  1. If someone can PM me instructions how to upload photos, I can show you more early photos, unseen. Taken in a very small club before they hit the big time.
  2. Permanent Waves, Moving Pictures, Signals, Counterparts, Clockwork Angels
  3. Los Angeles to Ft. Lauderdale two weeks ago. Then drove to Orlando. Drove back to Lauderdale and then flew back to LA. I'm still tired!
  4. Of course I noticed. The entire back of his head was bald. Now it's not. He looks much better now. I don't think he wears it every day. Just for shows. There were videos of them from a few weeks ago at Rolling Stone and he's not wearing it. He was definitely wearing it for all the shows on the first leg as well.
  5. I have an extra brand new C.A. tour book. If anyone wants it, please let me know.
  6. Alex didn't play it on the record. Most of what you hear live is the pre recorded playing from the record. He only plays the single passing chords live.
  7. The only vocal lip synced was the megaphone section of Clockwork Angels and The Anarchist.
  8. I saw 6 shows in the last 10 days. I had VIP tix for some of them. The best I got was 2nd row, right in front of Al. The worst I got was 9th row center, directly in front of Neil. Not a bad way to enjoy the concerts. VIP nation was great. The lines were never long. Everything was smooth, no issues. Will definitely go that route again next time. The only thing that disappointed me was I didn't know how to do the meet and greet. I assumed they weren't doing it. Then, in Vegas I met a bunch of people who got to do it. I definitely want to do it next time. I've been a lifelong fan. I'd love to meet them. I did go to the rockwalk induction. It was in a small room indoors and I was 3 feet away from the three of them, behind a rope. Unfortunately they quickly placed their hands in the cement and then left. There were no photo ops or meet and greets or anything. I took off work and stood outside all day thinking I would finally get a photo with them and shake their hands. Oh well. Maybe next time.
  9. I saw Rush 6 times in the last 10 days. MGM had the best sound compared to the other venues. It also happened to be the only venue of the 6 that was carpeted. That has a huge impact on the sound.
  10. San Antonio is the next and last time they will play Limelight on this leg of the tour.
  11. They played limelight last night at Anaheim. They are rotating it every other show.
  12. The Spirit of Radio is not a part of the rotation. It's played every night. Free Will is not being plaed at all on this tour in either set. I've seen both. Set B is definitely the better one IMHO.
  13. It was really cool. Great show. The band is still very energetic and having a great time. Geddy was great. His voice actually got stronger as the night progressed. The second half was super energetic. The strings were awesome. All good. Can't wait to see the next 3 shows over the coming days.
  14. I flew from LA to see this show tonight. I've got tickets to all the California shows + Vegas. I'm at the arena now killing time because my hotel is a stone's throw away. I walked around to the back and Neil appeared on his motorcycle. There was another guy riding along side of him on another motorcycle. Very very cool. Sound check is starting now.

    Exit Stage Left

Hi, I'm new here. Forgive me if this has been discussed elsewhere. Has anyone ever seen the entire Exit Stage Left concert? Does it even exist? We've all seen the video and we all know it doesn't include the entire show. I'd love to see The Camera Eye, Vital Signs, Witch Hunt, Spirit of Radio, and the others excluded from the released version. Thanks....
  16. This album, as well as every Rush album that proceeded CA represents them and where they were at that time. They could have never written this album in 1981. They needed 55 + years of life experience. Listen to Moving Pictures and Clockwork Angels back to back. You'll hear how far they have come in every sense; musically, lyrically, emotionally, spiritually and maturity. You can hear the miles and 30 years that separate the two records. 2112, Moving Pictures, Clockwork Angels. 3 significant chapter headings of their journey. The end of The Garden reminds me of the end of Abbey Road in a way. I think it's the end of something remarkable. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. Mine is, CA is their greatest body of work, and their last. There is something about this record. It is absolutely genius, exceptional, highly representative of them and their style. I do believe that when we look back decades from now, this will be considered their Sgt Pepper. The greatest thing they ever did. Amazing that a band can have a 40 year career, 20 studio albums, and produce their greatest achievement at the end rather than the beginning or middle of it all. How could they ever do something better than CA? My gut is, they're going to go out on this high note. Not sure how long they can play night after night for 3 hrs. Has anyone heard Geddy's voice on the Time Machine DVD? They can't do it night after night for 2 years like they could in the past. I bought tickets to 6 concerts on this tour because I fear it may be their last. They are 60 years old. This tour will last until the end of 2013. What are they going to do? Write and record and release an album in 2014 and then tour again for two years? Nope. This is it folks. Enjoy it. It will be incredibly sad to me when they're done. They've been with me my entire life. Every chapter of my life coincides with a chapter of their incredible library. I don't want it to end. Maybe we'll get lucky and they'll continue to record even if they are not touring. Maybe they'll release records and play 1,2, or 3 big shows per year. It will end, as things do. How lucky are we the fans, that all 3 are still alive? None of them burnt out, declined, drugged out, or left the band. There's no infighting that leads to turmoil. Look at KISS. What are they holding onto? How embarrassing that they get up on stage with two sidemen wearing Ace and Peter's makeup. They should have closed shop long ago. Not our 3 boys. I love them. I am so thankful for what they've done and for what their music has brought to my life.
