Thought we moved the ball well. Too many penalties against a good defense tho. Was disappointed in the defense. Seemed like like they were surprised on several of the running plays.

I haven't got a dog in that fight, but the bottom line is that Carolina's offensive line was not playing up to a standard that enables Cam Newton's style of play. Maybe the Broncos' pass rush just overwhelmed them, but if he's taking shots anything like he took last night, he will not last. Modern NFL defenses are just too physical for a QB to be taking those shots over and over.

Well yes, even tho Newton is a durable QB, Panther fans hope he doesn't take a shot in his ear hole like that every week. Panther OL is sound. They weren't overwhelmed, they were beat on a number of occasions which a top notch defense like Denver will do. We lost by 1 point, my Cam hating friend, and 8 times out of 10 that FG would have been good. Denver was fortunate.

well you may be right, ken. Sacked 7 times in a ugly loss to minn this week. vikings have really good pass rush too so hoping that was it .

24 -10 . Was much closer game than that score. In fact I think these two teams were as close as Gano's FG hitting off the upright.

IMO, the 68 punt return which should have been returned for 0 yards. was the difference.

Hats off to Denver defense, excluding Talib, which played nearly flawlessly and earned their team and Peyton Manning who I have always admired a Super bowl ring and championship.

 

It's disappointing to fall short when you are so close, but it was a hard fought game and it was a great season. This fan thanks you and wishes the team a safe and enjoyable off season.

Look forward to next year. This team will be even better. This team will keep pounding. This team will get in.

Promise Panthers will improve their receiving corps next year. For starters they'll get their best one and #1 draft pick, Kelvin Benjamin back from season injury. And they are an all around young team with contracts in order. And y'all can hate Newton all you want, but he is just entering his prime. Selfish? Ha! We could talk about why there's so much criticism of Cam, but I'm not sure you'd like the direction of that conversation either.

The reason his arrogance upsets me so much is because of his serious pouting rants when he wasn't doing so good, back in the days when he was sitting alone on sideline hiding underneath a towel, refusing to interact with his offense on the bench, arguing with coaches and then after losses not giving the opposing winning QB any respect, couldn't look half of them in the eye.

He was criticized for it and I've not seen it since his 2nd season. He has turned into a much better team leader. His 3rd and 4th seasons were not great team seasons but he showed more composure and positive team energy.
