  1. I know I am right - they are not done. They are better than they ever were. They are bigger than they ever were. They are having more fun than they ever had. Don't you think they know all of this? They are not stupid. They aren't walking now. Neil said he felt better seeing how well his daughter handled the tour. They love to play. That's who they are. They aren't stopping now. By the way, no one in Rush ever said they were done. The press release stated this could be the last tour of this magnitude. There will be another album. There will be another tour. There may be a week in NY or a week in Vegas. Their last official show will be in Canada. They will market the hell out of it. How many farewell tours were announced by Kiss, Elton, The Who, Cher, and others? Rush didn't even announce it as a farewell tour. There will be farewell tour t shirts and all kinds of hoopla when the time comes. You'll see and you'll remember that I was right.
  2. He donated it to the Canadian National Archives. No. He donated his black double neck. That's not the bass I asked about. I asked why is touring with a burgundy 4001 instead of his black 4001.
  3. Don't foget, Geddy also has 5,000 bottles of wine and an insane amount of baseballs. His collector gene is not limited to basses.
  4. The collector's gene is a problem. When I see people who collect things and obsess over it, it makes no sense to me, whether it be baseball cards, antiques, cars, etc. How many Porsche's does Seinfeld have? I guess if you can afford it, God bless. But what about those who can't and do it anyway? It's a sickness.
  5. I was at the San Jose concert last night. There were two different fiesta red basses "and" a candy apple red. He didn't play the flamey red bass that was used on the last few tours. Although he played 2 different white basses, neither was the white one used on the last tour. Nor did he play the sonic blue bass used for the Garden last tour. He also played the black one that has the dark pick guard. He played his favorite black jazz for only 3 songs. I thought the first fiesta red bass he played was the best sounding bass of the entire night. It's the one that has some wear on it, and it's shown on that new video on Quello that gives a tour of his basses. In my opinion the worst sounding bass was the white thunderbird. The bottom completely dropped out. The brown thunderbird sounded way better. I loved the Hofner and sunburst Rick. They sounded great, as did his maroon Rick. Anyone know why he chose to leave his famous black Rick at home? I wish he would have played it. The lake placid blue and the shoreline gold basses rounded out the night. The gold one sounded amazing. The lake placid blue was only used for Subdivisions. The paisley was cool too. I can tell he likes that Zematis, but it looked heavy and uncomfortable for him. Alex was playing a 60 LP. Anyone know if that was a reissue or a real '60?
  6. This is not the end. No one has confirmed that. There will be more Rush concerts after this tour.
  7. I've said it 1000 times. This is not the end. There will be one more album and a marketable frenzied farewell tour. They will not miss an opportunity to cash in.
  8. New World Man is one of my favorite Rush songs, as well as Vital Signs. Both were allegedly written on the fly in the studio at the end of the sessions to fill more time. I have no clue why they are playing Subdivisions on this tour when they just played it for the entire Clockwork Angels tour. They should have played New World Man instead. If they really wanted a great Signals track, I would have loved to see them play Digital Man.
  9. I don't think it's sonic blue. I think it is actually white. His sonic blue is the one he got for the CA tour. He played it for the Garden.
  10. So, just so I'm clear, he is NOT playing his famous black Ricky that was his number one for so many years? WTF? Why isn't he playing it? At least we got to see it for Bangcock in 2007.
  11. Is his Jet Glo Ric a 77? Didn't he have it earlier than 77? Or did he leave the original home and bring a different one on tour? Anyone here remember seeing a natural Ric that was always photographed? You can see it in the Moving Pictures videos shot at Le Studio. Also, he's photographed with a white double neck in the MP tour book.
  12. Where and when did Rush announce this is it?? They didn't. They said this could be the last tour of this magnitude. This means many different things. What they did NOT say is that this is the end.
  13. I guarantee that this is not the end. If it was a farewell tour they'd be billing it as such. There will be lots of press and hoopla and aggressive marketing. This is an anniversary tour. Let's celebrate it and all they've given us instead of worrying about if this is the end. And when it is the end, we must let them go in peace. No complaints. They have given all of themselves to the music, their fans and the road for more than 40 years. They've earned the right to retire gracefully.
  14. - no go to eBay and you'll see it. It's called an ES-Les Paul. They are brand new. They come in white, wine red, black, and cherry sunburst. It is like a Les Paul Standard with F holes. It weighs like 5 lbs. really cool.
  15. We'll soon see. You don't know any more than I know. We are all speculating.
  16. None of us knows what songs will be played. I think everyone can agree on the "guaranteed" - those are...... Working Man, 2112/Temples, Xanadu, La Villa, Spirit of Radio, Free Will, Tom Sawyer, Red Barchetta, YYZ, Limelight, Subdivisions, Time Stand Still, Stick it Out.....they won't play anything from Vapor Trails. Probably 2 tracks off CA such as Headlong Flight or BU2B. There won't be any new songs. I hope they don't play any keyboard dominated songs from the mid 80s. We heard enough of them on the last tour. Let's all just be thankful they are playing. Who really cares what they play? I'll be happy to be there. If this isn't the last tour, the next one will be for sure. Once they're done for good, we're all fu**ed! It will be a sad day for this fan. I've seen every tour since Permanent Waves. I love them. Sad to see it coming to an end. I think these last few years R30, Snakes, Time Machine, and CA, they have been better than ever. Top of their game.
  17. In 2012 I walked around to the back of the arena (San Jose) in the mid afternoon out of sheer boredom. My hotel was nearby and I had nothing to do while waiting for showtime. I was talking with some of the road crew and Neil pulled up on his red motorcycle along with his riding companion. I didn't even bother attempting to acknowledge him because I know he hates that whole thing. So, I was surprised when he nodded his head at me with a friendly gesture of hello. He seems happy when he's on his bike or hiking. He was much taller than I ever realized. I would love to meet Ged and Al. Would love to ask each of them what their favorite Rush song is.
  18. I started trying to get VIP Gold for San Jose at the exact second they became available. Not only were there no gold, there was no silver. How could all of them been sold in seconds? The best seat they offered me was halfway back of the arena on the side. How could all of those seats been sold so quick? My guess is they held them back for the brokers at a premium price. Really shitty to do that to the fans.
  19. Hi, can you tell me if the VIP ticket includes a meet and greet? If not, can someone tell me how to purchase a meet and greet ticket? Thanks.

  21. Here's mine not necessarily in this order: Fly by night 2112, Temples Xanadu La Villa Strangiato Spirit of Radio Freewill Tom Sawyer Red Barchetta Vital Signs Digital Man New World Man Time Stand Still Chain Lighting Scars Presto Roll the Bones Animate Double Agent Test for Echo Vapor Trail Nocturne Armor and Sword Far Cry We Hold On BU2B Clockwork Angels Headlong Flight
  22. I wish I could give more details. I know very little other than they were taken at the Whisky A Go Go in Los Angeles right after Neil joined.
