  1. I just checked out all of the songs (although not completely) for that show and the sound isn't bad at all, quite good. Geddy sounded really good (he was 30 years younger). What was really nice though is that the crowd obviously knew almost every song (ahhh...the good olde days) 'cuz when each song started they all gave out big cheers. Nice posting, thanks.
  2. I figure if something like that existed, somebody, at some time, here or on another board would have found it and maybe not shared it, but it would at the very least be known of. I saw it doesn't exist....But what do I know.
  3. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w3bB2IkBHiE That's great!!!!
  4. I almost listed that one! Can't say I remember too many songs on the album, but I know I spent hours staring at the cover as a kid! (Listening to it now. Coming right back to me...The title track is theme to the Dating Game, yes?) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VFgKIz1SrlI Yes, it is The Dating Game theme...But I had to look it up 'cuz I had no memories of the songs...just that album cover.
  5. I suppose many of these could be counted as my "Trapped on a deserted island records" but not all, and as the title says, albums that changed my life...so here goes and some for no particular reason, but they had a significant impact somehow. Queen - A Night At The Opera...Used to sneak it out of my older sisters record collection to listen to Bohemian Rhapsody (a song I loath now) but it was the first rock record I ever knew. Saturday Night Fever...Such a huge record in its day it was the first time I really appreciated the productions of the music. Star Wars...Besides being a complete SW nerd, the music was fantastic and was the first time I really learned to appreciate symphonic music. AC/DC - Back In Black...One of the first Rock Records I ever owned. The Doors - The Doors Greatest Hits...The first record I knew note for note. 2112...My first RUSH record. Pink Floyd - The Wall...Gotta love it. The Smashing Pumpkins - Siamese Dream...Prol'y burned up 5 copies of that CD. Vince Guaraldi Trio - A Charlie Brown Christmas...Could listen to this forever. Marillion - Misplaced Childhood...A really important record in my life when it came out. Herb Alperts Tijuana Brass - Whipped Cream and Other Delights... Prol'y why I prefer brunettes. Signals... The one that reached out a grabbed that nerve that forms what records like that do, when you are a teenager.
  6. I happen to love Signals, it's probably my second fave RUSH album behind E...SL. But I think the reviewer is right on in his descriptions. Taking out all of the disparaging words, he's dead accurate. If you can just eliminate them from the review it's not half bad. He just happens to have been like many, many fans at the time who didn't like the drastic change to such a heavily keyboard laden record.
  7. The only reason nobody is talking about is that nobody other than us has seen it, 'cuz if anybody had seen it they would be talking about it. This is gonna be one of those shows that everyone is going to scramble to once the first season is long over and the accolades for Harrelson and McConaughey start pouring in like Niagra Falls on steroids. It probably won't be until June or July that people are going to realize they missed something great 'cuz True Detective is gonna clean house at the Emmy's this year. I love this show and am really bummed that there are only two episodes left, but at the same time realize that if it went longer it would eventually suck...like Lost, and American Boring Story. I don't know what the future plans are for the show and don't really care, 'cuz there is never gonna be another season like this even if it runs for 20 years. I feel we are getting a real gem here, the kind that only comes around once and we are the lucky few who get to enjoy it, now. And a few months from now when others start asking," Have you seen that show True Detective? You know the one Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConaughey won all those awards for." We can say yes we have and that they are really, really late for the party....suckers. Can't wait to see what happens, but don't want it to end.
  8. Really like these shows after the prison BS.
  9. That is some really good work. Sums it up pretty well. I don't agree with it all but when it's all said and done I'd agree with most of it. :haz:
  10. Because there would be more people in line to go to the restrooms than there would be seated in the theater.
  11. Could not even tell you the decade I last listened to ASOH.
  12. As a really small kid Archie scared me. You'll never see anything like AITF again.
  13. My mom is gonna be 87 in a month and my dad is 81. I never thought I would get so nervous any time the phone rings now...but I do.
  14. Fallon is AWESOME!!! As AncientWays said, Leno is corny and unfunny (has he EVER been funny???!!!) Whereas Fallon is hugely talented and hilarious. I am so glad that bit stealing, never was funny, never is funny, never will be funny Leno is gone and hopefully for good this time. Don't let the door hit ya in the chin Leno you cuntt (to quote Ducky). Good riddance!!! It's a great day at the 11:30 time slot, finally somebody worth watching!!!
  15. http://sharetv.com/images/true_detective-show.jpg Any body watching this HBO show? It's only aired 4 episodes of 8 and man it's good!!! Harrelson is great and McConaughey is awesome....These two guys are absolutely GREAT on this show. McConaughey and Harrelson are two, just paired together, Louisianna State cops in the CID who are investigating the ritualistic murder of a prostitute in 1995. They have nothing in common and don't really like each other but this is no buddy, buddy cop show. It's dark and mysterious and each cop has his own skeletons in his closet which are slowly revealed throughout the episodes as they unravel what happened. But all of that is told in flashbacks as the show also takes place in 2012 where Harrelson and McConaughey have moved on in their lives and not spoken since 2002 but are being questioned by other Louisianna cops as a murder similar to the one they worked on in '95 has occurred...Did either of them have anything to do with it? Don't know yet. The show so far hasn't been terribly remarkable in it's originality, but it's no rehashing of any other cop story either, and it's not action packed, no car chases or gun fights or bar room brawls so far, just a lot of drama, great story telling, good mystery and top notch performances by both Harrelson and McConaughey...These guys are really great in this show. If you get the chance by all means check this show out!!! Here's a link to the trailer. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TXwCoNwBSkQ
  16. But then we'd never hear the end of "Where's Carl"?
  17. I'm going to have to call complete BS here in regards to your self proclaimed nerdliness. A true nerd would never forsake his nerdocity for something as nonsensical as chasing tail. ;)
  18. For a second I thought I might have posted this except for the robotics and the video games you played.
