Gee that sounds like Utah, the liberals in Salt Lake County are now muzzled by the rest of the rural population by the last redistricting. Going from a majority to a super majority makes any change almost impossible now they cut the county into 4 parts with rural areas attached to them. It's a mess.

Not everyone sees Musk in the same light, his so-called belief in free speech has turned X into a cesspool of racism and antisemitism is rampant there. He also has been sabotaging Starlink connections in Ukraine among other questionable actions.

Avs close out the year with a win over San Jose. MacKinnon still has his home game streak going (though the consecutive points stopped at 19 games December 29th) . Second only to Kucherov in total points and also leads in assists, so he's still clicking along nicely. Last two games have been grinders but a win is a win.

Didn't make my goal for reading this year, too many podcasts I guess. Managed 15 of 20. Only the second time since I started keeping a count, so on the whole not so bad. But it is depressing that I could read 80 books or more in a year when I was working and now that I am retired can barely make 40 (2022).

The contrast with Dick made Tom even funnier, I loved the mischievous little boy looks he would get on his face as he prepared to launch a zinger. RIP

Just got the book for Christmas from hubby. Now I can look at the pictures as I continue to listen to the audio. Really enjoying listening to Ged's voice.

It's not his fault, he's scoring at a great level, they just have a 3rd string goalie and some others with injuries. He and DeBrincat are clicking pretty good IMHO

Avs give me a scare tonight before MacKinnon goes on a tear and scores 4 goals! 6-4 over Senators. First time in Avs history, can't believe Sakic didn't have 4 goals in a game . He also scored his 300th goal and 5th hat trick. He has tied Nylander for longest current point streak. Enjoying it but wish they didn't have a let down in the 2nd period again.

Geddy did write 1,200 pages so we didn't get everything in the book because editors pared it down. Perhaps he will share more of it at a later time. I am happy he has done what he has.

I saw Audible had it but I think it is the abridged version. I am going to have to get my tapes copied into a digital format before they get too old. I am sure you will enjoy it.

Heard it was 1,200 pages originally, so there was a lot of paring down I am parsing it out myself, don't want to speed read it. Enjoying the tale and listening to Geddy narrate it.

Going for some holiday themed stuff. Listening to The Adventure of the Blue Carbuncle (Holmes), and for laughs the Santa Land Diaries (Sedaris) and if I can manage it again A Christmas Carol narrated by Patrick Stewart. I saw him perform this one man rendition in the 90's and I bought the cassettes and listen to it almost every Christmas. Fantastic. Also reading a quick novella Ghosts and Garlands in a time traveling series by Kelley Armstrong. All short stuff so I can hopefully meet my reading challenge for the year.

Finished Kanan Ominbus tonight. Was a quick fun read, learned some new things about him as an apprentice and a brief glimpse of his Master Depa Billaba. His time on the planet Kaller (and his relationships with several inhabitants) was central to the path his life followed. Not a linear story, jumps back and forth with flashbacks and some dream sequences. Not something I would buy since not really a graphic novel person, checked it out from the library.

It's in the air obviously, I heard he got some flak for sitting Bedard out late in games.

What am I missing here?

Avs get another win, Rantenen has scored again and MacKinnon continues his points streak. This is much better

Got a refund check in the mail, thought it was going to be a headache to get it but they sent it out right away. More Christmas money
