    Car repairs probably and then what's left over give to Homeless Shelter. Wish I could do more but we are ordering from local restaurants in our area trying to keep them in business.

    Been going for daily walks for almost a week now, after a period of little activity it is hard to go very fast. It helps to see the trees and mountains, breathe in fresh air. Hope more will do it.

    Well, on the whole we may see people be nicer for a while. Been seeing a lot of folks helping out their neighbors, bringing food and supplies to elderly shut-ins. Even local breweries are making hand sanitizer. What's next? Cats and Dogs getting along?

    Had a 3.9 aftershock last night at 7pm. This is normal for aftershocks to continue for weeks after but I thought they were supposed to decrease in strength, crazy. Sitting on the couch and then I am rocking side to side, very bizarre. Looking at USGS site, we had a 2.9 this morning. Also Nevada and California having some over the last few days. Guess this is normal but most of the shocks usually are so small you don't feel them. Now its like I am hypervigilant and waiting for them.

    Possible postponement of Tokyo Olympics. Yesterday Canada and Australia said they wouldn't send athletes now a senior official says it will be held next year https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/olympics/2020/03/23/olympics-2020-ioc-member-tokyo-games-postponed-dick-pound-coronavirus/2899848001/ Tokyo doesn't want to do this but looks like it will be put off, this is sad and yet it just doesn't seem smart to pretend this will be completely resolved by July.

    Yes you are right but she was working for an animal sanctuary so they are like a non-profit and I don't know if they will be in line to get the government funds. I think it was a knee jerk reaction and maybe didn't think it through. :sigh:

    Hubby and I are taking walks almost every day. He is telecommuting as of last week and I am retired :D. Went out to dinner last weekend and the following Monday all restaurants and bars are closed to the public. Have called a couple of our favorite local places and ordered pickup, drove up and they brought it out to the curb. Yesterday took a cat to the vet and they had me call first, came out to the car and got him. I signed the paperwork and left it on a hook on the front door. Same thing when I went back to get him, being very careful. Was weird driving back home, should have been rush hour on the freeway but it wasn't that crowded. Guess lots are actually staying off the road.

    Why would she quit her job? She should have made them fire her and that's a slam dunk unemployment case. I asked myself that but I guess she wanted to stay on their good side so they might hire her back after things settle down.

    The original songs are on You Tube, listening to Secret Touch right now. That song drew me into Rush after I heard it on Beyond the Lighted Stage. I love the original version, they are raw but full of the emotions Neil went through. I bought the remix to see for myself and wasn't impressed, seemed to be washed out and a shell of the original. Don't think I listened to it more than twice. Original mix rocks for me!

    Sad to hear this, I remember my parents had an album of the New Christy Minstrels, Kenny was just one of many artists that started with them. Barry McGuire, Kim Carnes and Larry Ramos (the Association). I've never been a big country fan, my dad drove me crazy with Merle Haggard so I tuned it out mostly. Kenny was easy on the ears and the song Lucille was very good, his duet with Dolly Parton (written by Barry Gibbs of the Bee Gees) I liked as well. RIP

    Talked with my cousin in another state and she thinks she has it. Had to quit her job because she doesn't have any sick days to take and so that rules out unemployment. She is on SS and has a small pension but she needed the job to stay above water. She seems pretty calm about it, it is so frustrating that she is thousands of miles away and alone. Keeping my fingers crossed for her.

    I now see the problem we are having. You trust the spin and I don't. Pretty simple. Remember impeachment? John Bolton etc? The hysteria? Lots of media generated hysterics over the past 4 years or so and none have panned out in their favor. Just my opinion and I pay close attention... I am sure for the most part you can guess. The media enjoys hype and eyeballs and power. After what I have witnessed the past 12 years or so I can't believe anything they say. As I said enjoy the hype while I get on with my life... People are dying and you think it won't affect you? Unless you are in a hermetically sealed container, you are in danger. Why is it that everything is a conspiracy to take down Trump? Logic would tell you that is nonsensical, everything that happens is not about him. He's supposed to be our Leader and steer the Country through these rough times. Instead he acts like a child and says everybody is being mean to me. You obviously have your mind made up and that makes me sad that you would be so callous to dismiss what is happening all around you. I'm very dismayed to see someone I have liked to talk to on TRF act like he is brainwashed. I don't know what else to call it, the refusal to accept anything that collides with your world view is very disturbing.

    Good News!! Maddie was hiding in the basement and decided to make an appearance tonight :P. Guess the little stinker had a great hidey hole but I am so relieved she is ok! :ebert:
