  1. I accidentally caught some love from an electric fence once. Pissed me off!
  2. Probably been done five times previous, but what the hell. How many years have you been Rushing? Since mid-2008 for me; that faithful day my mom's best friend threw Snakes and Arrows on my iPod, slowly leading Rush to 'favorite band' status, concerts, and forum membership! How about you?
  3. You mean, "when it happens" and actually "you might be" I'm a little bit afraid of dying, but I'm a lot more afraid of Your Lion.
  4. Didn't get Losing It on my set, but these days I would've actually liked it.
  5. Could totally go for another Geddy album
  6. You've really whore'd it up this year  You could just make it a clean 10k by the new year ya know
  7. I nominate fraroc to be the next hilda I never saw this hilda character, and the forum geezers cling on to it "You don't remember 2005 TRF, man. You weren't even there!!"
  8. *College intensifies* *instructors get emailed*
  9. fraroc Is it a verb? Noun? State of mind?
  10. too late, he left again! ..really?
  11. Glad you got home OK! Won't ask for details! :D :D It's all good, My job is only five minutes away. I have started walking instead of warming up my van for ten or fifteen minutes just for work. I was walking home and I noticed a few police cars down the road. As I got close an officer kept shining his light on me. Once I encountered him. He told me that there was some guy walking around with a rifle. He said I could go home but it was at my own risk. I stood around for about ten minutes after calling home. Finally, I approached him and asked if I could get a ride home. He said sure. I have never been in the back of a police car. Man, that sucks!! No leg room at all and its all plastic. Plus, the seating is so low. I thanked him and I was home safe and sound. :D Buddy and I were walking in the cold once, and a small town cop gave us a ride in his cruiser. I got to sit in the front!
  12. but he isn't here for us. You think he'd have the decency to blow onto the scene every once in a while
  13. It's definitely worth reposting that quote. Massive, pendulous scrotum. Massive pendulous scrotum -Neil Peart
  14. While... the 1's... are still there (I don't partake), there's also trivial, day to day, long term conversations that go on in TOST these days. #tost
  15. I have a storm coming tomorrow night with wind gusts probably up to hurricane speed. That's what we had last week. And our temperatures are in the low teens at night, so losing power in the middle of a cold snap is hard. That can't be any fun, no. We have freezing temperatures in Denmark too, but losing power would be nothing more than an annoyance. The heat would still be on, but I'm not entirely sure if that's the same where you are? The Pacific Northwest, and when the electric goes, so goes the heat for most people even if they have gas heat. Just had the heat out for 24 hours, and even that sucked
  16. this is a good idea That's the problem with buying a fifth before a long weekend Before you know it, it's like "...didn't I purchase an alcohol?"
  17. Can't he get a special driver's license that will allow him to use his vehicle to get to and from his job? The same thing happened to my dad a number of years ago. He went out for a few drinks after work and was pulled over two blocks from home and charged with a DWI. He only had two or three drinks but since it was still fresh in his system he tested over the legal limit. Anyways, he was able to get a special order from the court that allowed him to be able to drive his car to and from work and that was it. Maybe the laws are different here? Did this guy have legal representation? My dad got a lawyer, so that may have helped him in getting a less of a punishment. This is why I have always been in favor of sliding DUI penalties, based on intoxication levels. Not some umbrella punishment. It isn't right for the .085 driver, who is a much safer driver than anyone on their phone, to get the same stiff penalty as the asshole intentionally driving home on a 0.25 every weekend (old roommate comes to mind...).
  18. Nice, enjoy it man. Looks like it's indeed in great cosmetic shape, a time machine to 2005. Interesting that it has crank windows, yet power seats.
  19. Mine hasn't even started! My better 1/2 works for a retailer that opened for Thanksgiving and she had to go to work at 4:30pm (eastern) So I had to have our feast ready by 2:30 I'm going to state here for the record that stores that open on Thanksgiving afternoon/evening SUCK. Probably won't hit any retailer til ~2:00PM tomorrow/today. I can't support "Black Thursday". Frankly, I feel guilty enough that our family keeps going to restaurants on Thursday, forcing people at those restaurants to work Thanksgiving.
  20. From a food standpoint, had the best meal I've ever had this evening. Reading the ads with a cold beer now. :)
