  1. So Rush is finally done. Thank fark I saw them on their Farewell Tour (AKA R40) :haz:
  2. "With a better singer (such as Freddie Mercury or Paul Rodgers) Rush could be one of the biggest bands in the world". Signed Ray Daniels . :P
  3. So many great vocalists to choose from... I predict Freddie Mercury will get the overall win. After much deliberation I voted for old 'Iron Lungs' Graham Bonnet.
  4. Billy Gibbons did an intimate show close to my home town. Played some songs, talked about his life and cars etc. Apparently it was so bad people demanded their money back Here's a blues rock trio to consider.... 1974. From Canada. Geddy Lee - Bass Alex Lifeson - guitar John Rutsey - drums. Kinda sound like Cream meets Janis Joplin meets Led Zeppelin :P
  5. I wore an Alcatrazz shirt to a Yngwie Malmsteen concert.
  6. Hi Earl I absolutely love SRV and Double Trouble, but I can't forget about Reese Wynans on keyboard. Which rules them out as my favourite Blues Rock trio. So I'm voting 'other'. Johnny Winter Band featuring: Johnny Winter - guitar. Jon Paris - Bass and harmonica Bobby Torello drums.
  7. TBH I was expecting much worse from Gene and Paul. The truly cringe-worthy behaviour and talk came from Eric Singer. That guys seems to believe he actually is Peter Criss
  8. There is a huge lightning storm happening as I type this. It can be only one thing... Motorhead are rocking the sh*t out of Valhalla :haz: :haz: :haz:
  9. All these worst songs are proof that, as great as Rush surely is (was?) there sure have crafted some stinkers. Maybe the producers were too afraid to say anything?
  10. My sentiments exactly lol!
  11. 1. Freewill 2. Entre nous 3. Spirit of radio 4. Natural science 5. Jacob's ladder 6. Different strings Pretty much close to musical perfection IMO. Freewill was the first Rush song to blow my mind. Entre Nous was the first Rush song to make my heart go all 'fuzzy'.
  12. Hard choice but went with The Trooper.
  13. 9.5/10 IMO Take off The Big Money and it's pretty much perfect IMO.
  14. I changed my vote from Rivendell to Red Lenses. Although Rivendell bores my sh*tless, Red Lenses is one of the few Rush songs I loathe.
  15. I consider the 70's the greatest decade of rock music, so a list of the 15 best albums is close to impossible! My 'list' is therefore: 70's AC/DC 70's Deep Purple 70's Black Sabbath 70's Rush 70's Rainbow
  16. I don't mind some of those 'worst songs' tbh I think I'm going bald = Great old school, catchy rock riff. Emotion detector = Majestic. Beautiful guitar work from Alex and Geddy's voice is in fine form. Speed of love = I know this song is hated around here, but I think it sh*ts on some of the more revered songs. Such as The Garden.
  17. The Masters of Reality - The Blue Garden.
  18. "I'm on the Night Train, bottoms up!".
  19. {Throws guitar and amp in the bin} That was freaking amazing
  20. Child in Time for an easy win. Blackmore is God.
  21. Great cover. :haz: Would have been even better had it been filmed at Le Studio :smoke:
  22. So many greats to choose from it's near impossible to name a favourite. 1. Blackmore 2. SRV 3. Malcolm Young
