  1. I thought it was interesting that they said this would be more of a concept album than anything else they've done in a long time (paraphrasing). If so would lead me to believe that the entire first set could be the entire album (why else do a concept album other than to tell a sequential story). Could be really cool. Other than that my wish list; Jacobs Ladder, All of Cygnus X-1, Analog Kid, Main Monkey Business (really liked it live). Some stuff they haven't one in a while. What I'd like to see retired: Tom Sawyer, Spirit Of Radio, 2112 overture. They looked a little bored playing it for the millionth time. But, I think what would be best is to see them play what they love to play, and not just what they think people want to hear.
  2. Let's see...if I were in my late 50's, playing better than I have in my entire life, arguably as popular or perhaps even more popular than I'd been in my whole career, and still putting old and new asses in the seats why would I think even about quitting? That'd be nuts. Honestly, its not like they have a super difficult lifestyle. Chartered private planes, finest accomodations that can be had, all the family and friends I have as close or distant as I want, golf wherever whenever, riding wherever whenever. What they could do is work like Metallica..one week on working every other day, following week home (or wherever). Why would you ever stop unless people stopped showing up, or you were physically unable? I think if they stopped they'd miss it quickly.
  3. Not if, but WHEN the get inducted, the BEST thing they could do to express how we all about the RRHOF is: SEND RICKY, JULIAN AND BUBBLES TO THE INDUCTION CEREMONY ON THEIR BEHALF!!!!
  4. Went with my 12 year old Rush fanatic son and my even more fanatical 14 year Geddycorn daughter. His 2nd show, her first! A real family bonding evening, for sure. Call it good parenting. Don't want to be redundent to what folks have said above. Agree with all. Just a few personal observastions/experiences to share: BiLo Center was the smallest and probably most intimate venue I have seen them in since the Olympic Center in Lake Placid 1984. Fantastic facility made even better by such a great performance by such a A list band in what is arguably their prime. They all seemed so much more relaxed and comfortable than when we saw them in Greensboro. Kind of obvious since they have doing the show for two months, and were coming back after 10 days off. I've never seen Neil hit the skins so hard with such fluidity. Alex was classic Alex in his best form. Just my opinion, but I thought they played their newest and most rarely played material the best. Was never Presto or Faithless fan, but am now. It was something to see. BU2B and Caravan were simply incredible. Stuff from S and A had a much harder edge, more intensity. First time I've been close enough to actually see what was going on around the stage and thought it was very interesting how they actually WORK. They work VERY hard to make it look so easy as all of The Best do. Early in Tom Sawyer Ged's earphones wend out and he was visibly PISSED he couldn't hear. I'm no lip reader but I had NO problem understanding him say to Lyrst "Can't F&%king hear anything!" His voice was understandably a little off for a couple songs while it was out. He made up for it by taking his frustrations out on the intensity of his bass playing. During the Bass solo during Red Barchetta it looked and sounded like he tried to literally tear the strings off. Talk about turining Lemons into lemonaide! When it was done all I wanted was for them to start all over again from the beginning. My daughter will be a Rush fan for life!
