  1. Voted for Iron Man. As much as I love BOC, I'm not too keen on the song Gojira...I mean Godzilla lol.
  2. 1.Alice in Chains - Facelift 2. Cathedral - The Ethereal mirror. 3.Type O Negavtive - Bloody Kisses 4/5/6: Sister double happiness - Uncut, Horsey Water, Heart & Mind 7. Megadeth - Rust in Peace 8. Danzig - Lucifuge 9. Danzig - Danzig 4 10. Rush - Counterparts
  3. I remember hearing The Pass and almost being moved to tears. Powerful. Beautiful. I loved pretty much the whole album immediately with the exception of War Paint and Superconductor.
  4. Yeah mate seeing Phil Rudd and Mark Evans there was beautiful. http://www.acdc-germany.de/rock/history/history.jpg
  5. For anyone interested, a news article about Malcolm's funeral service: https://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/entertainment/music/acdc-guitarist-malcolm-young-farewelled-at-sydneys-st-marys-cathedral/news-story/f420c99d223ab3db19cbcde9a1545030 Seeing Angus carrying Malcolm's guitar sure brought out the feels.
  6. An old clip of Bon where he mentions Rush, KISS and UFO. Just ignore the dickhead interviewer Molly Meldrum. Bon "tell me the bass players name from Kiss"... Interviewer {mumbling} " I don't know".
  7. So hard to decide but in the end: 1. Perfect Strangers. 2. Fireball 3. In rock + Machine head tied for third place.
  8. Here's a more recent show Goose: If you're ever in Australia, check them out. Crappy YT vids don't do them justice.
  9. If anyone is interested, here's a video of my favourite AC/DC tribute band. I go see these guys play live as often as possible. Great show and really nice bunch of guys.
  10. To give all of you non-Australian forum members an idea of just how important Malcolm Young was to Australia: If you look at the DNA of any Australian born after 1974 under a microscope......it's held together by a Malcolm Young riff. Rock in Peace Mal.
  11. I love his cover of Subdivisions, but as much as I try to like it...I'm not a fan of this cover. It sounded like "Time Stand Still" on sedatives. For me it doesn't have the 'emotional intensity' of the original.
  12. Voted for Blackmore. I'm a Blackmore fan-boy until the day I die. I love Alex, Hendrix, SRV but IMO Blackmore defeats all. Technique. Musicality. Song output. Composition. Improvisation. Tone. Melody. Leads. Riffs. Attitude. Bad-assness. Blackmore has all the bases covered.
  13. Gary Floyd. Exposed to you: Take my troubles away:
  14. So many great guitarists to choose from, but for me no one equals Ritchie Blackmore.
  15. 4 stars. For some reason I love this song. It gives me tingles. Going to listen to it right now.
  16. {Puts on flame suit} Hold Your Fire and Slippery When Wet were both released in 1987. Rush would have killed to have had as much success with HYF as Bon Jovi did with SWW. Too bad HYF was a stinker that turned fans away whilst SWW was a mega-success that still sounds good. However, Rush made magnificent albums after Hold Your Fire, whilst Bon Jovi made...heck I wouldn't have a clue!
  17. No thanks It was bad enough when Rush went all new-wave lol
  18. Looks like a great read for all the bass-playing Rush fans. Come to think of it, looks like a great read for all Rush fans.
