My favorite epic is Xanadu. It is in my top 5 Rush songs. But it is not my favorite Rush song.
-
Bastille Day Xanadu
-
The song 2112 did nothing for me. I do not dislike it, but it is not my favorite epic of theirs. Ditto for Cygnus X-1 and Hemispheres. I prefer Xanadu.

I hope they do play Red Sector A. It is my favorite from that album. It is my guitar instructor's favorite Rush song. This may not be a popular opinion, given how scary that song is. But I would still like to hear it live. Otherwise, I do not think they will particularly highlight GuP. I mean, it had not been quite 30 years when they played the entire MP in the Time Machine tour. They played it because it was their best selling album with their best known song.

Which Rush album has gone the longest distance?
IChoseFreeWill replied to Gedneil Alpeart's topic in Rush
Hold Your Fire, though Power Windows is a close second. Hold Your Fire has some of the most optimistic Rush songs ever. -
It would be nice if they played Bastille Day live. Mainly because I am a big Rose of Versailles fan. However, it is not in my top 3 songs I want to hear live that I have not.

Bastille Day Marathon

Since they like The Who so much, they should cover "Who are you". And have a music video in where they play CSI agents. Otherwise, they can cover Innuendo by Queen. Or Master of Puppets by Metallica.

Which of the "Big 10" should be retired this tour?
IChoseFreeWill replied to Alchemical's topic in On The Lighted Stage
I went with Red Barchetta. It was a coin toss between that one and 2112. Otherwise, I will not complain if they drop Working Man. -
Still cool! And still steampunk

The Final Countdown Eye of the Tiger Twilight Zone Walk like an Egyptian And many, many others. Back during the 80s, my favorite singer was Gloria Estefan- so I like a lot of her 80s songs.

I like Dog Years. I did not particularly care for The Camera Eye.

Which obscure songs do you hope get busted out?
IChoseFreeWill replied to Alchemical's topic in On The Lighted Stage
Prime Mover! And just for fun- Dog Years. Imagine how much audience participation they can get out of it! -
I put YES. Caravan and Headlong Flight are optimistic. Snakes and Arrows is a rather pessimistic album. The most optimistic track from it is an instrumental.
-
Red Sector A Marathon
-
I put a medley. But they can do both Subdivisions and another song.
-
I hope so! I went to the Time Machine show in order to hear Freewill played live. The only trades I am willing to make for Freewill (or Limelight) would be Prime Mover or Xanadu. No other songs am I willing to swap.

What do you think are the scariest songs in the history of music? My votes go for: Red Sector A (of course) One by Metallica

The Weapon Red Sector A

My ringtone is the opening riff from Limelight. But there are other very good ones. I love the opening one from Thunderstruck by AC/DC. And the one in the middle of The Final Countdown by Europe. And of course, the fast one in the middle of I Want It All by Queen.
