  1. Being from Richmond, I've been to this venue several times. There is a a stage in the basement/1st floor and the main stage on the 2nd floor. I've never noticed any issues with sound whenever I have been there so I will assume this was a one-time issue. I was downtown Sat. night as well, pretty much exactly one mile from the Canal Club (went to the jampacked music festival on Brown's island).
  2. FYI - There is a showing of the 25th anniversary special on the Comedy Channel - Sat. night at 10pm Eastern. Scheduled for 2 hours so it is anyone's guess how much of the Rush stuff will be in it.
  3. Thank you for the info. Did not know when/where it was from.
  4. Supposed to see Gov't Mule tonight in Richmond. But it's outside and supposed to storm all night so I doubt it's gonna happen. Haven't seen Mule since Dec 2019 (but I think I've seen them about 30 times)
  5. Can't recall if this was posted here before. I don't recall seeing it.
  6. Thanks for the info regarding Isaiah. The last couple Crowes shows I saw were with Jackie Greene. I didn't think he brought magic as Luther and Marc Ford had. Glad your buddy enjoyed the show. I did see the live stream of them playing the new EP '72' a few months back from the Whiskey in LA (link : Crowes - Whiskey) where they had Charlie Starr (of Blackberry Smoke) in the lead spot. Was impressed with what he brought.
  7. Either 1 or 2 with me along with Hemispheres. I think I've probably listened to COS (especially The Necromancer and The Fountain) more than any other album.
  8. I've had to miss the last couple of Crowes shows near me due to travelling for work. Haven't seen them in years due to their latest hiatus. But I have seen them over 20 times. Saw them every chance I could during the Luther Dickenson era. Curious to see who is in the lead spot now.
  9. I've seen quite a few WSP shows. Glad you enjoyed it. Which Phish shows are you doing? I'm heading to Raleigh on Friday and then Merriwether Post on Sat and Sun.
  10. Good thread idea. Ibanez Jim, that is a tough choice. I've seen modern day Skynyrd but never the real Skynyrd, so I will go with that. Lynyrd Skynyrd 1976 Allman Brothers - Filmore East - 1970
  11. Dead and Company tomorrow night in Bristow (Washington DC area). Wednesday's show was cancelled due to John Mayer's dad having a medical emergency. So hoping things are well with him. Miss the great TRF tailgates we used to have there. I did text SteelCaressed (hasn't posted in about 10 years) hoping he will join in.
  12. Absolutely. Especially if you pretty much only listen to the debut - MP
  13. Did anyone manage to get tickets to either show? I went on Ticketbastard shortly after on sale time for the LA show (wasn't planning on actually getting at ticket, but was curious about price) and had to wait about 20 minutes until I got my turn in line. As expected, all tickets were already sold out.
  14. Most airlines waived change fees in the COVID era so it might not cost you anything to change. Worth looking.
  15. Now if we could only get Alex and Ged to play at the benefit for another drummer. The event in St. Catharines.
  16. Yup. Probably wouldn't have won it in 96 and 01. But if things were different they may have made a run under other circumstances (but not likely)
  17. Didn't realize this had ended already. Thought it was going through the weekend. But I see it is live now. So much for me cashing in my 401k and bidding 310k
  18. For future setlist inquiries, this is a great resource Setlists
  19. I do like the amp capo bit (at the 41:27 mark)
  20. I thought they already made a sequel. It wasn't that good, so I don't think this Spinal Tap 2 would be a good idea. But as others have mentioned, I too hope I am wrong and would love to see another classic. ""A two-hour, made-for-TV sequel, The Return of Spinal Tap, was broadcast and released on video in 1992 to promote Break Like the Wind. It consisted mostly of footage from an actual Spinal Tap concert at the Royal Albert Hall. In it the "Stonehenge" joke from the original movie is referenced, as the new, large prop is instead too big to get into the venue.""
