  1. QUOTE (USB Connector @ Jul 4 2012, 10:32 PM) Being Canadian, I am disappointed that we don't have amazing heroes like these: Abe Lincoln: http://i.imgur.com/1dSYc.jpg Thomas Jefferson: http://i.imgur.com/gRLAH.jpg Teddy Rooseveldt: http://i.imgur.com/PXeQa.jpg George Washington: http://i.imgur.com/TAITC.jpg Ronald Reagan: http://i.imgur.com/BkRXk.jpg Ben Franklin: http://i.imgur.com/bPGkW.jpg Paul Revere: http://i.imgur.com/atlZ0.jpg Jesus I love this artist.

Not after 42 pages of love and tolerance. Oh, & Godot, how was the con? I heard there was a fire. It wasn't really "on fire" One of the light fixtures had something wrong with it, and the plastic covering of it started melting and the molten plastic fell. The security actually did a very good job of dealing with it. That's good, perhaps I'll see you guys there next year I'll definitely be there again. Everyone there was so kind. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dm1jxC-xtyY
  4. This is likely the longest interview Colbert has ever done. And the longest questions I've ever seen him ask. And the fewest interruptions.
  5. QUOTE (beherit @ Jul 1 2012, 03:25 AM) QUOTE (Union 5-3992 @ Jun 30 2012, 10:21 PM) Never fiddled with the stuff, been straight edge for my 18 year existence. I have absolutely no problem with those who do, I've always been a bit curious about this product. I did have to pass my first opportunity for I had graduation the next day, I didn't want to fudge that up. smoking the day before an event will not mess up the event Well it was midnight before Graduation......I wasn't going to anything that night. I'd rather do it when I have nothing important going on.
  6. I'm getting a bit tired of these topics.
  7. Been 80 outside all week. Weather's just fine here.
  8. QUOTE (LeaveMyThingAlone @ Jul 4 2012, 04:16 PM) I agree. And someone should start a "I hate Clockwork Angels thread" and the same 10 people that keep bringing it up can all bask in their dislike of the album together, while earnestly comparing their notes and giving each other high fives. Let's not feed an argument. Not everybody has to like the album. Let 'em be. I'm easily placing Clockwork Angles in my Top Ten Rush Album (of no particular order). I didn't like it much at first, but it clicked after the third listen. It is an album that continues to grow on me the more I hear it. I've already heard it probably 25 times now and I still like it a bit more each time. It is definitely one of their best.

  10. fdxcc, jhtrdakhfvbnhGI've lived in darkness a long time. Over the years my eyes adjusted until the dark became my world and I could see. But then Rudy turned on the light. He flooded my memory and now I'm blind. I don't have much time- or, to be more accurate, my sister doesn't have much time. He wants me to find them, but where do I look? I can't think, it's too brightfdw23edsaqweumm
  11. I'd say both are pretty damn good, but CA takes the cake. I love S&A, but CA has a nicer flow and the songs are better, but that doesn't detract from S&A at all.
  12. QUOTE (The Owl @ Jul 2 2012, 12:07 PM) Not a bad experience persay...but another negative aspect of having a general admission ticket.... I saw Opeth last october, the show was amazing, and with a general admission ticket I got up pretty much front and center....but as with general admission goes you don't wanna leave the spot once you have it...so I didnt go to the merch stand until after the show, and when I did they were sold out of tour shirts in my size....bummer Welcome to the "great shows with very slight detractions thus making them our worst experience, but not really since they were pretty damn good" club.
  13. QUOTE (pedro2112 @ Jul 4 2012, 12:09 AM) QUOTE (Rick N. Backer @ Jul 3 2012, 09:15 AM) The kids are away for a few days, so my wife and I saw it last night. I should point out that having lived all but 4 years of my 44 in and around Boston, it nails people from the area. It is, without a doubt, the dumbest movie story ever created. However, it is also one of the most laugh out loud funny movies I have ever seen. Criticism: Mark Wahlberg, who I liked in Boogie Nights and Rock Star, is not good at potraying knuckleheads from Boston's neighborhoods because he overdoes it. He is one of those knuckleheads, frankly, making this all the more surprising. He's funny in this movie though. He was absolutely hilarious in "The Other Guys." Agreed
  14. QUOTE (treeduck @ Jul 3 2012, 06:34 PM) QUOTE (Union 5-3992 @ Jul 3 2012, 05:29 PM) QUOTE (treeduck @ Jul 3 2012, 05:55 PM) I was convinced this was a joke thread... Not after 42 pages of love and tolerance. Oh, & Godot, how was the con? I heard there was a fire. 42 pages of madness... As I've asked before, give the show a chance if you have not already. Try an episode or two, form an opinion and you may help contribute to 42 more pages of madness

  16. QUOTE (Mr. IsNot @ Jul 3 2012, 02:08 AM) Just kidding - it's just a half decent modern cartoon that isn't worthwhile at all unless you want to be part of an ironic attention-seeking cult. There's the truth of the matter. There are quite a few "hipster" bronies, but quite a few genuinely like the show. I'm one of them. Though I may appear to be an obsessed raving lunatic at the moment, my flirtation with the series is quite casual. Though I do go through a period of obsession, but I do that with lots of shows and music, Breaking Bad, Clockwork Angels, Dexter, etc. That's usually when you find me posting stuff here.
  17. I'm amazed by Tara's body of work outside of MLP. Such a massive history.
  18. If it is, it is, and forever. It's impossible to tell. It looks like they still enjoy playing and recording so they could always go for another album or two. But they are getting up there in age so they may become rather limited. If they're limited, they'd likely retire. Clockwork Angels would be a hell of an album to close on, especially with The Garden. Just let things go and see what happens. [/thread] no more to say now. Just leave it as a mystery for now.
  19. QUOTE (J2112YYZ @ Jul 2 2012, 10:03 PM) QUOTE (PolarizeMe @ Jul 2 2012, 01:40 PM) QUOTE (metaldad @ Jul 2 2012, 10:05 AM) Just a few hrs away now I'm so pumped and ready for the show tonight, I've been listening to nothing but Maiden and Alice Cooper today! I never listen to the band i'm going to see on the day of the show. To me, that ruins the concert experience for later and I really don't understand why people do that? Listening to a song that the band is gonna play on the day of the show would ruin the concert experience for me. How special is the song gonna be live if you just heard it a few hours ago at home, on the way to the show or in the parking lot? I don't know, maybe i'm just weird I figured the same thing. I listen to them a bit a few days before, but not the day of the show. Porcupine Tree day on the 16th
  20. QUOTE (SchemingDemon @ Jul 2 2012, 02:55 AM) I mentioned Rush to my coworker the other day and she said "oh, you mean like Big Time Rush?" I was Spotify does the same thing to me.
  21. Jesus, I just read the ending to "My Little Dashie" with "The Garden" playing......
