  1. I think of them as a power trio with strong prog. tendencies. However, I think anything prog. has always appealed to males more than females for some reason.
  2. I discovered a whole bunch of new prog throughout 2012...Astra is a pretty cool band, but quite retro.
  3. Depending on your turntable, sometimes there are knobs on the arm that can be adjusted that can fix this. Sometimes people have been known to tape some coins on the arm (near the part where the needle is, but on top)...sometimes there is nothing you can do. On a side note, I have had a few albums in my life where there is a slight skip in one song that sounds weird when you finally hear it without the skip.
  4. Ok, I can understand hardcore fans blanking the comps, but you DO need Feedback. Come on Mara, that's one I didn't expect from you :o I notice a lot of Rush fans don't like Feedback, but I really quite like it. It took a while, but what a surprise!!
  5. Peter, I read that blog post of yours in late November or early December. Sounds perfectly legit to me. I think the honesty in it is a surprise to Rush fans for some reason. Neil has some very interesting friends and he is quite loyal...accepts friends worts and all.
  6. I don't own any of the compilations. I don't own the deluxe 2112 or the..what is it? MVI S&A, was it? However, I do own the Bob and Doug Makenzie album with Take Off on it, as well as the Max Webster album with Battle Scar on it!!
  7. Well, you can do a mashup of the We the Living Movie and add some 2112 tracks: http://wethelivingmovie.com/ I read the book over 15 years ago...it is better than 2112 the album
  8. Theoretically it is their last tour...heard it through the grapevine. Anyway, many in this thread say the thing that would stop them from touring is their health...well, do you think Alex and Neil are in perfect health? They couldn't both be in pain with tendinitis could they? Why would they tell their fans? The current tour is for their retirement fund.
