  1. I still love and consider all time greats: Headlong Flight and The Anarchist Really Like a Whole lot: Caravan, BU2B, CA, Carnies, The Wreckers Find myself really liking a lot for some odd reason: Wish Them Well Skippers: Halo Effect, SCoG, The Garden Don't Consider a song: BU2B2
  2. I defined it as not in heavy rotation on tour or radio. Prior to the TfE tour, I would have said Natural Science was obscure, but I am pretty sure they played that right up through r30. My memory is fading a little. I would say it is semi obscure....I picked Entre Nous as it has only been played once.
  3. Just a goofy topic for a slow period. List your favorite obscure songs per album. Obscure is a little obtuse - I just mean not in heavy rotation on tours, radio, etc. Rush - Need Some Love FbN - Making Memories CoS - The Fountain of Lamneth (the whole album is obscure minus Bastille Day) 2112 - Lessons AFtK - Cinderella Man Hemispheres - Circumstances PeW - Entre Nous MP - The Camera Eye Signals - Countdown P/G or GuP (so as not to offend) - Kid Gloves or The Body Electric PoW - Grand Designs or Middletown Dreams HYF - Prime Mover Presto - Chain Lightning RtB - You Bet Your Life Counterparts - Cut to the Chase!, Everyday Glory, Between Sun and Moon TfE - Dog Years, Carve Away the Stone VT - Ceiling Unlimited, How It Is, Out of the Cradle SA - Good News First CA - BU2B
  4. I exist. Please post if you ever come closer to Rochester. No offense, but I wouldn't drive to Buffalo. I would definitely see you this way. Hope the show does well.
  5. I only want to hear the re-mastered version. . I do really love Secret Touch and it is super intense live.
  6. Agreed. The R30 tour was awesome until Mystic Rhythm made its appearance.        Marathon is better than Mystic Rhythms any day of the week! If something from PW has to be played let it be that mini Epic! :rush: :haz: :rush: Ha yes - Marathon is just an incredible song on both the album and live and still sounds great today. I get super pumped when I hear it. One of my all time favorites.
  7. I should like it better live as it is so thin on the album, but I don't really want to hear it live. If we were going to pick a Presto song, I would go for Chain Lightning.
  8. Please no. Like the song, but boring live.
  9. To set them straight: Hemispheres, PeW, Moving Pictures, 2112, Signals, FbN, AFtK, Counterparts, VT, CA
  10. I really like all of Conterparts, but Double Agent is one of my favorites - just super heavy. My other favorites - Cut to the Chase, Between Sun and Moon, Everyday Glory and Animate. The only skipper for me is Speed of Love.
  11. I really like the song, I just don't know how it would come off live. Maybe it would get a little more balls live - like all the rest of the songs on that album that are so good, yet so weak sounding on the album.
  12. Well, The Analog Kid is my favorite song and I am now no longer a kid. Plus, I remembered a funny MM character on SNL, the middle aged man.
  13. I just think it is an awesome song. I get super chills at the musical outro right after WE WILL CALL YOU CYGNUS THE GOD OF BALANCE YOU SHAAAAALL BE. I'm getting chills right now just thinking of it. I will have to go put it on.
  14. I was probably 11 or so and still was into top 40 ( I had a lot of girls in the neighborhood and unfortunately no cool older boys to show me the way). I heard New World Man on Casey Casum's (sp?) Top 40 and was hooked ever since. I had to find out everything I could about them from that point on and have been obsessed ever since.
  15. I love it. I agree - hidden gem.
  16. One of the few positive comments I can say about any modern pop act is at least they still play instruments and have some talent.
  17. It wasn't awful. The music wasn't bad, other than botching the solo section, but the dudes voice is not suited to sing Geddy. My girls are really into Rush, and they also like this band. They were abhorred by the way it sounded. I had to laugh.
  18. I agree with the sequencers. I really wish they never got into technology. I still love new Rush, but like it a lot better when it was just simple keys with no backing vocals, sounds, etc. Foot pedals and Moog are good enough for me.
  19. Here's mine. This is really hard... La Villa Book II 2112 The Trees Anthem By Tor BBB Lessons FbN FoL
  20. It was one of the best tours ever (maybe they all are). I saw them 5 times that tour, including opening night in Albany from Govenor's the luxury box - free booze and bathroom access... The video boot of the Albany show is pretty good.
  21. I thought the point of this post was to say that they are all awesome songs. I can agree to that. The Analog Kid and New World Man are two of my all time favorites. I have never heard that connection, but it is an intersting hypothesis.
