interesting take on it.... i am not sure that rush really manipulates things like this, but its true in the fact that if I knew for sure that there was going to be an R40 tour, I would scale back some shows for this spring/summer leg... with Geddy saying there will be no plans for R40, I am trying to figure out how many shows I can get to I think you hit it on the head. Release some disinformation about R40 to sell more CA Tour Tickets. Then Come April of next year release the info on R40! Sounds about right to me! :codger: I'd have to agree on this fact! If we all knew that R40 was coming around the corner, then we all could skim down on the number of shows we attend on the upcoming 2nd leg knowing that we'd see the boys again "soon" next year. It's a marketing ploy to sell as many tickets now for the CA tour!! Great financial plan if you ask me!!

One of the security guys was watching me intensely in Indy. What? I've done the VIP route for all my shows thus far so I'm really not familiar with the other presale sites... Stubhub. More expensive than the "VIP and pray" approach or the wait til the last minute and pray approach, but much less uncertainty involved. Last leg, I opted for VIP and got 15th row, which was a bit disappointing considering I couldn't have possibly gotten seats any farther away, but that's the chance you take with VIP. I'll add it was a single ticket, too, bought the first day of the public sale, not the presale, but still hard to believe all 14 rows ahead were already sold out for VIP by then. I would only take the chance again if I could buy a package right at the moment they go on sale, which I couldn't do this time around due to the timing (noon on a Tuesday —both presales fell right smack in the heart of work time). Actually thinking of doing that myself; been eyeing a single pit tix in Milwaukee!! Don't know if a Pit ticket is pure insanity or not (seat or not in the pit?...Not to sit mind you, but just to have some personal space. I'm not a sardine, thanks!) Yeah, I got lucky in the fact that I didn't have to work that day to get tix first thing this go round ...I was shocked myself with VIP tix at Chicago last year...got 14th row with a 12:10 pm check out time; and 4th row in Indy with 4:30 pm checkout...wanted to have the two different viewing vantage points...they just got flipped IMO. Understandable though as Chicago had much more demand obviously. Would have driven 8.5 hrs again to Indy if they had a show again there this leg!! Nice smaller venue down there! :ebert: :)

Damn! They still played at high schools at this point? I didn't live here in WI back then (was in PA), but that's only about 3 hrs north of my current location. Nice little drive....this coming from someone who's driving 15+ hours to Hershey...the time doesn't count though as I'm visiting my mom as well for a combined vacation and two shows on the way back home! Woohoo!!

Bob, I'm very sorry to hear that your beloved doggie is no longer with us. :( I'm glad that she's no suffering anymore so take comfort in that fact. After while, when you're ready, get another puppy to fill the large void...You'd be surprised how soon you can recover from the loss with another furball to play with. Hope all will be okay at the workplace!! :)
