  1. Can someone post the article or summarize? Rush.com has crashed.
  2. What does it say? Rush.com has crashed!!
  3. I just thought they were too overpowering sometimes - YYZ and Headlong Flight come to mind. I would honestly have preferred background singers so we don't have to hear the synthesized Geddy.
  4. This was my first "new" Rush and I consider it my Rush if you know what I mean. I love it! Time Stand Still always goes through my head at this time of year...summer's going fast nights growing colder...
  5. How about yelling ATTENTION ALL PLANETS OF THE SOLAR FEDERATION WE HAVE ASSUMED CONTROL? That might confuse the heck out of your victim.
  6. I think I fell into the category of rebelling against it's awesomeness because it was popular when I was younger. I always skipped over it and was bored of hearing it live. Now, I really get into it - as someone else said, there are so many incredible things to focus on. Each time you listen, you can hear something new it seems. I am not a drummer, but I think the drum track is just unreal and Geddy's base and Alex's Solo....
  7. Two incredible pieces of music and a neat story.
  8. 1. Hemispheres 2. Permanent Waves 3. Signals 4. Moving Pictures 5. Fly by Night 6. 2112 7. Clockwork Angels 8. Hold Your Fire 9. Power Windows 9. Grace Under Pressure 9. A Farewell to Kings 9. Vapor Trails 9. Counterparts 9. Snakes & Arrows 9. Caress of Steel 9. Roll the Bones 9. Presto 9. Test for Echo 19. Rush After my top 8, I have a whole lot in the middle that I can't rank, and then end with the first album.
  9. I kid. Their greatest song. The music is unreal and the imagery is amazing. I used the "when I leave" line as my senior quote twenty some years ago as I lived in a small town and couldn't wait to get out and see the world. Twenty some Yeats later I appreciate the niceness of a small town.
  10. I was at my daughter's soccer game in a small town last year and up walks this guy in an awesome red S&A Tour shirt. I said awesome shirt man an he looks at me like I was crazy. He said he wa just wearing it because his daughters team was red. Kind of got the big FU from him and kept walking. Very strange.
  11. I love it...my favorite off of Presto. I think what first drew my attention was that it was a little heavier than the other songs and I lovethe way Geddy's bass pops. As someone else mentioned, the lyrics paint a neat picture, too. I don't mind the solo. I think it is supposed to be all over the place- maybe like a fork of lightning...
  12. Sorry if this was brought up years ago when R3 came out, but has anyone noitced the awesome Alex guitar that is buried under the original solo and Geddy endlessly saying One Little Victory? I just listened to it today for the first time on my iPhone and crappy earbuds and heard the quiet layer of guitar. It never came through on my car stereo. Can anyone with nice earphones confirm that this is as cool as I think it is? I hope they bring this out more on the remixed album.
  13. Can a Rush song be overrated? I can think of a couple I would like to write, but then I think that they are pretty damn awesome.
  14. Somber shmomber. 3 of the greatest songs of all time Subdivisions The Analog Kid New World Man
  15. I love Brought Up to Believe. I think it is one if the best on the album. If just rocks out. I would have preferred skipping Halo Effect....
  16. Maybe get on key??? Just kidding. Cool stuff.
  17. I think like someone else mentioned - the 1000 Geddy's. I would rather have that empty space filled in with awesome fills or even synths.
  18. Just an awesome song. Live it went to incredible.
  19. I wouldn't mind that, although I am bored of Witch Hunt live. I would love to see The Enemy Within and Alex's solo in The Weapon. I think Freeze would be cool, too.
  20. Oh! You're the #1 fanboy? That's odd. I thought NHL was. Hmmm... I think we all have to be to be reading this site.
  21. I just noticed this, too, and I was wondering the same thing. Thanks for asking. I get the lyrics goofed up in my head and I am #1 fanboy, so I can't imagine singing these same songs every night and not getting lost.
