Oh yeah, I feel honored to make your lists.... that and you're a big dumb Saints fan You sound like a damn turncoat that's why you're on the list! You little Fudgepacker! Hum, a fudgepacker? Don't you mean cheeseheads? Go Green!! (Can never be on this list, but the obsessed fan list can't be far behind!?....)
  2. QUOTE (laughedatbytime @ Jun 18 2012, 09:49 PM)I enjoyed Max Webster on the MP tour in 1981. Laughing, real nice depressing chart! I thought this was the rush forum, not CNN? Really makes you want to Glad we have shows to look forward to! September can't come soon enough!

Do you have any idea how many Daniel Clarks there are on the planet? Having my name on the poster means nothing. I ordered the UK pack for the magazine and for potential collectable status. I'm not even going to open it for a few weeks so I can see if there's any interest on eBay for these things. If there is, I'm selling - I've got the domestic CD and the vinyl on order as well, so I'll still own the album. says it all - pathetic people always looking for a buck - i hope you end up penniless dude d Kleenex alert! considering SELLING it? Means nothing? Hum, Too much ? Got my fanpack today and the uniqueness of all names, mine included, is priceless...
  4. QUOTE (rushgoober @ Jun 9 2012, 10:29 AM) QUOTE (losingit2k @ Jun 9 2012, 08:23 AM) QUOTE (rushgoober @ Jun 8 2012, 11:58 PM) QUOTE (Tarkus406 @ Jun 8 2012, 09:39 PM) Lucky, I asked a guy at a music shop in West Virginia about it and he got pissed at me. "THAT'S A $50,000 FINE!!" psh I called my local Best Buy since I saw people here getting it at their local record stores, and they said they had it in stock and it was $10, so stupid me, I went down to the store and THEN they clarified that they couldn't sell it to me. I was NOT happy, as the store wasn't really that close. Honestly, if I had any clue that the fan packs would arrive before June 12th, I probably would have just paid the extra money for one. The only reason I didn't was I thought they wouldn't be sent UNTIL June 12th and then it would take a week or more to arrive from the UK, and I knew I would have a hard time waiting after the album already came out. Oh well, live and learn. I'm glad people are getting around the system and getting them early, but be grateful - not all of us have had the same luck. Still believing in fairy tales I see! The guy told me on the phone it was available. I took him at his word. When I got to the store, they wouldn't back it up. I guess the customer isn't always right at Best Buy. I told them they'd be losing a customer for life, and they really didn't seem to care. Lovely. Their service sucks...Next store to go outta business...any bets?

Rush mosh pits always end up with broken hips, people losing their glasses and the occasional toupee going missing. (Cuz we're all old, you see ) Well you guys better secure your toupees and glasses because with the way CA is sounding, I'm gonna want to start a pit OUT OF MY WAY, OLD PEOPLE!! Not sure how much the band would appreciate that though But... what if Alex or Ged jumped off the stage and started to crowdsurf? Hey, there's a first for everything! That'd be real cool! Last concert bodysurfer I saw was Billy Joel at MSG back in the 80's.......outta da way!; the pit sounds good to me!

I sure hope so considering the $$$ involved! I wish they would give you a general idea of where your seat is just for reference! Counting the days to the first show in Indy....this die-hard fan can't wait! Thanks for the info! Yeah, what a concept- wanting to know your seat when you drop 300 big ones on a VIP package. . . Yeah, stupid idea, but it works for suckers like myself, right? I can sense from the posts that seasoned tour veterans don't like the VIP route. Not trying to piss anyone off as you guys/ladies get priority! For my first shows, it was just the "simple and easy" plan to get tix! Expensive, but easy!

Counting the days to the first show in Indy....this die-hard fan can't wait! Thanks for the info! I'd hate to break it to you but people have gotten first 7 rows from the musictoday presale (myself included). Assume that some seats are reserved for people with connections. I hope you get great seats. Well, at the moment these are my first shows so I'm quite happy to be in the same building as the boys! Location TBD is fine by me! Just saying that IMO ViP should make a difference considering the cost! Understand that other presales are competing for seats. I'm new at all of this and wasn't gonna waste hours of time Trying to get a certain seat location.
  8. QUOTE (GeddPratLerxst @ Jun 8 2012, 11:59 PM) QUOTE (Steely Caress @ Jun 8 2012, 11:02 PM) QUOTE (GeddPratLerxst @ Jun 8 2012, 11:00 PM) QUOTE (Steely Caress @ Jun 8 2012, 10:58 PM) I can only speak of a recent experience with VIP, the new method of finding out what seats you get at the show. Last weekend I saw Roger Waters, bought VIP's in February. THey stated that I would be in rows 10-15, which I thought would be great in order to see THE WALL. Anyway, I go to pick up the tickets and find out they are 5th row center. So hopefully you can get the same luck with the Rush VIP's) Did you buy your tickets right when they went on sale or was it a few minutes/hours after? The original tickets for this Roger Waters concert went on sale in November, and I bought in February. Wow thats great! I bought mine the second they went on sale so I hope I do at least as well as you did! Wow, that's amazing considering the time delay involved. For Chicago, I had a 12:05 pm checkout so I'm hoping for good seats. For Indy, I waited to get tix later that day to see if would be further back to take in the light show & my surroundings from a different viewpoint!

I never saw this in the movie. Same here. Nope I think it is in the second DVD of special features under "The search for the first gig". Bingo! Geddy indicated that Ray didn't think that he was the right singer! Are you kidding me? Must've been the / ! I hope that Geddy made him eat crow stew 7 days a week!

What a great package and the album sounds AMAZING! The boys have no business being this good this late in their career but I am SO glad they are Cranking Clockwork in the Hood! I'm about 7 hours away from you- hopefully mine shows up in the next day or so. Goody! Goody! I've been 'g with excitement and patiently waiting! NOT! "Preparing stereo to blast out the neighbors" No 911 calls please!!!! Police: Turn your music down.... Me: (real honest response =

Well they just played it in the S&A Tour so I don't mind them playing Prime Mover either. That's very cool tune too. Anything can happen! Prime Mover! Prime Mover!!!!!!!!!!!...Please!! Please!!

If you don't bring soup they will give your tickets away to the homeless guy sleeping out front Hey! I said I wasn't homeless...just tired and a bit hungry, and, ok, in need of a bath. Sheesh! Soup, huh? Like the soup reference in the "Boys in Rio" DVD documentary? I'll bring crackers instead...HA!

"They tell me to put my seat back forward. Well, I don't bend that way! If I could put my seat back forward, I'd be in porno movies!" Stewardess: OK, you may now get on the plane. Carlin: Get "on" the plane? f**k YOU! I'm getting IN the plane!! Yeah, I really miss George's comical reality check...I watch his videos when I'm down for a quick mood lifter...the laughter works every time!! Okay, I got a question for everyone that somewhat relates to this topic. This 45 year-old female die-hard fan is going to her first two shows in September. (yeah, better late than never!) Man, I can't wait!! I'm worried that I won't have the energy to jump around and go crazy for the entire show and "wipe out" from exhaustion unless I take a break and sit for the "slower songs". As I'm doing two shows solo within two days with considerable drive time involved to get down to the Indy show from Madison (about 7 hours on Wednesday, with the show on Thursday) Just looking for any recommendations or survival ideas/hints for this Rush concert "newbie"....yes, I purchased the Hearos Fidelity earplugs this time (see below). With VIP tix, I'm not sure though where I'll end up sitting/standing. I plan to make signs as well. FYI, the last concert I saw was Phil Collins back in '04 at the old Spectrum in Philly so it's been awhile. At that show, I was in the lower right bowl section 113 and could see everything while still seated. However, I didn't use earplugs so my ears were ringing for several days straight afterwards! Survival ideas? Um... don't drive through any bad neighborhoods on your way to the show? Don't wear a shirt that says "Please shoot me" on it? Don't give your wallet to a random stranger? Stand when you want to stand, sit when you need to sit. Wear comfortable shoes LOL! Good common-sense advice. Thanks!! Is it September yet? Can't wait!!

  16. QUOTE (Janie @ Jun 1 2012, 02:18 PM)(From RIAB) Here's a link to some great photos from the Governor General's Performing Arts Awards. I couldn't figure out how to copy pics to post here. Definitely check out the photo album though. There are a lot of great pics of Al. Thanks for posting the pics. I was wondering what award program this was! Alex is really dashing here in his tux!
  17. Help! I'm looking for the procedure on how the VIP thing really works (if any?). I know you pick up the tix day of show at the venue in question. I'm guessing that they email you more information closer to the show date, right? Is there a structured get together of VIP tixholders? Yes, as you might have guessed by now, I'm new at this whole thing so please forgive me if I sound stupid!

  19. QUOTE (FT Tracker @ May 24 2012, 06:42 AM)Just wondering if you thought they would play RED Sector A with their laser light show. Does it make a difference that they are going to Germany on the 2113 part of the tour? I hope so as it's my favorite song. The lyrics can universally apply to all situations of unchecked power over others.
  20. QUOTE (Snaked @ May 23 2012, 02:16 PM)same 88MB garbage file thats been out in the wild for a while now. Snake, yeah it looks like someone has nothing better to do than waste people's valuable time. Idiots!.....Patience everyone...June will be here soon enough! Geez!
  21. I voted for Mystic Rhythms, but they could play anything and I'd be thrilled.

(livenation/ticketmaster) For concerts in my experiences, yes. Some venues also have box office sales day of, and some of those are venue-driven, some TicketMaster driven. But, I have bought good "day of" seats to sporting events at StubHub, and know a friend who has gotten good "day of" seats through StubHub for concerts. And since it was brought up, as others have mentioned, this is certainly not a guaranteed way to get good seats. The times I have gotten lucky, I got squat in the presales, and bought my "backup" lawn or nosebleed seats. Once I scored the new ones, I dumped the others to a buyer at the venue. (Actually, for one Rush show several years ago, I had seats around Row 20 on the floor. I bought a "day of" ticket on row 5 at the venue box office. About 20 minutes before show time, I walked up to the nosebleeds. I found a young guy in a Rush T-shirt sitting by himself. I asked him if he was by himself, and when he said "yes," I just gave him my row 20 seat. It was worth the cost of that ticket to see his face light up. After about 3 "Are you serious?!" he finally got out of his seat to head for his upgraded seat on the floor.) Class act. Priceless...if only more people were like this, the world would be in a much better place!
  23. QUOTE (OGr8imL84AD8inF8sBlackSedan @ May 21 2012, 05:53 PM)Please God, please let Lawrence Welk be the orchestra leader. LOL..... But personally I'm paying good $$$ to see Rush (Alex, Geddy & Neil), not some side stuff going on!! They can pre-record the string stuff and the guys can trigger the sound effects...
