Sophia Elayne, my beautiful Grand Daughter who will be here sometime in mid June.

  2. Summerfest is at the Marcus Amp in Milwaukee on July 3rd. Both Rush.com and Live Nation have it wrong. I called the venue meself. Ticket prices are as follows.

    79.99 Red

    69.99 Yellow

    49.99 Benches

    Lawn 34.00

    Includes admission to Summerfest.

Charter One in Chicago prices are stupid. They start at $126 plus taxes then go down to $46 for lawn or whatever it is they have.

Worth saving the extra cash and driving to Milwaukee.

  3. Big Machida fan, I hope he takes Evans out!

I, unlike what I have heard from others, love his fighting style. He is the Thinking Mans Fighter. Every fight of his I have watched I become more impressed by him. Machida is smart and tough, a brutal combination. He deserves the title.

Hopefully one day UFC will get the balls to just give Fedor what he wants, the man deserves his shot right off the bat.

I was surprised to walk into a library and on the Free Books table was this book. I had it many many years ago but while some of my stuff was being stored this book got ruined when the garage got flooded. It is the first book in a series of 15 (this is the only one I have read) and there are points for and against. I just thought it was a fun read.

  6. I never work out and I always eat what I want. I also don't weigh too much but the pounds are finally packing on. I weigh 125, if I get to 150 I will start eating healthy and working out. The only other time I weighed 125 was 9 months pregnant. For 33 years I was 105, starting to bother me.
  7. Lisey's Story by Stephen King

Lord Of The Rings by Tolkien, The Hobbit was better. Perhaps I should do one book at a time instead of all three in one large book.

Dragonriders of Pern by Anne Mc Cafferey, just tried it again. At leaast I made it to page 11 this time.

Old Man In The Sea by Hemingway. YAWN!

Wuthering Heights by Bronte. Nothing about this book was exciting or even interesting. I kept waiting for something, anything to happen.

Silas Marner by George Eliot. Had to read the whole thing in high school. Worst book ever!

I am giving The Drangon Riders Of Pern a second chance. However second page and I am already not interested. Shame.

Anne McCaffery is my favourite writer!

I have had this book for over 20 years too! I always make it to the 2nd page and give it up. I always hear great things about these books but for some reason I can't get past page 2. Then again I hated The Lord Of The Ring Books and could never read those through, however I did make it into the 700's before I finally gave up and skimmed the rest.

  9. Les who will turn 18 next month! Damn I must be getting old.

  10. What I loved

I am so happy that not only Harry but Ron, Hermione and Neville all destroyed a Horcrux!

Neville and Ron both came about in a stunning way, grew up!

When Ron destroyerd the Locket Horcrux. I thought for sure he was going to cave. I was so glad that Ron and Harry had that moment afterwards and I was applauding Ron for his sadness and bravery. Ron was overall amazing!

Ron and Hermione getting together was perfect. Um there is a war going on.

    Molly kicking Bellas butt!

    Voldies death, the final chapter.

Deaths, I knew it was coming but it's still sad. Well done though.

    What I hated.

    Chapter 34 and Chapter 35.

Snape, nonsense. It made so much more sense to have Snape protect Harry because of the failed life debt to James. Also fully grips why he hates Harry. HATED IT!

I also didnt care for Harry is a Horcrux but when I was arguing the point I had thought of the adage of a wet ball bouncing against a wall. It would have helped to understand Horcruxes too. There is usually always more than one way to create something.

Not returning to Hogwarts. 7 Books for 7 Years at Hogwarts was blown out of the water.

It seems she was affected by all the attention. I seriously think the book would have been different had she not become some famous for it.

  11. Scared the crap outta me to then I thought well maybe they just said, F*ck it, thats long enough or perhaps the big ruler guy (lol) said, WTF are you gus doing! I said 1,000 years! Not 2,000 years!

Theres a song by The Klaxons called, The Four Horsemen Of 2012, cool song.

  12. Posted this over at RT, he needs to be here too.

  13. Strangeland - Captain Howdie (Dee Snider of Twisted Sister) has everyone hung up, mouths sown shout, in cages, just some weird stuff in that movie. Loved it though, real good flick. Check it out if you havent seen it. I was really surprised at the movie, it was way better than I would have ever thought.

Evil Dead - The pencil in the ankle.

Final Destination 2 - When the plate of glass fell on the kid, gross!

Basketcase - I have never been able to sit on the toilet without first turning on the light and looking into it thanks to that film.

Pans Labyrinth, I wont give this away since this is a new film but I will say.....the Nose scene! OUCH! Even the mouth scene!

I agree about the horse in The Cell, pretty freaky.

  14. QUOTE (Slime @ Jun 8 2007, 03:44 PM)
Norbert, probably. The Horntail had basically a morningstar as a tail and the Gringotts dragon was only hinted at (and they'd never give the thing away).

At least THIS cover looks somewhat cool.

Over at the Leaky Cauldron there is a major discussion going on whether it is Norbert or an Opaleye. The Opaleye is in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

    Antipodean Opaleye

native to: New Zealand (and Australia)

    habitat: valleys

    appearance: iridescent, pearly scales

    size: medium

eyes: glittering, multicolored, with no pupils

    flame: vivid red

    food: sheep

    eggs: pale grey

Does sound an aweful lot like that dragon. The Opaleye does not eat humans either. Dragons arent usually friendly so we can't wait to hear how they are actually riding one.

Did you also notice that the Dragon and Hermione are looking at the same thing? Are there Dementors around? Notice the foggy clouds. Also in none of the 4 covers is there a wand, now thats interesting.
