  1. This is where I'm at, too. I buy pretty much everything but I'm going to wait for the price to come down on this one.
  2. My personal favorite era of Rush is the mid-80s but I'm also well aware that that isn't the majority opinion.
  3. There is no way they recorded zero performances from a tour when they were near the height of their popularity in the early 80s when they did record stuff from every other tour around that time.
  4. On the Rushbackstage website, the Permanent Waves special edition is still available to purchase (https://www.rushbackstage.com/product/6XLPRU067/permanent-waves-40th-anniversary-super-deluxe-box-set?cp=102112_102215_102518), and it costs $50 less than the Signals box set despite containing way more bonus stuff to justify the cost and it being a much bigger/more popular record that you could get away with charging more for. The pricing for the Signals one is all the way out of whack. I'd pay about $125 or at most $150 for what's in there.
  5. I think there's a decent chance this is the last one anyway. These things aren't cheap to produce and after you get past Signals and get into the mid-80s, those records were more polarizing among fans and also didn't have the same level of commercial/radio success as Permanent Waves and Moving Pictures. And past the mid-80s, forget it. The couple hundred people who post regularly on this forum are the entirety of the audience for a $200 box set of Presto or Roll the Bones.
  6. I'll probably skip this one for now. It probably won't sell out like the Moving Pictures one did so maybe I'll buy it down the line when I have a little more money to burn on something like that, but no live material dampens the enthusiasm for me. Sucks because this is an era/tour I'd be REALLY excited to hear professional-quality live recordings from/
  7. I got my CD and shirt in the mail today. The CD is just a standard jewel case but the booklet is not flimsy. Has all the lyrics. It's legit.
  8. My recollection is that Geddy had plans to do a club/theater tour to support the album but then around that time, Neil said he was ready to come back to Rush so that obviously took priority.
  9. New 18-minute single off their album out in March. Sounds a lot like Rush. Killer stuff
  10. Oh, man. I hope they put the full performance out in this quality. This performance kicks ass.
  11. They probably do that because that's such a well-known song and that makes it more likely people who didn't know them will remember their name and seek them out if they play a cover of a song everybody knows. I agree with you that I don't love it but I get it.
  12. The obvious choice to me is Rufus Taylor. Played at the tribute show and did a great job, was friends with/mentored by him, and Taylor's all-time favorite band was Queen so I'll bet he'd think it was pretty cool that Queen's drummer's son replaced him. They look a lot alike too. Don't think anyone could get mad at that choice.
  13. Ordered a shirt (just the basic black/white logo one) and the Error CD from the US store. Glad they finally got that up and running.
  14. I liked Muse a lot in the mid-2000s. Think they've kind of gone off the deep end in the last 10 years or so and become a bit of a self-parody. But this is a great opportunity for the Warning.
  15. Rush never really did too many festivals like that after the early days once they became a headlining act, so this is interesting.
  16. If you get Showtime, it's streaming on their app. I watched it a few weeks ago. Very very good. Well worth the time.
  17. Nilufer Yanya - Painless The Smile - A Light for Attracting Attention The Warning - ERROR Sharon Van Etten - We’ve Been Going About This All Wrong Bartees Strange - Farm to Table Jack White - Fear of the Dawn Maggie Rogers - Surrender Angel Olsen - Big Time Marcus King - Young Blood Rosalía - MOTOMAMI
  18. "Amour" and "Error" have become two of my favorite tracks on the album.
  19. This is good news, I've wanted to buy the Error CD and a shirt but I'm not paying shipping prices from Mexico.
  20. Cool to see how much this thread has taken off since I started it after going in blind to see them live in April. Still loving the new album.
  21. They sound great. I don't love them calling it Pantera but Zakk and Charlie have been very up-front in interviews that it shouldn't be viewed as a "reunion" and they're doing it to honor Vinnie and Dime. So I'm not mad at it. They got the right two guys for the gig.
  22. Wait to buy tickets until week of show. They're announcing these shows two years out so tons of people who bought tickets this week won't be able to go.
