It was my first Rush gig in over 30 years! All the memories of my youth came back to me. I know we're all older now but things just are'nt the same anymore, never thought the world would be in such a bad state as it's in now. Rush are in their twilight years now and there's nobody to replace them, todays music is garbage, that's what makes me sad!

I must admit, when the opening of SOR started I felt pretty emotional. I did well up a little, then I thought "your a grown man with your son watching, get a f...ing grip you big Jessie". Then I was fine, something about Rush that gets me emotionally, don't know what it is?
  3. I was going to go at the last minute today but er indoors put her foot down! I'm bored stiff, gone upstairs to play the setlist, life's a bitch!
  4. I wish he'd just get his old 'Rick' out again. Can't beat the sound of a 'Rick' !
  5. Are you guys doin the whole UK leg or summat?
  6. Reading redshifts take on the gig, I can imagine the sound was more or less the same as sheffield. I think there's an issue with Geddys sound actually. IMO he's got far too much bottom end nowadays, especially now he plays alot of chords. The whole sound just goes into a mish mash of noise!
  7. Good to hear you enjoyed it. Sheffield was my first rush gig for over 30 years, can't believe why I left it so long, they're so good live! What was Geddys sound like? On monday his bass was very muffled & boomy.
  8. Great review from the guardian, don't think the guy even went to tell the truth! Always irritates me how the media seems to enjoy slagging off rush but not other bands of the same generation. Maybe their musical knowledge don't stretch that far. BTW how many were at the Glasgow gig?
  9. Hi folks, first rush gig since 79' manchester apollo! Really enjoyed it although geddy's bass sounded terrible where I was, 2/3 rds back left. His bass was just booming all night, could'nt really hear a single thing he played and being a big geddy fan was really gutted! I went away from rush between GUP > Presto thought they were pretty weak albums, but I'm into the newer heavier stuff again. Feel like going to Newcastle now! Any body know if there are plenty tickets left? Keep Rockin'
