Anyone else think Pearts best drumming was during the synth years?

I listen to MFH a lot more than SA. I think the songs are stronger and the mix is much better. IMO Runaway train is one of the best songs I have ever heard.

I god damn love My Favourite headache. I think of it as a Rush album - without Alex or Neil playing on the album.

I still remember sitting on my lounge room floor wearing headphone listening to Freewill for the first time. [Head explodes]

If I ain't listening to Rush I'm listening to Deep Purple or Blue Oyster Cult.

I love it! It's like Neil is telling the Alex and Geddy "get ready boys. Shit's about to get real...".

I think Geddy well and truly shines on CA. I also think Alex needs to pull back on the heaviness a bit and do more of his arpeggio work. Overall I love the album - just nit picking

Here's an unpopular opinion: Many bands have come and gone throughout my life - Danzig, Alice in Chains, Jane's Addiction, the list goes on. But one band has stayed, Rush. You could say Rush has been the soundtrack to my life. Neil's lyrics have inspired me. Alex and Geddy's music has left me awestruck. These guys have been my heroes for over 20 years now.

I'd sell my soul to have Rush tour Australia. My head would explode in excitement. All we can do is hope.

They need to send Alex down to do media and kick up some interest in this backwater country. TV presenter "and now, from Canada...a band that has sold millions of albums and sold out arenas around the world [whilst Australia has been listening to John Farnham]...here's Rush!".

Yep...except Power Windows! Oh man, Power Windows LP cranking on an old record player is heaven to me.

Rush will never surpass the production on Counterparts imo. Best. Production. Ever.

I agree, it is (in my opinion) their finest work so far. Soaring indeed. Like all my favourite things Rush, it took me several listens to 'get it'. Now I can't get enough. All the songs (especially Carnies and Clockwork angels) make me remember why I love those 3 Canadians so damn much!

I can't see them touring. Why would they? Leave us to our John Farnham's and Barnesy's [jumps off cliff].

Based on the 3 songs I've heard so far, I still like Counter Parts more than Clockwork Angels (I love the Counter Parts mix) but who knows how that may change after CA is released?

BU2B. The change from the main verse riff to the chorus melody is brilliant. Having said that I don't think the songs match the overall greatness of Far Cry - that song kicks major ass.

'No one here in Australia would know who Rush is" I'm Australian (from near Sydney) and I love Rush (been my favourite band for 20 years. Glad to see I'm not alone. Too bad they will never tour here
