  1. pictures? need to decide for myself if the outfits are appropriate.
  2. it looks like TSOR is the new version of setlist A. played it that way in chicago as well.
  3. QUOTE (umoveme @ Sep 19 2012, 01:54 PM) I might bust a nut when I hear Analog Kid!!! you'll defo bust a nut. perhaps even nuts. i just listened to the original version of Analog Kid. The guitar solo on the recording is good but there is something about the live version. The live verison is one louder and grittier, too.
  4. seen't 'em both and liked 7 Cities way better than Wish them Well.
  5. QUOTE (The Mighty Dudad @ Sep 17 2012, 09:24 AM) I've mentioned this a few times in other threads, but in looking back at Saturday night, I just can't get out of my head how absolutely stunningly monstrously amazing Headlong Flight was in concert. The band and strings played it with such tremendous ferocity, and when the band rejoined after Neil's brief solo...just wow. The crowd completely ate it up and rewarded the performance with what I think was the biggest response of the night. Am I alone here?? Naw man. That was probably the highlight of the night. And that's the great thing about live music...I thought the highlight in DC was The Garden or 2112.
  6. QUOTE (ghostrider2112x1 @ Sep 16 2012, 11:06 AM) Can anyone please tell me if what I think I saw was in fact what I seen. Was that some of the Chicago Blackhawks that came out during Tom Sawyer and beat up the two chickens with Blackhawks jerseys on? Just another incredible show from these guys.... UNBELIEVABLE!! Your eyes did not deceive. And that was pretty damn funny.
  7. QUOTE (rushlady23 @ Sep 16 2012, 07:48 AM) QUOTE (Bone Roller @ Sep 16 2012, 01:12 AM) Just got back from the show. The crowd went nuts when TSOR was played. Way better than Working Man (which I saw on DC). Interestingly, I thought that the Chicago crowd was more into the first half of the set while the DC crowd was more into the second half. Both appreciatd the encore about the same. We didn't get Carnies in DC either Yup. And it's too bad because Carnies came off really well. So did Manhattan Project.
  8. We were 7the row center w/ VIP tix in Chicago.

  10. i went with B based upon the following logic: Body Electric = Middletown Dreams Bravado >>> The Pass Carnies > Seven Cities of Gold Manhattan Project >>> Dreamline The Spirit of Radio <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< 2112/Temples/ Finale
  11. dudes, are you kidding me? i went to the DC show last night. it was incredible. the mid 80s music and the CA songs were brilliant. but Moving Pictures is one of the greatest albums of the 20th century!
  12. QUOTE (BigBob @ Sep 10 2012, 01:47 AM) The Neil Armstrong Tribute was awesome! spoilers --- agreed. that was a fantastic touch. since they had mixed in a few new songs at that point, i started to think that Countdown was going to be coming up. but alas, the caravan kept rolling. i was excited to see Body Electric but good lord, when they busted out 2112 at the end, the place went mental -- me included. the new stuff was just absolutely brilliant. it already deserves to be included among the classics -- it sounded that good. the strings? meh. can't wait to see them again.
  13. i grew up in a classical music home. my dad was an opera singer and i appreciate all forms of music. but when i go to a Rush show, i want to see some rock and roll dammit not the philharmonic!
