  1. Yeah, Pisces season is here again...Happy Birthday, Stormy!
  2. Cool interview from 1977. Bon mentions they go on tour with Kiss and Rush. Bon:...the guy, what's his name, tell me the bass players name from Kiss... Interviewer: I don't know. Bon: Karl, tell me the bass players name from Kiss, he's a popular guy... LOL http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rxJuhlryBb4
  3. Interesting - I often get ripped by friends and acquaintances for not downloading EVERYTHING. “Why are you even buying CDs in this day and age?” is the condescending question I’ve heard time and time again. I haven’t bothered answering the question in years. My brother. You live in the Mecca of Compact Disc Land. Never answer any of them. It's a proven audiophile commodity. I've been testing cd pressings since the 80's. The Japanese pressings are always superior. The United States has no clue and no interest in the quality of music audio. I love Steve Hoffman. He tried and did well. I love MFSL. They did well too. Mobile Fidelity. But Japan is the BEST!!!! Let the silly children of the modern age suffer from their own inept decisions with sound. The youth don't give a shit man. They just drone out to techno, hip hop and rap. Boring pop and mundane madness. Japan and Europe know their shit and I will always support the audiophile addicts. "Didacts & Narpets" I'm a great dad too man. All of my bases are covered. Your friends and ghosts in the night have no clue about music and true sound. Follow your own ears and your heart JB. I will always back you up. I’ll say this: those who have condescended (always western expats) with that question always enjoy music which I don’t. Not sure there’s a connection but that’s what sticks out. As far as age, they’re in their 20s and 30s. Well that makes sense dude. I just turned 52. I'm a dinosaur but my ears still work. I will always go for the SHM pressings. The BLU SPEC 2 Japan cds. The Millennials have f***ed up the world. Yet everyone blames global warming, or is it global change now? Who gives a shit. The world will always spin in cycles. I will listen to cds until I die. "We are only immortal for a limited time." Live life and fuckking HAVE FUN!!!!! I am soooooo glad I was born in 1968. I've done it all JB. I really want to have a RUSH FORUM KEG PARTY. It's on my "f**k It" List. RUSH ON! There is definitely a difference in the sound. If someone doesn’t notice it then maybe for them, that’s a good thing. I just know that the downloaded stuff they’ve played for me always sounds cheap, the sound quality that is. WTF are you both talking about??? If this is about mp3, I'm with you there... BUT, the lossless digital download stuff or HDTracks are way better in quality than the crappy CD's. It's simple math guys... CD's: 16 bit - 44,1 kHz Lossless Digital DL: 24 bit - up to 192 kHz Digital shite aside, if you wanna be an audiophile, get yourself a serious high-end turntable! You have mentioned this to me before. I'm a dinosaur dude who won't grow up either. I am stuck in my Stonehenge Age! I don't own a turntable, yet I do collect Japanese pressing vinyl. Earl, this is not about rocket science. It just means that you have more digital information in those lossless files. If you hear one of these over your stereo, you will never buy a CD again. Plus, CD's are not keepable forever. They lose parts of the digital content after some time. Fact!

  5. Appropriate Neil tribute - Check Cancer charity - Check RUSH logo - Check Scottish flag - Check I'm aboard! An XL please.
  6. I love that show from the Golders Green Hippodrome. They were on fire... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=95dxVE3adnQ
  7. If KK's Priest wasn't enough of a shock, now we have The Real Judas Priest! Seems like the kids in the Kindergarten were set free to play outside.
  8. It's not his tombstone. It's a memorial plaque located in Kirriemuir, Scotland, his birthplace. I took that pic on a vacation in 2008. Me and a friend were on a hiking tour through the Scottish Highlands and I had the idea to visit the place.
  9. Both are great, there is no doubt about that, but the music of Black Sabbath is implemented in my genes. Iommi it is!
  10. Are you confident that Downing can write good riffs and songs? Since it has become very common to pre-release a song or two, I think we will find out soon. Aye and it better be good! If not, Downing is definitely drowning and he will never be seen again. I just can't stop shaking my head about choosing that lame name.
  11. KK and the Victims of Changes, KK's Waterpower, KK Downing and the Drowning, KK and the Moonshine Band... Winner, winner! KK and the Moonshine band made me spit out my pie! :smoke:

  14. Well it's not the actual full name. The name that will be protected with be the Judas Priest name with the two words together and all the logos they have. The word priest could be used anywhere and there's not a lot that can be done to block it. And why should they even try? It's cheap promotion for both bands cause everybody in the business talks about them. He should have called it KK Downing's Run of the Steel Mill! And if it goes wrong KK Downing on Caviar and Meths...or just meths! Lol. Every other name is better than KK's Priest! What about KK and The Rage, KK's Metal Gods, KK's Invaders, KK's Green Manalishi's, KK's K's...

  16. Yeah, it's definitely Transylvania Goth! Album title is Kiss Of Judas. :smoke:
  17. Same. I know and appreciate the impact he had on rock guitar but I have never heard a song from Hendrix that I particularly cared for. little miss strange has been ran over by crosstown traffic in a purple haze on route to castles made of sand! ...where the wind cries Mary...
  18. I think you're GORGEOUS, Jamie, and your Parents have NO business telling you how to decorate yourself. I think you look fabulous! thank you so much! +1 what Orfie said! Your new avatar and signature pics are epic! :)
  19. Happy Birthday, Earl! Here's a song for you, released yesterday, coming straight out of El Cajon, San Diego, California baby... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hKCKKOgNkiY
  20. Definitely Alex. See the nice haircut on his arms. :smoke:
  21. :bump: Psychotic Waltz have released their first studio album in 24 years! What a comeback! Unique band with a unique sound! I'm on my first spin right now and it's raw, heavy, proggy, psychedelic, but catchy at the same time. Impressive album... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JsH-t9Aa_sQ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mXhoWwHMp5o
