    Great reaction vid

Damn i was just going to say this
  2. Love it if, in one of these vids Al would get an acoustic out and play broins bane or something. A bit like Brian May was doing not so long ago with Queen stuff
  3. Surely those flipper thingies could've been shaped as Al and Ged's guitars
  4. Has inspired me to get Victor out again first time in a little while. Proper Alex Lifeson from Rush stuff isn't it. Looking forward to this new album mindyou
  5. Power Windows and Moving Pictures are my goto feel-good rush albums, they just have a happy feel about them whereas most others more of a dark edge
  6. Ok.. kinda better on today's listen. BU2B was kinda like that, wasnt too enamoured with it at first, became one of my all-time favs.nit saying this'll reach anywhere near same heights but better now, much more to it.
  7. Pretty much the same sound all the way through, once you hear the first 10 seconds that's it
  8. I'm very upset seeing Alex so fat. I'm depressed. Yep, far too big. Not good to see.
  9. Al looks bigger than usual there around the midriff
  10. He's been doing this for a while but it always got overshadowed by Rush. Seems to be really enjoying himself. Yeah as mentioned if he happy is enough for me, man doesnt need to do another thing for rest of us gave so much. Only track he contributed to by another artist that really hit spot for me was porcupine tree's anaesthetize, which was brilliant
  11. If Al happy doodling around on other people's stuff then i'm happy but if no Rush then all i'm interested in is material he has a large degree of control over, preferably what's classed as solo. That cherry Lopez thing was great, this 'I have seen the way' thing another doodle from the great man imo but sure you guitarists out there will drool over it. Me,just happy he happy.
  12. Surprised no-one mentioned I Have Seen The Way yet is out there on YT etc

    Rush puzzle

Creative but no :) Ok i'll narrow it down, the album it's on is.. Moving Pictures And remember it just sounds like the muppet-in-question's name as he sings it. The lyric isn't the actual name.

    Rush puzzle

don't think so bud but, just to be clear, the word ged sings just sounds like the muppet in question when he sings it and isn't spelt like the muppet's name.

    Rush puzzle

Not posted a topic on here for a while and was wondering what to post when i heard Geddy sing on a track what sounds like the name of a very prominent character in The Muppets. I mean that wasn't the word he sang but it sounds like it sort-of-thing. Anyway, that's the puzzle - what muppet character can you hear ged sing, in what is one of the band's most beloved tracks actually. Must say what track is on too, no random guesses please.
  19. la Villa always been my rush christmas tune (if you imagine xmas bells in the intro it nails it) but i think cherry lopez going to be it this year
  20. There's nothing in the lyrics of Vapor Trail that points to 9/11 anymore than it points to the tragic events of Neil's life. Also, Rush is under zero obligation to explain the meaning of their work. More than many other bands, I think they've always tended to let the music and the lyrics speak for themselves. The fact that this new article doesn't give any indication of VT's art being about 9/11 makes me doubt the possibility, as well as the fact that those two black bars weren't included on the remix album cover. You're free to interpret things however you like, but without any real evidence, it's just a theory. dude, who cares about the remixed version or this new article, we talkin bout the original release, when it was released, at the time it was released, 9/11 was just too big for the band to ignore, hugh syme produced this abstract image in the heat of the event, the band appreciated it but had to be subliminal to an extent, they couldnt be seen to be capitalising on 9/11 in any way hence no-one admitted to it but f*ck it, you open that image out with the fireball at top and no doubt, no doubt AT ALL, represents the WTC on 9/11
