  1. I loved Battlestar Galactica (I even met Mary Mc in a sad, but amusing story), however, once the show ended in quite possibly the worst series finale ever, I decided not to get into Caprica. Not too keen on any other spinoffs either. Not to be harsh, but I think Ron Moore needs to let that world just slowly fade.

  3. I think zazzle.com might have them, but they would just be cheap knock offs. But hey, it's worth a shot.
  4. Metric- awful. That could have partially been due to the fact that most of the people interested in them were eighteen year old drunk girls. But not a great live act. Weezer- not a fan of their music, but live, they were very funny and amusing. MUSE- no words. Probably one of the greatest bands to see live ever. Amazing in every sense of the word. I am ready to see them again (although I highly doubt I'll ever be that close to the stage again).
  5. This is going to sound so pretentious, but Ingmar Bergman. I just love him and I'm not afraid to admit it. And Mel Brooks.
  6. QUOTE (thing2jordan @ Oct 29 2010, 11:24 AM) I found a vid of Take Off with the intro! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YxuzkYI0OrE You are a SAINT! I looked everywhere on bloody youtube and I had no desire to try and attempt to upload that from my iTunes because I am computer-stupid. My poor Mac nearly exploded from my typing. Isn't that the greatest though? Geddy saying "eh" is the greatest ever. The whole album is pure brilliance though (as is SCTV).
  7. edit: IDEK. Twitter username: signmypapyrus Facebook (I may not be searchable, I'm not sure): Amanda C. Swenson
  8. I already mentioned MUSE, but I will be at Voodoo Fest this Friday. I'm kind of bummed I didn't book the whole weekend since I sort of want to see Ozzy just to say I'm seeing Ozzy, but oh well. Most of the lesser bands kind of suck this year.
  9. QUOTE (iluvgeddy05 @ Oct 28 2010, 11:40 AM) QUOTE (PhilCastro @ Oct 27 2010, 01:34 AM) I have two papers due tomorrow... well i guess its today now... I've been working on them since 10am... Looks like I might as well just not go to sleep tonight I remember those days.. After you graduate and get "a real job", you will look back at those nights and think "how the hell did I do that!" Or you will think, "I MISS IT SO MUCH!" So, the tattoo really itches and I'm being very good and not touching it. I'm using lotion, but it doesn't seem to help; I even tried my mare's ultra moisturizing hoof healer, but that didn't even seem to help either (that's basically super moisturizing lotion). I'm told this is normal, but it's kind of irksome.
  10. Every year since I was a smallish child, my grandparents (who still live in the great white north) let me know when it snows. Well, I just got the e-mail informing me that they had a blizzard. So, I love that my 80-something year old grandparents know how to use a computer, that they still live alone, and that they remember to inform me every year when it snows. (Grandma also usually includes some canning recipe) Oh, wait, it was a cookie baking recipe this time. My bad.
  11. QUOTE (1 of the 7 @ Oct 28 2010, 12:06 AM) QUOTE (garbo @ Oct 27 2010, 12:32 PM) Have you heard his wonderful northern accent in Take Off? I'm gonna show my new fan-ness here and say no I sense there's something to look forward to in my future, though? I'm having a rough time finding it on youtube (I, sadly, have the Bob and Doug McKenzie CD, which is kind of shameful and embarrassing). This is without the intro, but you need to hear the intro where they ask Geddy to put on a toque and what not. It's freakin' hilarious. Otherwise it's just this with him singing and Bob and Doug talking. Take Off! Here's the original text (one must imagine it all with really think northern accents and very deadpan). I think it was all improvised, too, since all of Bob and Doug's Great White North sketches were improvised on SCTV. Doug: Okay, be real nice to him, eh. Bob: Okay. This is the hit single section our album, eh. (Both) Good day. Geddy Lee is here from Rush. *stammers* Hi Geddy, I'm Bob McKenzie and this is my brother, Doug. Doug: How's it going, Geddy? Geddy: *in a really great northern accent* Oh, it's going pretty good. Good day, eh? Bob and Doug: *in unison* Good day! Bob: Thanks for coming down to do our hit. Geddy: Well, it's my pleasure. Bob: Did, did our lawyer call you? Geddy: Yeah. Well, yeah, ten bucks is ten bucks. Bob: Well, we hope you don't mind, but there's a photographer that's gonna be taking pictures of us together to prove that you were here to do the record. Doug: In case people don't believe us. Geddy: I'll tell people, 'How come he's not wearing a toque?' Doug: Oh, he's not from The Great White North then. Bob: If you'd like put on a toque and some headphones we can do the hit single now. Geddy: Sure. That'd be great. Bob: Do you have the lyric sheet? (both are kind of overlapping talking) Geddy: Oh, yeah. I memorized them. Bob: Oh! Great! Beauty. Doug: How did you do that so fast? Geddy: *real quiet and slow like* I'm a professional-like. Bob and Doug laugh and snort. Doug: We'll just sit over here while you're singing, eh. All three together: Okay. Geddy: Thanks, guys! Then the song starts. I think what's scary is that I've watched SCTV for so long and so many years and so many times that I can distinguish between Rick Moranis (Bob) and Dave Thomas (Doug) when they're talking.
  12. In the 80's. We're supposed to have a hurricane this week (WTF) and I'm going camping with the fat mare. Well, if we get washed away, I can say I at least died with my horse.
  13. QUOTE (Lost In Xanadu @ Oct 27 2010, 12:26 PM) just got a promotion of sorts! Wooo!! Promotions are always good! Congrats! Yesterday I had a "Come to Jesus" meeting with a horse, which I always enjoy. That probably sounds insane, but I love "Come to Jesus" meetings with ponies. Today, I had an awesome meeting with a friend of mine at a volunteer group. I'm just always pleased with this place I volunteer at.
  14. QUOTE (1 of the 7 @ Oct 26 2010, 10:51 PM) In my next life, can I come back as a toboggan (like, that one)? Oh, and the wine one is reeeeeeally cute...and love the bare chest, but it's the hair that's really getting me...that beautiful hair. Neil's isn't too shabby either...gotta give Neil some love too... I sent that video to my sister and basically it's a chronicle of our childhood. It's so spot on and amazing I cry every time I watch it (from laughter). Have you heard his wonderful northern accent in Take Off? Oh Geddy, you make my heart sing... wait, did I say that out loud...? The wine one is my wallpaper right now. To add to the mix. I might make this my signature with a cracky caption (any ideas??). http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v450/Garbo/rush-cover-lee-l_685141gm-e.jpg
  15. Well, damn, I want to feel the lash of Geddy's spit across my face so looks like I'm going to be shuffling out the big bucks. Or I need a rich boyfriend. WTF is wrong with this picture that it is I, the Geddicorn, seeking out the boyfriend to drag to a Rush concert? Hath hell frozen over? I've found for other concerts though that it depends on the venue and location, however, I'm not sure if that's true. I would love if someone could clear that up for me.
  16. QUOTE (rushlady23 @ Oct 26 2010, 12:08 PM) QUOTE (garbo @ Oct 25 2010, 06:41 PM) I'm not sure I should confess this, but on my walk today I got taken down by a Dachsund. I'm sorry, but that just struck me as funny! But I shouldn't laugh because my sister has a vicious Puggle that tries to attack me every time I visit her house Laugh all you want because once I got over it I cracked up laughing. For being someone who daily deals with huge horses, I am scared of weird things like geese and our turkey and that little neighborhood Dachshund. I've even touched a shark, but dang if a little turkey doesn't scare me. I'm in the middle part of transitioning AED medications so I have no willpower, which is frustrating. I also ran into the wall, but again, I give all the liberty to laugh at that because it's kind of funny.

Thanks so much for posting and making my day.
  19. Ugh, sorry about the continuing health issues! Have the doctors found nothing yet?
  20. I'm very pleased to hear you're not having seizures, Drum.
  21. QUOTE (GeddysMullet @ Oct 23 2010, 01:24 PM) I give you, from the 2nd row in Pittsburgh, my lucky shot to add to the Geddy Is Crazyhot In Jeans gallery: http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x285/geddysmullet/Pittsburgh%202010/NWW91610-01.jpg *picks up jaw off of the ground*
  22. I did not get an awesome 2112 tattoo today.

You know, it rings and you see that picture and it's like, "Why bother answering when you can just stare at Geddy?" Bills don't get paid, your car gets towed... Uh... I thought this was funny.
