  2. Snakes & Arrows is a top 5 album for me. It's the only recording from the post-1993 period that is in my top 5 (although I liked Feedback, it's not really a Rush album).
  3. The synth era ended in 2015 with the R40 tour.
  4. The item I referenced earlier (NOT my auction!) sold for $290 including the buyer's premium: https://www.rrauction.com/bidtracker_detail.cfm?IN=642
  5. The COA is only as god as the issuing authority ... more often than not, the COA is not worth the paper it is printed on. In the case of the action I posted, I think the signatures are fine. Just kind of a shame to see signed items from the guys showing up in auctions. Bot, there is no law against selling items that one owns. Not that I've kept track of this, but why would these be showing up just now? Wouldn't they have been around for most of the last 40 years? Sure, they have been showing up for the last xxx years, but the ones showing up recently seem to be from the past few years where the band were signing items sent to the venues for shows -- their signatures changed some over the years. Unfortunately, many people have shared the fact that they received many multiples of signatures by sending items to venue after venue.
  6. Official Fake News: The next anniversary release will be ... wait for it ... 3 CDs and a bluray (live versions) of bands doing covers of "I Think I'm Going Bald". It will be awesome. :rush:
  7. I listened to the whole thing on Spotify. Good to be able to hear an official release of the entire live set.

  9. Starting to see some of the items signed by the boys on the past few tours showing up in auctions like this: https://www.rrauction.com/bidtracker_detail.cfm?IN=642 And no, this is NOT my auction ... mine is not for sale! :dweez:
  10. I think I'll check it out on Spotify when it gets released ... if I really like it, maybe I'll buy the hard copy. I wouldn't mind hearing the Steven Wilson remix, but I think the existing mix of AFTK is pretty good so not sure how much improvement one can expect.
  11. I only saw the set on the DVD, but it was pretty cool. Apparently, Rush were prepared to play an encore, but the emcee came out after they played and basically said, "ok, now it's time to move on" so they opted not to go back out.
  12. Please, keep the politics in the appropriate threads. I am quite certain that "my political point of view" is NOT the biggest takeaway from the Time Stand Still documentary. I just watched it again ... the ending still chokes me up a little. I actually would not be surprised if the guys got together for a musical project (maybe few songs to be released for charity or something, or a few festival shows), but there seems to be little question that R40 was the last Rush tour.

    R40 Merch

I think the dalmatian shirt is a poly/cotton blend. Different fit than the 100% cotton shirts, but breathes better. I would have been all over the dalmatian shirt if it was 100% cotton, but ... C'est la vie.

    R40 Merch

Agreed. I got 4 of the basic blue R40 tour shirts and 1 of the skull design. My intent is to wear them except I'll keep one each of the shirts pristine for my collection ... such as it is. At $9.99, they are cheap enough that you could use them to wash your car. :-) I'm sure in a couple years folks will be selling them on eBay as a "rare collectible" for $150 each, and someone will pay it.

    R40 Merch

Just received a package from the Backstage Club, 5 tour shirts from the R40 tour for $9.99 each. Get 'em while they're cheap! :-) P.S. Sadly, I do not receive a commission from the sales of tour shirts ...
  16. I bought the raglan shirt pictured in this thread through the Backstage Club and ended up sending it back. I really wanted to like it, and it looks very cool, but it was just too form-fitting for me. I wish it had been just made in 100% cotton. The next larger size would have fit looser, but would have been too big so it was an "oh, well...." moment for me. I have seen others wearing it, though, so at the current $19.99 price it might be worth giving it a shot if you think it might be something you'll like.
  17. CTRL ALT left arrow it is! I didn't know you could do that ... thanks!
  18. Any way to get it to show up in landscape on my PC screen instead of portrait?
  19. Evening, Rush peeps! I've been away for a week, need my Rush fix! :-)
  20. Four necks are better than one! Killer seats, eh? I gotta hire you as my ticket broker! Pretty good seats, 4th row pit ... I was in the front row for S&A in Philly (got lucky on a walk-up ticket), but it was waaayyyy over on the left -- this seat was right smack in the middle, which was AWESOME. I decided to not even try to get good seats in the general sale and went straight to the VIP route from the get-go. It was expensive as heck, but I am very glad I got to at least see them once from up close AND in the middle.
  21. What a great show it was last night in the ATL!!! Hi to Narps and Mr. JD and his daughter, plus some nice non-TRF folks from Alabama and some friends who were going to the show as well -- Miller's was a great place to grab something to eat before the show. Here's a shot I took during the show ... as you can tell, it was taken during Xanadu. :-) http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7779/18153867496_41664e85d4_z.jpg
