenes will not be shot for several months. Also from WB they are saying that negotiations are still underway which led to the rumor that he would not play the role.
  11. Evil Dead 2, so much so that my 14yr old boy is named Ash after the character! Prince Of Darkness is really good too along with the other two Evil Deads (Evil Dead and Army Of Darkness).
  12. QUOTE (thestand @ Feb 11 2006, 08:31 PM) Olympics. Will be for the next few weeks. Exactly what he said
  13. Flogging Molly I think was cancelled! Our local concert hall was closed because it is downtown and that whole part of the city is being completely revitalized! Great for the city and the people living here but now everything is being turned into lofts and high end businesses! Its looking like lil Manhattan down there! So the owner of the building revoked their lease to turn it into lofts and retail shops. It is the best prime spot in the city. Now we have just one large concert hall and rarely do big name bands come thru becuse we only have 160K people. The smaller venue would only nearly 1,000 people and was always full. Also check this out, the city is trying to make an ordinance that would make it only over 21 for those that do hold concerts if they serve alcohol!
  14. There are conflicting stories about this. WB confirms he will be appearing in the movie but his scenes are not due to start filming until later this summer. So his agent says no, WB says yes. I would say not to worry about this until it gets closer to summer!
  15. All The Presidents Men!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  16. I like quite a few that have already been mentioned. Another great one is The Prince Of Darkness.
  17. Oh man I know I will leave out some movies but this to start. Star Wars series LOTR trilogy Evil Dead Trilogy Ladies and Gentlemen, The Fabulous Stains Logans Run Napoleon Dynamite Goodfellas Over The Edge ( totally agree with you!) The Quick and the Dead Young Frankenstein Akira Death Becomes Her All the Harry Potter Movies All The Presidents Men Beetlejuice ( laugh all you want) Suburbia ( the one directed by Penelope Spheeris) The Long Kiss Goodnight A Clockwork Orange Die Hard Series I am including also Anne Of Green Gables though its technically not a film film.
  18. I liked One Hour Photo too and it did change how you viewed Robin Williams.
  19. I LOVED vanilla Sky! I mostly loved it because it was so weird! Rented The Machinst and going to watch it this weekend.
  20. QUOTE (rushgoober @ Jan 2 2006, 01:00 PM) i too will often watch 30 minutes of Mad TV and then switch over to SNL, especially since usually the funniest skits on SNL are right at the beginning. If SNL is especially lame, I'll go back or switch back and forth. I think in general Mad TV is funnier these days - the humor and skits are just so OUT there - I love that! Both have their pros and cons, though it seems SNL has more cons these days... Ditto for me
  21. Had to go with That 70's show. Though I dont mind watching Seinfeld, George and Kramer annoy me. They were all way too self centered and snobbish for it to be too funny. Yes Red saying about the foot in the ass does get old but its part of who Red is, parents always have that same line they say over and over to their kids.
  22. QUOTE (endlesslymocking @ Dec 16 2005, 08:33 PM) Does it explain, why the wardrobe sends them to another world? I loved all 7 books, and I saw the lion, witch and wardrobe on stage....which was amazing....I'll have to see this movie sometime.... Aslan brought them to Narnia everytime they went, remember the Prophecy that Aslan and the other characters spoke of during the series? Aslan brought them there as needed.
  23. My kiddo said "IT WAS AWESOME!!!" And yes he did scream it.
  24. My 10 year old is at the movies right now watching it with his book club, I am jealous!
